Retreat Cabin in Southern Illinois on Lakefront with an Outdoor Hot Tub

Great weekend getaway. Peaceful and quiet. Lake was gorgeous. House was clean and spacious. Already talking what weekend to come back.

This is a lovely property & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed & was very clean. The multi-layer deck with eating, lounging, & hot tub areas was awesome, and the dock is perfect - very roomy for both fishing & lounging so that the whole family could be together. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Awesome rental with a breathtaking view of the lake! Liked the proximity to Paducah, Kentucky. The house was very clean and the kitchen had everything needed to cook and serve meals.

The cabin is delightful. We loved sitting on the porch watching the many different birds. It is clean and well equipped. There is no WiFi and poor cell service. Which was not problem for us, but be aware.We would stay again

Everything was good as described on listing. Perfect place to relax to get away and recharge. The only thing that its needed mainly for safety reasons is WIFI..we knew ahead there was no internet but i think its needed to make phone calls in case of an emergency. Other than that Everything was perfect i still give it a 10 out 10 ...

We booked the cabin for a short weekend getaway and it was just what we were looking for. The property was clean and as described/pictured. We spent most of our time on the large back deck (our favorite part of the property) just enjoying the view and visiting. Close to Paducah if you want to do some shopping or hit some wineries. Over all perfect and would stay here again.

We turner the temp up because my wife likes it hot. We had everything we needed to prepare pur meals

This was our second time here. We love the house & property. The hosts are very welcoming, the house is in amazing condition, super clean and comfortable. It has everything we need for a nice relaxing weekend away!

As always had a great stay at the cozy cabin ! Even was better this year because they added WiFi ! So we can check emails and stuff while out in the woods and lake ! We’ve stayed here a few times and it never fails to impress .

This was perfect!! Very clean. Very comfortable. The dock and decks were in very good condition. With it being chilly, we just sat out on the swing overlooking the lake. Could not ask for a better 2 night get away.

We are a family that loves fishing and enjoying family time. It was a great place to stay.

Great property and location!

This home was exactly as listed. Very clean and peaceful. It was also very well stocked with supplies. Lots of extra blankets, pillows, towels and general household supplies. The kitchen had everything I needed and more to cook 3 meals a day for a week. It really felt like home. The lake and outdoors were amazing. I just kept looking out at the lake wishing I didn't have to leave.

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday here and it was relaxing. Our favorite part was the screened in porch where we spent most of our time looking out at the lake. However the furniture out there was just not very comfortable for folks our age. Would stay again but will bring our own lawn chairs.

My friend and I spent the most relaxing weekend here and fell in love with this place! Quiet location, beautiful views and a comfortable, clean home with everything we needed for our stay. We will be back!!

Nice cabin overlooking Hohman Lake.

We had such a beautiful time visiting this cabin. It was very quiet, clean, and had all kitchenware necessary to cook on site. We brought our pup on her very first cabin retreat with us and she floated around the lake! We woke up early every morning for the most peaceful and beautiful lake sunrises. We will definitely be returning.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin for our anniversary. The accomodations were wonderful-check-in was so easy and the house was nice and cool when we arrived-which was a relief in the 90 degree August heat! We enjoyed quiet mornings reading on the front porch and time spent fishing and swimming. Jerome and Rachel have a well stocked cabin and responded quickly to the couple of questions we had during our stay.

The property is very nice, lake is lovely. Quite a bit more rain this time but that is Mother Nature.

I’m a busy legal advocate with 5 kids (24-4). Needed to have a dad and daughter weekend with my college enrolled, almost full time working 21 year old daughter. Rachel and Jerome’s cabin was perfect, lots of time to talk, no work emails, scrolling or homework. The house is perfect and full of extra touches to feel more like a home than a cabin. The expansive back yard was great with the large screen porch, deck, hot tub and the lake access.The only negative, (that was not a negative for us) is there is no cell service and no WiFi. We were able to make phone calls though. For me, this is exactly what I wanted though!Tons of deer, very quiet, not far from several beautiful towns. Less than 2 hours from Nashville, we even golfed one day.Great long weekend! Thank you again to the owners for providing a great experience!Josh and Jenalee

Great proximity to Metropolis and Paducah but the benefits of a relaxing lake view. The screened in patio was SO comfortable. Well stocked home with hcomfortable furnishings. Everything you need for coffee too which I really appreciate.

My sisters & I were in Paducah for the quilt show & wanted a relaxing place to wind down after a few busy days of shopping. This cottage really fit the bill. Located on a beautiful lake in Brookport, IL, it was exactly what we were looking for. The beds were comfortable, the views were fabulous! The kitchen was equipped with all the right utensils, etc. if I am ever traveling in this part of the country again, I would definitely stay here again

It was a nice clean house with pretty views of the lake. My husband caught over a dozen fish. The weather wasn't great while we were there but it was still a good time.

We wanted a place away form WiFi , etc. It was perfect to connect as a family and play games, hike and watch movies.

Great lake view, comfortable bed, nicely furnished, friendly communication

We had a great time relaxing inside, in the hot tub and walking around the lake. It's a wonderful place to stay. Nearby we enjoyed food in Paducah, the great trails for MTBing and hiking in the Land Between the Lakes, and just had to waste time seeing the World's Tallest Superman. Good times for sure.

I almost don’t want to share how great this place is to keep it a secret for when I want to stay! Seriously though, couldn’t ask for a better place to get away. My last minute booking was accepted right away. All necessary information to check in was conveniently provided through the site. House was clean and comfortable. I forgot soap, and body wash was available! Hot tub was clean and enjoyable under the night sky. The swing by the lake was a nice touch. Dock is sturdy. Property is a great location. I am definitely booking again!

I rented this place for my father and his friend while I stayed at the cabin 75 yards up the hill. Everything across these two properties is top notch and highly recommended. Having two properties so close did help us all travel down and stay “together”. We met up every evening for dinner and a few drinks and then stumbled down the road back to our respective cabins. Jerome and Rachel have a gem here and you should check it out for yourself.

We came for a relaxing weekend and this place was perfect for that

This was perfect for us two childhood friends who wanted to catch up on each other’s lives. Quiet neighborhood so we were able to sit within the screened back porch or the deck and view the fall colors around the lake. The hot tub was a bonus. The kitchen was stocked with more than most VRBOs. Close to a couple towns for eating out. A bit of a drive from the main road but worth it. Definitely recommend!

The lake house has beautiful scenery, and the home is cozy and clean. The owners have been nothing but kind and helpful. I’ve spoken to Rachel when needed and she always replied right away, as much as one can with no wi-fi and very limited cellular service. This was our 2nd visit to the lake house and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for somewhere quiet, relaxing, and just needs to get away from the hustle and bustle of it all.

We were in Paducah for retriever master nationals- very nice location- quite- enjoyed sitting on porch every morning with my coffee listening and watching the geese come in - very peaceful!
