Quiet Lake Front Cabin!

This is a lovely lakeside cabin with a glorious porch overlooking a small lake. It was impeccably clean and welcoming with its guest book and hot tub. There was an eclectic collection of DVDs available to watch. The only glitch was that on our third and final night, a big security light was turned on nearby and spewed light onto our porch and into the house all night. Except for that light, it was an incredibly relaxing getaway.

I would have been completely satisfied except it was cold outside and we had a hard time keeping the cabin warm. We enjoyed the entire cabin otherwise.

Adorable little cabin! Quiet and peaceful lake, no loud party barges or music blaring...We came for the quilt show in Paducah and we ate at Paducah, Metropolis, and Brookport, all were a quick drive. We would definitely stay again if we come back to the quilt show.

The cabin was very peaceful with a beautiful view. I particularly liked how clean and fresh feeling it was. Will definitely be coming back!

The owner was always quick to respond. This was such a nice little getaway for my family! My son fished day and night and the kayaks were such a great addition to the stay! We utilized them daily!

Our week stay was pretty close to perfect.

What a gem of a spot! Serene lake views with sunrise and sunset colors. Kayaking across a lake like glass. Watching turtles pop up and herons fly across. A cozy cabin with a little hot tub to sit in while you relax and look at the view. There are great hikes near by. We highly recommend the Garden of the Gods observation trial and Ferne Clyffe.

Cozy little cabin with a beautiful location, very quiet and comfy. Some small issues with birdlife, several nests in ceiling of back porch with a lot of excrement around, but still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would come back!

Very nice and peacful

We enjoyed our short time at this peaceful cabin; we equated it to glamping and that was just fine for us. It is remote and secluded but not isolated. The cell service is spotty but not non-existent. The weather was a bit chilly so we didn't get to kayak but we did spend several evenings watching the sun go down on the dock. We also laid on the dock for some star gazing on a clear night. Saw some shooting stars and had fun guessing the constellations. It was so nice to hear the crickets, frogs, and owls sing.We did come across a few hiccups. I wanted to include these to give others a heads-up. When we wanted to grill dinner, no lighter was found on the property. (We reached out to the owners and got no response, not even the next day.) Thankfully, we had a spare lighter to help ignite the grill. We also did not know we needed to bring our own firewood; however we were surrounded by trees and were able to source some decently dry wood to make a bonfire. There was some lighter fluid provided that helped. Be sure to bring an old newspaper to start fire though. Gravel path to dock has seen better days. The unevenness made it tricky for us both. Helpful note: the grill is charcoal, not propane. The mattress is quite firm. Bring your own games and a book if the weather is inclement; Use your own password for streaming services. Portion of road leading to the property is gravel. Lastly, the coffee pot needs a good, deep, thorough cleaning. We were uncomfortable using it.

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The weather did not cooperate but I still utilized the hot tub on the covered deck and it was wonderful!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!!The Dahm’s

Nice quiet relaxing getaway. Not far from Metropolis or Paducah Kentucky. We will definitely go back in warmer weather i would love to be on the lake. Very clean and had everything we needed.
