Stayed Jun 19, 2021My husband and I brought our two littles (age 11 and 8) for a weekend escape. This property is absolutely beautiful!! The house, especially the kitchen and bathroom, are really dated, but we didn’t mind that at all. The biggest issue we had was with the linens. One of my littles and I are extremely sensitive to smell and have severe eczema. After only a few hours in bed both of us were miserable! The residual chemicals in the laundry soap had us both nauseous and breaking out in hives (background - both of us have stayed in numerous hotels, cabins, home rentals before and never had this happen). Both of us had to move to the couch with linens that we purchased. Having said that, the hosts were great! The A/C was having trouble so the day before we checked in, they installed 2 window units, which was more than enough to keep the whole house comfortable. Also, my littles loved, loved, loved the ping pong and foosball tables in the basement. If you’re considering this property, you should definitely book it (just pack your own linens if you or anyone in your group is sensitive to smell, or has eczema).

Stayed Jun 12, 2026We had a good time with family. Very close to Eureka Spring. Quiet. Relaxing. The host was great. Answered all questions. I will say This is not really suited to sleep six people. It is not a real futon but just a love seat that fold out into a 2inch thick mat that lays on the floor. We went to Walmart and bought a air up mattress for 2 of our guests. The only complaint I have is that to access the river you have to climb down a very steep 6ft embankment. The embankment goes straight down to the water and had very tall grass and weeds. It was not like the host described.

Stayed May 10, 2026What a great getaway house! Our daughter-in-law picked this home for our family vacation. Our requirements were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, pet friendly, and this home was so much more. We hung out back under the lovely shade tree most days we were at the house, and at the fire pit every evening. Thank you for such a great home away from home!

Stayed Apr 28, 2026We loved this old house! It was like staying at grandma’s! We enjoyed being able to walk down to the water and just the peace and quiet of it all. There is so much history displayed & it was a great relaxing get away. This is not a tech savvy fast living kind of place, but if you are looking for a quiet get away, it is perfect! We will return. Thanks for sharing your old family home with us!

Stayed Apr 6, 2026This home was so cozy, clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything their guests may need. It's in such a peaceful setting yet just minutes away from restaurants, shopping, gas, etc. Isaac was a very prompt host in communicating and answering a couple questions I had. My pups loved it too ! Would definitely recommend this great property.

Stayed Apr 3, 2026Photos don’t do this place justice. It felt like walking in to your grandmas house & just feeling the peace. They thought of everything in the house. Beautiful grounds with the river flowing behind it. Be sure & look around when you go down to the river we spotted a turkey in the field. Isaac was so easy to communicate with & I enjoyed getting to know his grandma more & the history of her homestead. We will be back when warmer to truly enjoy the river. The house is in the country yet super close to town. Thank you Isaac for sharing “Grandma’s house” with us, it was one of the most relaxing trips we have took.

Stayed Oct 1, 2025Pet friendly but there is no fence so must be leashed, host was friendly and accommodating. Absolutely loved that it felt so far from everything but it was close to everything. There was a doe that visited almost every morning and evening in the front yard and we also had a buck pay a visit. The outdoor seating area was fantastic with plenty of seating and a large fire pit that i enjoyed. There were several areas inside that were less than clean. The counter tops were not clean when i got there. There was a layer of dust on almost everything. There were knobs and fixtures that were dirty or sticky from grease in the kitchen. On the plus side, it is stocked with plenty of dishes, pots n pans, and towels and linens (love the towels set aside just for the creek), plenty of cleaning supplies, etc. Overall we enjoyed our time there. I don't recommend if you have a pet that can't be off leash.

Stayed Jul 25, 2025We had an amazing time staying a week here with our family of four and our dog. We went on many fun adventures in the area and enjoyed the backyard creek. The place was very clean with lots of charm. The house sits on a large acreage, which was very private and quiet. Would love to come back!

