Sandy Bottoms NEWLY RENOVATED 4 BEDROOMS!

The location is great and convenient to everything. The pool is very well kept and enjoyable. The house is laid out well. The bedrooms are a good size. The screen porch and extra sunporch room are really nice. The house was not completely cleaned and some of the furniture, etc. is in need of repair and/or a good cleaning. We were told that the 6 person golf cart may have some temporary issues, but it worked well for us. The 4 person cart, however was slow with a very dim light for driving at night and needs some tlc.

Bald Head is a great vacation spot. We had never stayed in this area on Bald Head before and it may be our favorite so far. Easy to get to south beach or east beach and minutes from the market and shopping. Kids loved it because they could easily ride bikes places. And bikes provided by owner were in great shape. Also loved the house. It’s not huge, but every space is used to maximize the room. Plenty of places to sleep. It was very helpful that the spices and condiments were left in fridge and pantry too. And, we were a little skeptical that the filtered fridge water could replace buying bottled water, but brought refillable bottles to try it out. And out of the filter the water did taste great so we never bought any bottled water during the trip. Great vacation and recommend this spot. Owners were very responsive and would definitely rent from them again.

We had another amazing visit to BHI and enjoyed out stay at this home. It was a perfect location- mid island - to the market- marina area or beaches. They had boogie boards for our girls to use, beach towels, etc.. Would definitely return here again for next summer.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sandy Bottoms. The home was stocked with everything we needed. The pantry had spices, oils, aluminum foil, and plastic wrap. My children enjoyed the bikes. We had a family of 6, so having two golf carts was nice. The location in the Maritime Forest is great for the shade and mid-island location. The Wifi worked well, so my husband and I could work when necessary. We bought a guest pass to the Bald Head Island Club, which we enjoyed more than we thought we would. The kids loved the water slides and splash pad and my husband and I enjoyed the exercise room. We will definitely return!

I told my husband several times that this was my favorite rental we’ve ever had, of anywhere we’ve gone! The owners have thought of everything you could need and it was so well stocked. Not having to bring any beach gear or toys made for easy packing, and they had all the baby gear I needed for our one year old. The newly renovated home was so beautiful and clean. The owner was so sweet and quick to respond to my one question! Highly recommend!

We had a great stay! The house was exactly as described and was plenty spacious for our family. Very kid friendly! My in laws loved their first visit to the island and are already planning a trip back.

We had the best time at Sandy Bottoms! The house was cozy but with plenty of room for 5 adults to all be comfortable! The front porch with the hammocks was such a great relaxing area and much time was spent there. The house location was perfect , not too far from the yacht basin with its shops and eateries and just minutes to the beach, the market and Jailhouse (breakfast/lunch/dinner spot)! Laura was the a very thoughtful host and responsive to our questions. Would highly recommend staying here to friends and family!

We had a wonderful week staying at Sandy Bottoms! It was our first time on the island and the house was a perfect size for our family and well situated with easy access to everything. Couldn’t have asked for more!

We loved our weeklong stay at Sandy Bottoms! From the first communication when booking the property 6 months ago, to emails and texts during our stay, owner Laura Riner, was very responsive and helpful, even forewarning us when dangerous riptides were forecast. There was a problem with the AC one day, and she reached out to us before we'd really figured out that the house wasn't cooling. The 'smart' thermostat had alerted her. She had HVAC technicians there within the hour and the system was up and running shortly thereafter. The house is charming and comfortable with a fully outfitted kitchen. Plus the pantry was loaded with staples likely left by previous renters. We never ran out of cooking oil, paper towels or popcorn! The Packn'Play crib, the highchair seat, and many kids' bikes, scooters, beach towels and sand toys were much appreciated and meant we had much less to lug over on the ferry. Another highlight was the community pool, mere feet from the house. We typically took the kids to the beach in the morning; then after their naps, we played in the very clean, well shaded and perfectly warmed pool until dinnertime. As an early riser, I loved making a cup of coffee and taking it out on the porch, watching the sun rise and listening to the birds chatter in the magical hour before time to make pancakes and wrangle babies into bathing suits! We hope to be back next year, it was absolutely glorious!
