Stayed Jul 26, 2025The house is beautiful and worked wonderfully for our multi-generation family of 12. The yard is also great; we had games of kickball and wiffle-ball, as well as enjoying s'mores at the fire pit. I would recommend water shoes for swimming at the property because it is a little pebbly, but my 4 and 7 year olds were very happy swimming there. There is a nice dirt road loop that the older cousins could ride bikes on without any worry about cars. Any questions were very quickly answered by the owners and I would love to stay here again!

Stayed Aug 2, 2025Our family, ages 9-68, had a fabulous week, the house was as perfect as Caroline F. stated in her review, and it is a very and quiet setting. We brought a row boat and kayaks and spent our days lakeside swimming, boating and fishing. The Solo Firepit was a great place to relax in the evenings. Thank You to our host, Dawn...she's the best!

Stayed Jun 22, 2025We had a wonderful family gathering with ages 2 - 69. The house offered plenty of space for the group to be together and also get away for some quiet time. The little play room was a bonus plus having two family rooms was great. Folks who wanted some quiet could enjoy the downstairs area. The AC was a savior as we had a few days in the high 90s. The lake has a nice shared swim spot where the kids could play and adults could float around and relax. We brought a paddle board and kayak and a bunch of floaties. There is lovely morning shade by the water and it is a great place to watch the sunset. The rooms/beds were very comfortable and all was clean. The main bedroom was spacious and all the bedrooms were well appointed. The house is inviting and funtions well for a large group. There are multiple outdoor spaces for reading, eating, relaxing. The walk to the water is mostly flat and very easy. No scrambling over rocks to get to the water!Dawn was very responsive and we felt well taken care of! We hope to be back in 2025!

Stayed Dec 27, 2024There were a total of 10 of us on this trip. Six of us aged 16-52, and four children under 7. The layout of the family room, kitchen, and sunroom were perfect for hanging out, playing games, opening presents etc. Plenty of beds and space for all of us. The kitchenette in the lower level was a pleasant surprise. The house was well maintained and we were happy to find spices, salt & pepper, and an initial supply of soap, detergent, and paper products there for us. The tiny kids nook off the upper level was a huge hit. The only challenges we had: three of the showers didn't have a typical showerhead on them, which made it feel like getting washed by a hose; and the electronic thermostats turned down to 55 degrees at night which made it super cold. They could be manually adjusted, and there are several minisplits in the property to maintain temps, but that first night was BRISK during the Vermont winter. The lake is lovely - thye only drawbacks is that the area lacks grocery stores and there was only one full service restaurant in the area open. Other than that, we loved it. Would defintely rent again.

Stayed Aug 24, 2024I booked this house based primarily on its location (easy access to a lake/hikes); size (we needed lots of room for 10 people); and availability. This fit our requirements, and when we got there, exceeded our expectations. Our family loved everything about the home and property from its location in a quiet lakeside community to its décor and spaciousness and all the amenities inside or outside. The location is central to some nice hikes. Crystal Beach is just around the corner, literally. The best part of the house is the fact that you can walk a few hundred feet right to the lake. Beautiful. The biggest hit with the kids in our party, however, was small, cozy, playroom on the second floor of the house! That was such a sweet touch, and it made sure that there were activities the kids could enjoy both outside and inside. There was a fairly brand-new gas grill outside, which made most of our dinners (have to grill outdoors every chance we could get). We also took advantage of the beautifully arranged outdoor firepit. It was perfect to roast smores which our host so kindly provided to us as a welcome gift. This was such a great find, and I am so glad we booked this beautifully loved home. This was a perfect location to end our summer of 2024.

Stayed Aug 3, 2024Our family of 12 adults and 2 children thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Waters Edge. The house is beautifully decorated with many luxurious touches. The wine basket and a s’mores kit were tasty surprises. Four different methods to make coffee- Keurig, Nepresso, French Press and regular coffee machine. Separate temperature controls in each comfortable bedroom, a HUGE perk. Kitchens are well stocked with beautiful quality dining/cooking items for large families. Often vacation houses are stocked with tired cookware and dishes, not here! Dining seating is plentiful. In the evening, the living room was our central gathering place for board games, cards and just hanging out. The spacious grounds include a dock (We rented a boat, highly recommend), nice swimming area(good shallow entrance for the littles and due to lake bottom of some rocks, some of our party used water shoes) plenty of room for yard games and an awesome fire pit with chairs. The house has an amazing number of parking spots too. It easily fit our 7 cars and trailer with room for more! We enjoyed many local attractions; Wilson Castle, Crowley Cheese making, The Original Vermont Country Store, Killington, State park, Bomoseen Golf Club, Bomoseen diner, Lakehouse restaurant and Lake Bomoseen lodge. Highly recommend all! And don’t miss the maple creemees at Robo’s Creemees! Our host was very responsive to our questions. She’s just the best!! We hope to stay at this wonderful house again.

Stayed Jul 27, 2024House was very nice, with plenty of room for 14 people (8 adults, 6 children). Large common rooms for board games, etc, and large decks, fire pit area. Small swimming area by house, but nice beach a very short ride away. Lake water was very clear and we especially enjoyed the canoe that came with the property. Host Dawn was very responsive to our questions and needs.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Water’s Edge was a lovely stay for a (large) family vacation and birthday celebration. To celebrate my dad’s 60th we got as many of the siblings and nieces and nephews/grandkids together as we could. The house had plenty of room with multiple accommodating bedrooms, a large kitchen for cooking family-sized meals, and plenty of space for indoor or outdoor eating. The spacious living room saw many late night competitive card and board games and a few family movie nights. Dawn was very quick to communicate and I never had to worry about not getting a response or an answer to a question - whether ahead of our stay or during. The entire family had a great time. As I begin to search for our family vaca spot for 2025 I will definitely be looking for availability here again!
