Scenic Getaway With Ocean Views

We had a wonderful time at this charming hilltop property overlooking treetops and the ocean. Even though there was a heatwave, we didn't need air conditioning because the home is built in such a way that the cross ventilation provides a natural AC. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need. This is a great spot for a couple's getaway with no kids. It's only a 10 minute drive from town but you feel like you're secluded in the woods. We even saw hummingbirds come up to the hummingbird feeder by the window every morning!

What a gem of a vacation rental in the hills of Santa Cruz!Expertly appointed with everything one could need, exceptional views of the ocean and redwoods, surrounding decks, super comfy bed, beautiful decor and artwork, light and breeze filled windows make this home a place you won’t want to leave. Beautiful views and lovely place! We enjoyed a restful time and loved seeing and hearing so many birds! Comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom, and plenty of windows for views and fresh cool air.

Beautiful spot. The nature around us soothed my soul. We saw deer, bobcat, family of quail, roosters, bats and the friendly dog from a neighbor. The place itself was just right, almost, i wished it didnt have the stairs. It was decorated beautifully in a comfortable and sometimes eclectic way that made me smile. The only other drawback was the narrow road to get to the house. It was a little harrowing but i suppose that is the price you pay for the isolation. Thank you for sharing it.

We stayed for three relaxing and perfect days.Tucked away in the hills and also super convenient to everything in town.

Enjoyed beautiful Santa Cruz area - bobcat sighting! Great Horned Owl! Hawks! Loved the area.

Lots of communication, easy check in. Quiet, beautiful views. Comfortable, great for a couple, slept really well on the king bed. We enjoyed Happy the friendly dog’s visits! Would definitely come back.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet after full days of activity. The views from the property are beautiful, whether you prefer the open vista with a view of the hills and ocean or the feeling of being in the forest with ferns, and an owl in the evening from the back porch.The bed is VERY comfortable, important after a busy day. The kitchen has all the basic equipment and then some. We enyoyed pour overs even though we forgot everything for coffee (except the coffee).

Well-appointed home with an overlook of Santa Cruz and the ocean on a clear day. Worth the drive up the hill to the property for a little isolation and relaxation. The residence is a 2nd-story flat with a soft memory foam king bed. The kitchen has most everything needed for cooking, coffee, and tea. It was a pleasant stay and the host is interested in keeping the place in order.

We loved every part of this opportunity to stay up north. Place was awesome

The cottage was over a mile off road giving us a secluded but peaceful feel. In reality the freeway & suburbs were close. We had an ocean view. The accommodations were super clean & well furnished. It was stocked with all the comforts of home. I highly recommend.

This place was remarkable. I’ve never seen anything like it. It is as secluded as I can ever imagine, however, you’re only a few minutes away from the beach. Magical forest is Walking distance in nearly any direction. Easy access to the freeway, only minutes from the heart of Santa Cruz, and absolutely secure and safe.

We had an amazing stay here up in the trees. The unit was clean, stocked with towels and the check in was easy. Views from both decks were beautiful and relaxing, we will definitely be returning!

I go to Santa Cruz every year to visit my son and daughter who live nearby. This house was in a beautiful, private location only 15 minutes from town. House has everything you need, managed well and available if you need them. I’d absolutely go back!

My husband and I spent the weekend enjoying trees, tranquility, and ocean air while staying in this lovely rental. The hosts were welcoming and communicative. The Shakespeare festival, downtown Santa Cruz, and Henry Cowell state park were the other ingredients in a fabulous getaway weekend.

We loved the atmosphere and surroundings of the trees and wildlife. We enjoyed watching the birds and saw owls. The house has everything you need. We want to come back and stay longer.

Wonderful place tucked away in the hills but close enough to get to things eaaily.
