San Francisco Modern Home with views of the Bay and outdoor terrace

This is a misadvertised and uncomfortable worn out rental. Not to mention unsafe and poorly managed. . We are mid process with VRBO to get some of our money back. We are also pursuing legal action against the owners due to massive legal and safety violations against us. The pictures and actual home did not match up and were not informed of this until we arrived for our stay....too late to make a new reservation elsewhere. The owners offered no compensation for the false advertisements...such as no grand piano when six photos showed a grand piano. The master bed and mattress was so awful that we had to place our heads at the foot of the bed to adjust for the broken frame and used mattress being so sloped downhill. All of the owners personal belongings were still in the closets and bathrooms etc. The owners had given the house codes to multiple people and had not approved this with us or even mentioned it to us. I found myself ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION.....in my bathroom with a complete stranger....male.....walking in on me while I was naked...and sick on the floor from chemo. Imagine how terrified I was? The owners have offered nothing in the way of compensation. The garage is shared with the owners sister and she and her son come and go as they please since they also live on the property. Thats right. Its a shared property. The doorbell to the house rings and rings for his sister and we had to answer it every time and go get her. It was so awful. The parking situation is not workable at all. The safety issues continued with the owner having an active surveillance camera plugged into the master bedroom wall....turned on facing the bed. It looked like a speaker so we didn't realize it was a recording device for five weeks. This is illegal in CA. The house was cold, noisy, used and clearly not a home anyone lives in. The owners manage six other homes so they dont care much about cozy or clean. The towels were ripped and gross. The pillows were so bad we bought new ones. One of the doors was broken and my husband finally fixed it after they refused to respond about it. Our privacy was violated in so many ways it was mind-blowing. We tried to have VRBO move us to a new rental but I was weeks into chemotherapy and could not manage the move. It was the worst overpriced unsafe and uncomfortable stay Ive ever had. I have never left a review before. Im just trying to spare you from a truly awful experience with these people and their run down unsafe home.
