Stayed Jul 7, 2022We have stayed at many VRBO properties through the years and this was among the best! The house suited our families needs very well. Had enough TVs for everyone to not be forced to watch something they didnt like. Enough space for us to be together and spread out too. Great selection of games. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking equipment. The back porch is beautiful in the ams and evenings and we spent a lot of time out there. The house was super clean. Our boys loved the house and were sad to leave. In the master bath they had the best hairdryer to use! It was so nice I bought one of my own from Amazon before we left the house. :) Brett and his wife were easy to communicate with and very workable. They responded quickly to us if we needed them and were very good about communicating with us even before our stay. They had fresh flowers and yummy doughnuts for us when we arrived. It was close to the Ark which was nice since we went back to that a couple of times. The lake is quite and peaceful. It was wonderful that they had a paddle boat and kayaks for us to use. We spent two days just doing that. Kentucky is full of rolling hills as you know so just a FYI about getting to and from the lake. You have to walk down a hill to get to it and back up to get back to the house! So if you have any major physical limitations that would be something to consider if getting to the lake was a priority for you. I needed the exercise so I didn't mind! If we get the chance to go back to the area we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Stayed Jun 24, 2022The house and lake atmosphere are as beautiful as the pictures show, great rental for a family. Brett was very helpful with local information, even left us some worms for fishing which was thoughtful. He was also extremely accommodating regarding our check-in and check-out times, initially we were uncertain of our arrival time, thanks Brett ! Plenty of activities right there at the house -- pool table, darts, swimming, fishing, kayaks, big screens everywhere, great kitchen area; everything in like-new condition. It was a perfect location for our Ark and Creative Museum trips too. Also has a state of the art smart-house/security system, with multiple cameras inside and out, but the inside cameras are removed during your stay. No doubt it's a great house, we had a perfect time, on the expensive side but every bit as nice as advertised !

Stayed May 25, 2022Beautiful vacation rental with gorgeous views, peace, privacy, lots of amenities and easy check in. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. We spent the first 3 days of our stay visiting the Creation Museum, The Ark Encounter and The Kentucky Horse Park. Our last day was spent enjoying the fun amenities the home offered. We fished for sunfish and small mouth bass, we kayaked, we played pool & darts, our kids explored the tree house and we ended the day relaxing in the hot tub. It was truly a fantastic vacation. If you’re looking for a serene, picturesque vacation rental near The Ark Encounter, this is it!

Stayed Oct 7, 2021Our family had the most wonderful time staying at this incredibly beautiful lake house! Everything is even more amazing in person than you see in the pictures! This house is super clean and quite spacious, yet it has a very warm cozy vibe. The views from inside and out are truly spectacular! We really enjoyed having our morning coffee out on the upper deck while watching the sunrise over the lake. I overheard my husband on the phone telling his business friend that he could actually feel his blood pressure lower! Our boys enjoyed fishing off the dock and one of them even caught a fish which was super exciting! There are kayaks, a paddle boat, a super cool tree house, a fire pit, jacuzzi, pool table and dart set, all of which added to the amazing amenities this place offers! And last but not least, Brett and Samantha were the most incredible hosts! They both truly went above and beyond to help us prepare for our trip to Kentucky. They were super accommodating before our arrival and during our stay. The check in and check out process were so easy. Every aspect from start to finish was super smooth and staying here made our vacation truly perfect! If you are planning to visit Kentucky, I highly recommend booking this home as you will not be disappointed! PS This lake house feels completely secluded in the country, yet it is quick to get to local stores, only 15 min. from the ark encounter, 35 min from the creation museum and 25 min. from big bone lick historical state park….all of which are definitely worth visiting!
