The accommodations are comfortable with all the amenities necessary. The view is incredible! We enjoyed the patio and all the places to relax outdoors. Again, all while looking out to the water & downtown Port Angeles. Very convenient to the ferry, restaurants, & businesses. We especially loved the Country Aire Natural Foods grocery at the bottom of the zig zag walkway. Oh, and the resident dog Winnie is very sweet!

It was a treat to drink my morning coffee and look out over the water. The apartment has everything you need, and the hosts are very helpful. Highly recommend.

We had an exceptional stay at Chez Zig Zag. The home is beautiful and the setting is spectacular. There are beautiful views of the water from the living and dining areas and such lovely areas to sit outside such as the gardens, swings, fireplace area and dome. The home sits high on the bluff next to the Zig Zag trail which takes you down into town. It is close to so many restaurants and to the ferry station. The proximity to Olympic National Park was wonderful and we used it as a home base to travel to Hurricane Ridge, Crescent Lake and other areas. It was easy to take a day trip to Victoria B.C on the Ferry. Brent and Amy are wonderful hosts. The place is immaculate and stocked with everything you need. It was a pleasure to stay in this home and I highly recommend it.

The mountain and water views were spectacular! The hosts were also fantastic! Super-friendly, very respectful of our privacy but most definitely available for questions and suggestions for things to do. Also, every room had so much thought put into it that whenever we looked for something, we found it right where we would have put it. It really is a very well-thought out design. All this and the price was very reasonable. We are most definitely going to return there!

Loved staying at Chez ZigZag! It was such a beautiful property. Amy & Brent were perfect hosts. The apartment was even better than the pictures. We loved the location for walkable access to downtown via the zigzag path. We shopped at the market at the bottom of the path and ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant recommended by our hosts. It was a great location to access Olympic National Park as well. Such a cozy place and the front and back yard were so inviting. We made a fire in the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed the night view of the port. Amazing stay and we hope to return!

I think this is our fifth time to stay at Chez Zigzag, starting in 2013 and we love the hospitality of the owners, the views from the rooms (including from the shower), the convenience of the location and the furnishings including some nice artwork and interesting other pieces. They keep adding to and improving the property and it is certainly one of the best places to stay in Port Angeles. Also recommend the Country Aire grocery store very near by.

Chez ZigZag is gorgeous! The views are fantastic. We walked down the zigzag stairs to downtown- a grocery store is right at the bottom of the steps and the ferry to Victoria is an easy 10 minute walk. If you put “James View Point” into your phone you’ll have no problem finding this place. High end everything- they have a clear geodesic dome in their yard/garden as an extra living room. Chez Zig Zag is just as lovely as it looks in the photos, and we had a wonderful stay. The highlights:- Beautifully soft sheets (I'm kicking myself for not checking the tag to see where they were from).- The most functionally-equipped kitchen I've seen in a vacation rental.- Gorgeous natural light - we barely used the lights in the bathroom and didn't even notice the light switches for the kitchen until right before we left.- Radiant-heated flooring in the bathroom.- The thoughtfully-curated book of recommendations from Amy and Brent. The only downside for us was that the bedroom with the blue floral curtains was susceptible to a belltower somewhere nearby chiming the hours overnight, and to early sunlight through the gaps in the curtains on the east-facing window. The sound issue was easily solved by deploying the white-noise setting on an iPhone overnight, and the sunlight is just a seasonal thing to be aware of (sunrise isn't always at 5:30am!).We would definitely pick the same spot again, it was a wonderful home base for a few days.
