Stroll to Shoals is perfectly located near the beach but tucked away in the forest at Sumner's Crescent in Cape Fear Station near the Conservancy, Captain Charlie’s, and the Shoals. Enjoy listening to the ocean waves and taking peaceful strolls to East Beach for sunrise and South Beach for sunset.

Situated among 300-year-old magnificent live oak trees, the house sits off the street and is very private yet close to the main community and park. Upon arrival, cross an inviting bridge-like boardwalk with a large deck area to access this home. Then settle in to relax on one of several decks or the screened porch and take in the natural beauty of the island.

An open living space, kitchen, dining area and half bath are located upstairs with lofted ceilings and expansive window views of the treetops. Enjoy coffee, cocktails or a good book on the upstairs deck while watching birds and listening to the sounds of the ocean.

A reverse floor plan with bedrooms on the first floor of the main house includes a primary bedroom suite with queen bed and full bath. The kid-friendly guest room offers two twin beds, a daybed with trundle and full bathroom with bathtub. Both bedrooms open onto a large screened porch and private outdoor seating area.

Adjacent to the main house is a comfy crofter with a queen bed, full bath, mini-fridge, coffee or tea station, and a balcony nestled in the trees.

The home has two 4-passenger golf carts. An outdoor shower and gas grill are located off of the large deck area between the main house and the crofter.

Temporary memberships for guests of this property are available for additional fees at Bald Head Island Club (with golf option) and/or Shoals Club. Both clubs require advance registration forms and fees for temporary membership. Inquire at time of booking for details about the club options, amenities, etc.

Two outdoor video cameras monitor the exterior of the home. Footage remains private and in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas.

We stayed at Stroll to Shoals for a long weekend and I had the luxury of staying in the private crofter. Tucked away among the trees, it felt like my own little retreat. The bed was super comfortable, I had my own bathroom and coffee maker. It even has a private deck. The rest of the house was great too—everything we needed for a comfortable stay in Cape Fear. Just minutes from East and South Beach. We’ll definitely be back!

First and foremost - we always LOVE staying at Stroll to Shoals. The location is perfect. It's so clean and such a great, quiet house. Truly a 5-star house in our opinion! Very comfy. Beds are awesome. Sheets are nice. Everything works well! We will definitely be back again!

What a wonderful beach house! Our family loved the secluded spot tucked into the trees yet so close to the Shoals Club and Mike’s Bites. This island is a magical place and it was a pleasure to spend two weeks enjoying all the activities and the ocean air in this home away from home.
