This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

    RENTER BEWARE! The pictures do not accurately represent this property and we experienced the worst vacation stay at this rental.The air conditioning broke the first two and a half days were rented. During the hottest week of the year, no service could come until late Monday evening (the house temperature was 87 degrees). After stripping the beds to wash the sheets after 3 days in the heat, we discovered a mattress that was filthy. Worried that it could be rodent droppings (we were told it was dirt), we demanded a new mattress. This also couldn't get delivered until three days later since it was ordered online. We were fraught for days trying to determine if we should cancel the whole vacation. Family members that hadn't arrived scheduled time off work, flights were planned and one member was pregnant. We proceeded with the vacation informing everyone about the rental.Then the electrical outlets in the main bathroom stop working. Additional time was spent dealing with maintenance and an electrician that fixed the issue. (which ended up covering up one of the outlets). This property is not a direct rental from an owner. It is managed by Avantstay, an online management company. As they dealt with the owner about these issues, which were not small in nature (like a coffee pot not working ... which also occurred) we felt there was a lack of urgency ... which could have been coming from the owner. I would never rent this home.

    The pool and proximity to the beach were a huge plus. The property was clean and well stocked. The beds and linens were excellent. Overall all a great house!

    Great location and great layout for a long weekend getaway. The house is convenient to the beach, stores and local bar scene. The pool was fantastic for lounging and my dog loved running around the fenced in yard! We would definitely stay again when in IOP.

    Loved staying here! The backyard was amazing and made the stay super great. The house was beautiful inside and super clean. All of the rooms were very nice. I was a bit worried about the walk to the beach but it wasn't far at all, about 7 minutes. The grocery store is also close enough to walk to if needed. I recommend to put lights in the backyard or in the pool so it would be usable after dark. I would definitely stay here again. AvantStay also had great communication and offered us lots of great add-ons. I would definitely stay somewhere with their services.

    We stayed to visit family and to play golf. There were three of us and we had plenty room. Beds were comfortable and linens and towels were clean. The pool was big enough to swim and well maintained.

    This home absolutely met our high standards and expectations! We were so sad to have to leave. Blocks from the beach (rent a golf cart for even easier access). The pool was perfect, house was very clean. The neighborhood is so quiet, safe and very friendly. Will rent this home again in the future!!

    Our week at Sawyer was the perfect choice for our large family. The location was nettled in a quiet neighborhood with ample parking. Additionally, the home was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. We had an easy walk to the beach, grocery store, pickleball courts and local restaurants. The private backyard pool was an added bonus. We highly recommend to others!

    Negatives: There was a pretty major moisture/mildew smell that we noticed immediately upon entering the property. It's Coastal South Carolina, so this is to be expected, but it was unpleasant. A dehumidifier and some scent diffusers could go a long way. There were several bugs/spiders but again, this is to be expected at peak summer in a humid environment. Everything else was great. My kids loved the pool. We each had our own rooms and bathrooms. The living area was spacious and comfortable. We were able to do laundry, and host friends with no problem. The house is very conveniently located near the Connector so it's easy to get on and off the island quickly. It met our needs for sure. The rockers on the front porch and the floaties in the pool were a nice touch! Thanks for having us!
