Quiet Retreat at the Heart of th Best of Inner SE Portland

The home was beautiful! Clean and very organized. Our host had all we needed in the home. Beds her comfortable. Backyard was a perfect oasis. We were very happy with our entire stay. Thank you to Laurie for all your help.

This VRBO was an excellent choice for our family gathering. It was very clean, comfortable, in a safe location, and offered an abundance of dishware, cookware, utensils, and storage containers. Overall, a great stay!

Beautiful property in a wonderful neighborhood in Portland. Great outside gardens and dining area under a magnificent giant tree. Lots of room for getting together with family from different parts of the country. House was very clean and had everything we needed, i.e., pots and pans, kitchen gadgets, coffee maker and grinder, electric teapot, pour over coffee, etc. Hosts Laurie and Matt were very helpful and friendly.

My stay at the property was delightful. The home was everything I hoped for. It has character and is located in a wonderful neighborhood. It has easy access to many restaurants and shops, as well as a short commute to downtown and major freeways. Laurie was a fantastic host and was very welcoming! I would definitely stay here again!

My sister and I came to Portland for our youngest sister's Memorial service. This has been a hard year. We decided to stay 8 days, spending 4 days visiting with family and 4 relaxing, walking, sightseeing and eating great food. This location was absolutely perfect! We walked to Jam on Hawthorne for a great breakfast and then walked to the Ladd Circle Rose Garden. We walked to Indian Oven for dinner. Grocery stores were close. We drove to downtown Portland which only took 15 to 20 min and went to the Saturday Market, Oregon Historic Museum, the Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant, to the riverfront for a luncheon cruise (best food of the trip) and to the Japanese Gardens. Location, location made our trip perfect. The house was comfortable. We enjoyed slow mornings and restful sleep. The beds and pillows were great. It was perfect for two sisters but would host a family as well. We didn't even use the upstairs. We rested and enjoyed Portland, thanks to this fabulous location. We highly recommend booking a stay. This

We stay here every year. We bring other family members to visit our adult children in the area. We love it. The house is perfect for our needs: clean, bright, spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. Laurie is lovely and helpful. There are improvements to the property every year, which means an already amazing stay keeps getting better. The location is convenient to great restaurants, shops, parks and walks. Use of the driveway and easy departures for day trips to vineyards, mountains, rivers, and the ocean make this a fantastic vacation spot.

This home is an excellent location for a Portland stay. The kitchen is well furnished for cooking, the second bathroom downstairs has a cozy wall heater, the beds and linens are clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the non-toxic toiletries and dish cleaning products. Communication with the host is effortless.
