Stayed Aug 26, 2024The house is great. They could have given more info regarding the property like where things are we had to hunt around for the life jackets, and little things could have been better like there were dishes left in dishwasher and towels left in the dryer. The stove and grills were not clean, but that aside it was a comfortable, peaceful, lovely house. There is no air conditioning but we didn’t need it as the weather wasn't hot. The lake was nice for kayaking and just an fyi not a swimming lake. Overall a nice place.

Stayed Feb 11, 2026The place was clean for the most part when we arrived. There was no hot water and required me to contact the Property manager to locate the hot water heater and turn on unit. There were also dirty dishes in the dish washer upon arrival. The primary access to the basement lower level bedrooms has a very unsafe railing that requires replacement. Our primary purpose of the trrip was to snowmobile. i was told be the property Manager that the Cabin was directly off trail #7 DNR snowmobile trail. This is not true. It is 8 miles from said trail #7 down a plowed county road 440. If your plan is to snowmobile and not trailer from this location this cabin location is not it. Be sure to investigate actual GPS coordinates provided in Body of VRBO listing. Google Maps, Ways, Apple Maps does not even get you close to the Cabin.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025Where do I even start! The house is perfect, the location is peaceful and close to everything we love in the UP. My son fished in the lake and caught his first pike and now has a harrowing story to tell his friends, it really was a battle! We kayaked and enjoyed the stillness only the UP has to offer. Several trips to the Midway store gave us awesome opportunities for ice cream and meeting so many wonderful people! We loved every minute here, the house is equipped with everything we need for great meals. Our dog even had an amazing time lounging on the patio. Can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Stayed Sep 6, 2025We truly enjoyed our time at the cabin. It’s situated in Hiawatha National Forest, by the lake,- great place to relax and recharge. Cabin was just as described: beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped with everything needed for a longer stay. It even had two kayaks available.Host was easily reached and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Stayed Aug 19, 2025We loved our stay! Everything was so clean and comfortable. Exactly as listed and more beautiful in person. If you are not used to well water, plan to bring your own. Kitchen was very well stocked and had spices and extra things I needed to make dinners. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 13, 2025Had a great time at this cabin with our three boys. They loved the kayaks and caught lots of little fish. Super private and serene little spot and close to lots to do (Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi, Lake Michigan/Superior). The lake is very muddy and weedy though, so not good for swimming. Plan on getting groceries well before you arrive, there are only smaller markets nearby. GPS may tell you to turn on dirt roads - don't do it! Those are for ATVs only. Also, download offline maps before you arrive. There is very minimal cell coverage. Communication from the host was very minimal, but we had everything we needed. Could have used more info about the property - where the laundry room is hidden (in the last bedroom), where to find coffee supplies (in the lazy Susan), where to find bedding for the click clack futon (in the first bedroom dresser). Once we got our bearings, we had an amazing time though!!

Stayed Aug 9, 2025Check-in was smooth and accurate according to instructions. The photos of the property are spot on. It was clean, comfortable, and up to date. The view and tranquility of the property are perfect. It's a very remote location, and the quiet makes this property a true getaway. We used the charcoal grill, kayaks, and the fire pit. We visited Pictured Rocks and Marquette during our stay. Both locations are a bit of a drive from the property, but the remote quiet was what we were searching for, and this house did not disappoint! Coffee on the deck in the morning is serene, and the view is spectacular. If I had to make one request for our next stay, it would be to upgrade the futon. It's probably ok for a small child to sleep on, but not for an adult. The other beds, king and queen, are very comfortable. All in all, a fantastic stay!!!

Stayed Jul 2, 2025We had a wonderful weekend getaway! The house was beautiful — very spacious, clean, and well-kept. It had everything we needed, and the peaceful surroundings made for a relaxing stay. The lake view was stunning, though just a heads-up for future guests: it’s not swimmable. As expected for the season, it was pretty buggy outside, so bring bug spray. The only downsides were a mildew smell in the basement and a sulfur-like smell with a yellow tint in the tap water, which we worked around by using bottled water.Overall, we had a great time and would definitely consider staying again!

Stayed Jul 6, 2025We enjoyed our stay at the house. We had plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake. The mattress topper in the main bedroom is a bit too soft. Also, the nearest grocery store is 30 min away so plan accordingly.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024Had no trouble finding this lovely place on the lake. Overall enjoyed our stay, however: House needed a deep cleaning. Beds were uncomfortable. Foam mattress toppers were too hot. Sheets and blankets didn’t fit the king bed. Both bedrooms/1 bathroom are downstairs, and dehumidifier needed emptying several times a day. Refrigerator water dispenser incredibly slow. Window screens needed cleaning. Outdoor grills very dirty and in disrepair. Stairway handrails not secure. Three light bulbs in living/dining room were burnt out.

Stayed Oct 2, 2024Location very hard to find. Impossible with Google maps. It’s about 30 miles to Munising from the cabin. No toiletries such as body wash or shampoo provided. Spotty cell service. Unable to login to home internet. Both bedrooms are downstairs and one bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. I do not recommend if you have trouble with stairs. It was on a small lake which was nice. Cabin was clean.

Stayed Aug 23, 2024This property was nothing short of awesome! It’s very secluded and private. The owners were willing to work with us on early check in and were very responsive. It is about 45 mins to any kind of bigger town but was overall worth it!

Stayed Jul 21, 2024Our family enjoyed the beautiful backyard view, dock and kayaks. We grilled several nights and also cooked smores over the fire pit. It was a nice, fairly quiet place to unwind. We had zero cell service for miles (Verizon) so it was nice to have Wi-Fi. Cons: You will not have signal for GPS. The pin on the VRBO listing was wrong. It was 8.1 miles further down the road than what the listing/map showed (we printed it off before travel). We had to stop at a random house and ask for help as we had zero cell service. The communication with the property manager went well and we eventually found the property but they mentioned that they've had problems in the past with people locating the house. We drove 10 hours and this was extremely frustrating after travel. Please update your listing to reflect accurate location/address/pin for GPS. With it being 8.1 miles down the road it took an additional 15 minutes one way to all of our activities. We spent more time driving to and from the house than we anticipated. The beds were not comfortable (all located downstairs in the basement) and the basement had a musty/damp smell even with all of the portable fans running. The ceiling fan upstairs was off-balanced and we were afraid to use it. Upstairs became very hot during the day (July). The refrigerator was leaking and there was a note to keep a towel under the fridge for a water leak. Overall, we felt the location was deceiving and price point was high.

Stayed Jul 26, 2024The cottage was very cute and in a very relaxing setting. We liked the peaceful feel. It was 9mi further away from Munising than we expected from the VRBO map which shows the place closer to hwy 13. It was a 40min drive to town. We also think the basement bedrooms smelled very musty and saw some signs of mold on the art decor.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024We stayed for 2 nights with another couple. The house is located in a heavily wooded area in the Hiawatha National Forest so it is quiet, secluded and on a beautiful small lake. It has a well stocked kitchen and a very comfortable living area and dining room that looks out over the lake. The couple we were with are already thinking about renting the house again.
