Stayed Oct 31, 2025We had a tremendous stay at Jo’s Lake Bowen Retreat. Jo was very responsive to all the questions we had during our visit.The house truly has everything required for an enjoyable and relaxing time. The view and outside areas, including the dock, were a wonderful bonus for us, especially for the fishing enjoyment of our three grandchildren.We used the house as a base for my granddaughter's state band competition—which they won! We will definitely be looking to rent again in the future.

Stayed Aug 16, 2024I thought this house was so perfect for a weekend stay at the lake. I especially enjoyed the kitchen which was well-equipped for cooking. The outdoor screened - in porch was another area that our family really loved. The upstairs children's bedroom with 4 twins and 4 trundle beds was also a nice spot to allow the children to play away from but within earshot of adult supervision! Our grandkids enjoyed swimming off the dock and along the bank of the lake. So thankful for a wonderful weekend!

Stayed Jun 12, 2024Great, clean house with perfect amount of space! Stayed here for a long weekend softball tournament in Spartanburg. All Moms and daughters. House was very clean! Our socks were clean after walking around for an entire day. Loft room was great for the girls and all the bedrooms were great for the moms. Also, plenty of bathrooms! And the screened in porch was perfection! We did cook dinners every night. The electric stove was not my favorite, but that’s just a personal preference. Highly recommend a stay here. Especially if you are turning a trip to Tyler River Park into a mini vacation!
