Relax in the middle of nature!!!

Paulo and his wife were very friendly and helpful with questions. However, you have to know that it is the last house high up on the mountain. The journey there is therefore quite long. You have to plan your purchases well in advance. It is also important to know that fog can quickly creep up through the clouds on the mountain slopes of Madeira. Dreaming of sunshine is then in vain. Otherwise, the stay is recommended for people who simply prefer peace and quiet.

This is a lovely property. It is very quiet, away from the bustle of Funchal. If you want to party, this is not the property for you! The house was very clean. Everything was provided including a Kettle, toaster and washing machine. The property has its own private parking space. Be aware that this property is at the top of a very steep hill and a small dirt track section beyond that but when you get there, the views are amazing from the outdoor seating area. Paulo, the owner, is very friendly. Communication with him was very quick and easy. He made us feel very welcome. All in, we had a very good stay here and would definitely recommend.

We felt like home in this house.

We spent wonderful week in Madeira. The house was beautifully furnished, spacious and clean. There was little smell like dampness in the downstairs in wc and near kitchen cupboards and sink. Our hosts was friendly. In November we was there most of days the clouds was so down and the house was so high from sea level it was in a cloud. When the weather was clear the view from backyard to the sea was beautiful. After all we had a relaxing vacation in this house.

This is a charming rustic house in the mountains above Calheta with great views. There is a levada one minute walk away from the house which is at the top of a steep winding road on an unpaved road. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay with pleasant outside space containing loungers and two seating areas amongst lovely flora and fauna typical of Madeira.

An excellent well equipped property, fantastic views. The pictures are a little misleading- making the outside area seem bigger than it really is. The road up becomes a dirt track and the property isn't viable without a car- those are the down sides, but overall it is a fantastic place and I'd have no hesitation re-booking it were we to return to Madeira .

Located in small village near Calheta, the property is in height of village: very calm, no noise, sounds of rooster in the morning, wake up with view on the sea. House is perfectly equipped, everything needed is provided. Living room is big (we were only 2 adults) with 2 big couchs and chimney, reverse a/c. The 2 rooms have a view on the sea. There is a bench on terrace with sea view as well. Garden and house are done with lot of taste, we found them very beautiful. We had a welcome gift (Madeira wine and local cake and some fresh fruits). Small supermarket at 10 min with fresh bakery and restaurant. Local bar with excellent poncha (local cocktail) is next to it. Paulo and Hugo are easy to reach Thank you again Paulo and Hugo. We loved our stay

The house is the topmost house on this hill. You have to be courageous to really follow the road till the end (and beyond). But than you get a modern house with fireplace for the colder days. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much