Stayed Jul 11, 2025Absolutely loved the Charming and very spacious country home! The beautiful acres added a whole new level of peacefulness, with a creek full of rocks (grandkids are rockhounds)that adjoined the Osage river was FANTASTIC!! The fish were small, but the frog catching was plentiful for grandkids. The kids also loved playing grandpa a few games of ping pong on the downstairs table as well as the vintage video games in the sun room.It was an added bonus for our very sm dogs, who loved running and swimming without having to be leashed & could accompany us to the daily river and creek fun, not to be left in a hotel room with 4 walls to stare at until we returned. The property was just 23 miles from Roaring River for some excellent trout fishing & close to other attractions like cave tours and charming small town shopping at some wonderful stores! WM is a 6 min drive & We never wanted for something to do!The doubled kitchen counters with huge amts of cabinet space made cooking for a large group easy. also, there was a k-cup & standard coffee maker, a plethora of spices, sugar, catsup, mustard etc: that prev vacationers passed on to the next.We loved our stay so much, after the kids left, my husband & I wanted to stay another day for some alone time, Isaac, was happy to oblige & made the process of booking an extra night hassle free!Look. This is an older farm house w rustic charm. There may b a dust bunny or 2 under bed, or a dresser drawer may have a loose handle, it was PERFECT!

Stayed Jun 27, 2025This was perfect for a weekend trip to visit a friend who is working in NWA over the summer. Close enough to feel like we could easily get anything we needed, but out of town enough for it to feel peaceful. The ping pong table especially got a lot of use out of us. Host expectations for cleanup on checkout were reasonable. Also the best equipped kitchen I’ve seen at a rental.

Stayed Jun 6, 2025When you first walk in, it will go into the kitchen and it feels like grandma is waiting for you. The home has been kept up, It has not been remodeled. We absolutely love this. The sturdy hardwood cabinets, the oversize leather chair, and sofa make you feel at home. The huge yard with the fire pit is absolutely amazing. There is a short trail and you will find yourself at the river. It is the home of 107 year-old Mary Epperson. You will find a couple of family pictures and a brief biography of Mary in the welcome book on the table by the door.If there’s something you needing, just keep opening cabinets and you’ll probably find it. Salt, pepper, sugar, coffee for both the regular coffee maker, and the Keurig, which are both provided, and a multitude of other spices. Everything to make your stay more comfortable.

Stayed Apr 18, 2025We (wife, me and our Bichon) stayed 4 nights in April and it rained 3 of the days we were there. When we arrived and opened the door I was immediately taken back in my mind to my grandmothers house. It smelled like the old girl still lived there. Sort of musty, dusty and old. A few broken windows here and there. Updated oven and stove top but everything else seems just the way Grandma left it. The house is large for a two bedroom. Light sleepers won't appreciate the extremely creaky floors if someone has to get up at night. Ongoing painting and repair projects were evident and the electrical outlets won't accept your three-prong plugs so bring an adapter. A basement ping pong and foosball table is advertised and usable if you don't mind playing in the dim light of two lamps. It is requested that you empty the basement de-humidifier when it is full, which when we were there was about every 3-4 hours. A small shower and toilet are also in the basement next to the washer and dryer but don't expect too much privacy. The creek was running high with all the rain and it's about 200 yards behind the house. Fishing and floating are advertised but at this time it was more like roaring rapids. We enjoyed the sound of the rushing water but only got to venture down there one day that wasn't rainy.I'll have to give Cleanliness a C as the floors were dirty and there was more than one pet hairball.

Stayed Mar 17, 2025Pros: Creek but not visible from house, must walk about 100 yds, house was secfluded, furniture comfy, foosball and ping pong in basement, plenty of linens, dishes, cookware, heat/ac worked well.Cons: Could have been much cleaner and linens and cookware needed to be organized, looked like things were just thrown in, only 1 bath in main area, half bath downstairs was very no frills.
