Stayed May 2, 2024The Property is Very Good, I liked Everything, I only have one thing, the bed is in the Room with the Half Bathroom, the bed needs another Mattress because it is very bad, and the bed sounds a lot, and the Mattress The furniture in the living room would need a sponge mat, otherwise everything is very good, thank you very much.

Stayed Jun 7, 2026Our stay at the lake house was peaceful, and we appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided by the host, including s'mores supplies, toiletries, games, kayaks, and a small boat. The location was excellent, conveniently situated between the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. However, we felt the property was more dated than the listing photos suggested. The deck leading to the lake had several repaired areas and felt unstable in places, and the railing leading down to the water was quite wobbly. Guests with mobility concerns may find access challenging. The outdoor lighting created a beautiful atmosphere at night, but there were significant spiders and cobwebs around the decks and exterior areas. The brush surrounding the home was also overgrown near the bedroom windows.Inside, we noticed cosmetic touch-ups in several rooms and painter's tape remaining on the master bedroom floor. The guest half bath was unusual, with a toilet separated by a curtain and no traditional sink, while the second bedroom lacked a mirror, which may be inconvenient for larger groups. We also heard scratching noises beneath the house. Additionally, a neighboring dog got loose and approached my husband aggressively before the owner retrieved it.Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful setting, lake access, and thoughtful amenities. While the property has potential, it would benefit from updates and maintenance to better match the listing photos.

Stayed Apr 16, 2026We stayed comfortably here and utilized the property and all the amenities! The home is older and some improvements could be made, but I would go back again tomorrow if I could. The owners have put some thought into creating a space for people to be able to get away. We especially enjoyed getting on the water with our kids in the boat and kayaks. There is a gas grill and fire pit with s'more fixings. Several different yard games and a dart board. Full kitchen with everything we needed, we cooked for ourselve the whole time we were there. Laundry room and a separate room where kids or grown ups can sit and read books or play a game. AC and heat. There's plenty of space for a family to enjoy time together on the lake listening to the birds. Easy drive to The Ark Encounter, and about 25 minutes to the Creation Museum, the zoo and the aquarium. We also drove to Dayton and walked through the Aviation Museum. Kids are asking when we're going to go back to Kentucky.

Stayed May 1, 2026Nice property overall. Not many check out instructions which I appreciated. The property photos make the place look a lot nicer than what you see when you get there. The grass was not cut and vegetation was somewhat overgrown. From the photos, it looks like the property has lots of lake bank space to fish but in reality the only place to fish is from the dock- which also could use some maintenance and upkeep. Overall a nice place for a short get away. I would stay here again.

Stayed Apr 7, 2026The host was very nice allowing us to check in early. We drive up from central Ga and not sure of distance and time. We needed additional bath towels only 6 were in the house. I washed and dried them when we needed them. Master bed was really uncomfortable, my husband moved to the sofa. The sofa bed was perfect for our two grandsons. The playroom was and the kids took advantage of that. The location was perfect for the creation museum and Ark encounter. The fixings were a great idea but we didn’t have firewood so they ate graham crackers and chocolate.

Stayed Mar 26, 2026The house was perfect for what we needed. It was very clean inside and had a lot of extras available - tons of games, fishing poles, etc. The only minor drawback for us was the set of stone steps leading up to the house that are a little difficult for someone with mobility issues but we were able to navigate. Hope to be back in the future!

Stayed Apr 1, 2026We had a great time on the lake and loved the views and peacefulness of the area! There was plenty of games and things for the kids to do (we were afraid we would have more rain and be locked indoors) when unable to get outside. The host was very responsive and clear with information. Thank you for such a beautifully wonderful place to stay!

Stayed Dec 29, 2025The pictures of this property were nothing like the property in person outside. There was a dark cement cellar area that is very eerie. The day we arrived there was no way to get into the property, the owner forgot to tell us how to get in. The thermostat would not go above 60 degrees to heat. There had been a small “living room” area added on but not any vents for heat so that space was freezing cold and we were staying here during Dec/Jan 2025/26 in Kentucky when it was 19/22 degrees. The owner did bring us heaters to use but by this time- there had been too many things that weren’t as described. The living room tv didn’t work. It was a smart tv but there were no instructions on how to use it. It didn’t have a way to watch live tv or any apps or add any apps. The property said it had 1 bathrooms … the 2nd was only a toilet with a sink on the back of the toilet that the cold water ran in it when the toilet was flushed!!

Stayed Aug 31, 2025We really loved the location and the scenery. It was beautiful. If you have small dogs, be aware there is a very large pitbull type dog that lives next door. Owner was very polite and advised the dog was just curious of our small dogs, but we still kept a close eye on ours when we took them out for walks. We took the boat out a couple of times and really got to see the beauty of the area. If you like to fish, the neighbors were catching catfish and bluegill like crazy!! Right off the dock! Our favorite breakfast place was Beans- I’d highly recommend it. We had a very peaceful and relaxing 20 year anniversary here.

Stayed Jul 23, 2025Fantastic home for families! So many thoughtful amenities. Even though it was the hottest week in KY, the house stayed nice and cool. There are some steep stairs to the house to be mindful of. One of the cleanest homes we've ever booked! The beds were very comfortable with the king bed being memory foam. The shower had great pressure. The kitchen was fully functional and there was even a counter top ice maker! The lake is beautiful and the available fishing gear was in great shape. Perfectly situated between the Ark and Creation Museum. Lots of indoor/outdoor games provided to keep everyone engaged. Verona Angilos was delicious for pizza and fried seafood. Greg was responsive and kind. Highly recommend to any group looking to visit the area.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We had family from GA and MI meeting at the cottage to go to the encounter the next day. It was only 17 minutes from the Ark Encounter. We enjoined the fire pit and dart board on the back deck. Some of us took the little boat out for a trip around the lake with the fall colors. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our two meals and breakfasts we made. We had plenty of space to sleep for our group of 7. The owner was quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.
