It has one bedroom with a king bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed. There are love seats in each bedroom that turn into twin beds. The guest house has its own living room with a smart flat screen t.v., a kitchen, and renovated bathroom. This is the original farm house to the property and is very charming.

**Please note the guest house is not part of this rental unless rented separately.***
Also, the barn and back pasture is not part of the rental, not to be used by guests, and not calculated in the acres for use.** There are security cameras at the entrances of the main driveway, barn, back pasture, and about 1/2 way up the main driveway. For the protection of you and the property, at the front door of the main house there is a ring audio/video doorbell and the garage apartment door has a ring audio/video doorbell, and on the main house there is a ring floodlight camera as well that views the driveway and parking area. Gig is the best - it’s hard to capture the full beauty in pictures alone - just a gorgeous piece of property - almost 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. Beautiful cabin. Strategically located between Cashiers and Highlands.

A family heirloom!this best describes the experience staying at this lodge. The information on vrbo is accurate, no boasting or over advertising and yet omits how wonderful the entire set up is. Warm to the eyes and mind, comfortable and spacious for our crew.We very much enjoyed the lodge home & learning about its evolution to being the Family Gem on loan when you stay here.Communication with Gig was timely and clear, we will be back!!!

This house is special. Not only is it beautiful but the surrounding property makes this home magical. We had a wonderful stay. I have never traveled to a more stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed. There is enough space for the adults to relax and our teens to avoid us. We would go back in a second. Thanks for sharing your home.

Gig was a great host, easy to reach with questions and fast to respond. The house was perfect for winter holidays: rustic but elegant. Best equipped kitchen and dining areas we’ve had. Our week was too cold to enjoy morning coffee in the gazebo as well as the ample other outdoor areas, especially the fireplace on the deck. We just loved it.

Our entire family loved this place. We go to Cashiers every year and this is our new favorite spot. It is very convenient to both Cashiers and Highlands. Loved the peaceful and quiet setting, the wood burning fireplace, and especially the game room for the grandsons. We have already booked our return trip for next year…can’t wait!

Second trip to this incredible home. We will return again and again. We have a large family with young children, teenagers, parents, and grandparents. It was wonderful to sit at the big table and ear and visit and play cards...lots of board games to choose from. There is a huge field outside and the kids could run around and play. Rooms to retreat to when you need to have some quiet time. The host is super responsive---but I cannot imagine needing anything---it is all there. No regrest

One of the best VRBOs we've rented, and we've rented a lot. Rented for a wedding in Cashiers and it was a fine drive if you don't mind curvy roads (but if you're going to Cashiers, you're driving curvy roads). Plenty of space for 9 of us. The house was gorgeous both inside and out. We spent a lot of time on the porch and even had time for a few rounds of frisbee golf. Highly recommended!

Planned a 'surprise' 60th Birthday weekend for my wife.....friends and family convening from the SEast. Ice storm from previous few days hampered our ability to use the driveway. Gig was fantastic host as he got all of the guests to the cabin via the back pasture.Property was spacious and accommodating....with spectacular views. For a cold weekend, the indoor & outdoor 'wood-burning' fireplaces were well used. Gig's cabin is great for large (or small) groups....plenty of room for evryone!

I cannot say enough good things about this property and the whole experience. We returned with our family (ages 3 months-85 years) for Twixmas week, having enjoyed it so much in the same timeframe last year. The gathering spaces are conducive to conversation, naps, kids' play, and just gazing out on the 360 degree mountain views. There are plenty of spaces for personal retreat too. It's both cozy and expansive at the same time. The owner, Gig, is a dear dear man, ever responsive and kind. His long family history with the house personalizes every interaction. The house is a series of cabins and barns brought together lovingly by Gig's father over decades; it is an honor to be welcomed into such a shrine. Strongly recommend, any time of year. We hope to see it sometime in summer, when we can add porch sitting and outdoor dining to our pleasures. Truly a gem.

My family's stay at this property exceeded our expectations. The photos in the listing cannot do justice to the gorgeous mountain views that this property affords. Moreover, the large rustic home itself is charming and had plenty of space for our party of eight adults. I believe the property includes about 30 acres of land, so you really feel like you are away from everything. It's a joy just to stroll around the grounds and see the local wildlife. We chose this property to celebrate my parent's 60th wedding anniversary, and we could not have picked a better venue. My parents were thrilled. Our only big regret was that we could not stay longer to enjoy it. Wonderful location for a special family occasion. Highly recommend.

We rented this house for our three adult children and their families as we did not have room for them at our mountain home in Cashiers. It was the perfect spot for them with plenty of bedrooms and room to spread out. Everything was well organized in the home and very clean. The grounds are magnificent and a paradise for little ones to run around. Gig was a wonderful host and very communicative!
