Your health and safety comes first to us! We are using products approved by the CDC to eradicate any lingering germs, bacteria, and viruses. We are taking extra precautions by ensuring all commonly touched surfaces are wiped down completely. The linens, towels, bed sheets, etc. are washed per manufacturers guidelines. We are also stocking our home with essential disinfectants and supplies to help you follow the CDC’s guidelines. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and hosting your stay.

This home is located on the North Olympic Peninsula, midway between the two towns of Port Angeles and Sequim. Nestled along the bluffs overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Hunters' Gate Farm sits along the west side of the mouth of McDonnell Creek. Hunters' Gate Farm Guesthouse offers relaxation with privacy and intimacy. The entire property and grounds are at your disposal. There are several wooded trails that lead to waterfront look-outs where you will want to sit and reflect on the natural surroundings, the native plants, the birds, wildlife, passing ships, the sunsets or the peace and quiet of the property itself. You will enjoy a sumptuous night's sleep as you listen to the waves and enjoy the high end mattresses and luxurious, hand ironed, high thread count linens. Contemporary finishes, high end appliances, and comfortable decor, surrounded by nature.

Our newly constructed Guesthouse was the family home for 33 years before it was mostly destroyed by fire in 2012. The original foundation and outer cement walls are concrete block. Now, within those familiar walls we feel a sense of tradition and timelessness. Reconstruction completed in 2019 which was a lengthy effort but well worth the work and wait to save a much loved home.

The outdoor features include nature trails, lawns and patios, BBQ gas grill, and picnic table. There are gardens, orchards, fields, and grassy areas all within the water view. Our flock of laying hens reside in the barn with the peacocks, and are fun to view from the outside. There is an outside greenhouse and a sunroom for sitting surrounded by indoor plants.

You will enjoy our private beach trail which is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles. We are only a 10 minute bike ride to the Olympic Discovery Trail, which you can get to using our bicycles provided for guests.

The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.

There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.

The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Hunters' Gate Farm Guesthouse.

This farmhouse on the bluff was beyond what we could have imagined. A serene and beautiful space and experience. The love put into this abode is clear from the peaceful tea room to the wonderful trail down to the lagoon and beach. We will be returning with our grown kids next year.

This is a truly spectacular place to stay. There is a herd of deer living on the property. There are chickens and peacocks which my children loved to watch. The house is full of light and had everything we needed during our stay. The property manager was very responsive and kind. The nature trails and private beach made the whole experience feel like we were staying in a nature sanctuary.

The kitchen was stunning because it had windows all around, and you could see the deer grazing in the yard. A kitchen was well set up. It was very quiet and a nice stroll through the apple Orchard to the coast for a view of the street was icing on the cake.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The beds were comfortable. We loved looking out the kitchen windows at the sunset, fog and mountains. The beauty of the ocean, the grounds, the mountains, the deer families exceeded our expectations- just magical. We picked a few apples from the orchard, visited the chickens and peacocks, walked on the trails and breathed the fresh air. We would love to return here someday. Thank you for sharing your amazing property with us!!

We had such an enjoyable time here at the Hunters Gate Guest House! The house is immaculately clean with comfortable beds and furniture. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you may need to prepare meals. The little art treasures throughout the house are interesting to ponder! We loved the spaciousness and solitude of this property—the nature walk paths, seeing deer families every day, watching the morning fog and mist roll in from the sea, visiting the hens and peacocks to say hello, viewing a bald eagle on his (her?) perch, and enjoying the whiffs of lavender from the garden. The property (home and land) is well-maintained and well-care for.Our host Marjory was gracious and responsive. We had a chance to chat and enjoyed learning more about the property and the house. I would highly recommend this well-appointed home for a relaxing stay in a beautifully natural environment.

A comfortable, well-appointed house in a quiet, serene setting - it was exactly what we wanted! We especially enjoyed the wildlife, including eagles and bats, but especially the deer who came right into the front yard while we sat and watched from only a few feet away. The enchanting path down to the private beach was beautiful as well. And Marjory was a kind and accommodating host. Thank you!

Hunter's Gate Farm is beautiful and peaceful. Our house was very clean, comfortable, beautiful and well-maintained. The kitchen was well equipped. Margie responded quickly to our needs. The only thing that was less than expected was that the beach was so very small. If the tide was in there was no where to walk. The water isn't visible from the house. I think those things should have been more apparent in the ad. I still think it is a great place to stay, it just isn't quite as represented.

We loved walks on the nature trails to see the water and bald eagles! We will absolutely love to come back here again.

The beds were comfortable and the interior very clean with interesting asian decor. Our granddaughter loved the chicken coup. The path to the ocean was rugged but doable. The ocean overlook was beautiful. The family of deer that apparently lived on the farm were very entertaining. We wouldn't hestitate to stay there again!

We had an excellent time staying at your guest house. The house and property exceeded our expectations! We love all the special touches that made our stay feel like home. Our first day we were greeted by a family of deer that continued every day and warmed our hearts. We also spotted an eagle in a tree out by the edge of the bluff, very cool! We spent most of our days in Olympic National Park, hiking and exploring. It was nice to come back after a long day of hiking to a home with a full kitchen, great showers, great beds, large screen TV and a large comfy couch to watch our favorite shows. We highly recommend this wonderful home to others who come to the see the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula.

We enjoyed our stay in the guest house, it is a very beautiful property. We didn't get a chance to visit the lagoon or private beach as it was quite a further distance than expected but we walked several trails with some overlooks with stunning views. The owners live next door and were active on the property around the guest house throughout our stay- very pleasant friendly people. Overall great stay even though it wasn't exactly what we were expecting!
