SUPER clean, amazing views, and well-appointed. Perfect location!

This is a stunning property with classic California / Big Sur design and appointments. We stayed for two nights. My wife and I were in the primary (huge), kids in the second bedroom in the main house, my mom (70s) in the guest house, and our au pair stayed in the separate room below the primary. We had plenty of room, the deck is huge, and the small pool and hot tub were perfect for cooling off and kids. The views were every bit as good as what’s in the listing and it was nice that Nepenthe, the Henry Miller Library, and Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn / Restaurant were just down the road (you overlook Nepenthe, next spur over). We highly recommend Deetjen’s for breakfast! The hosts are outstanding and quite professional, very responsive. When I think of Big Sur, I think of this kind of place…that’s why we stayed here and why we’ll come back. Sure, there are the ultra modern, giant glass boxes up and down the coastline, and maybe that’s what your family / group needs. But……if you are looking for real character and want the Big Sur style, want a pool and hot tub, and are looking for a place with a setup that offers separate quarters for additional guests (think multi-generational families), this place is perfect.We’ll be back soon!

Beautiful house with incredible views.

Amazing property! Whales breaching, condors circling, fox, bobcats. We saw it all. It was hard to leave. If it ever goes up for sale I’d be interested!

Easy access and plenty parking. Outside living area perfect for good weather, the view is outstanding! Property is ideal for adults.Host requires additional contract to review, sign and return. Issues raised to host were responded to quickly.Very poor cell and WiFi connectivity.

Our family of 4 got together here to celebrate our sons birthday. This was a perfect spot so convenient to everything from restaurants and hiking spots. You really don't need to leave the house its so perfect. Hope we can return again soon!

This house is exactly what you think you are getting - epic views, massive deck, and Big Sur charm. We celebrated a milestone birthday and the house was the perfect getaway. Be sure to enjoy the stars at night as they light up the sky unlike anywhere else in Cali.The rooms are large and well appointed. The pictures don't do it justice. The homeowner provides special flashlights at the front door so it is easy to get around in the evening, especially when going from the house to your car or the guesthouse. We cooked in one night and the kitchen has everything you need. The only suggestion I made to the homeowner was to replace the teflon pans (they had wear and tear) most likely because guests were putting them in the dishwasher. The coffee setup is impressive with a home espresso machine, a moccamaster and French press options. We would book this home again. It is quiet and private. The homeowner was delightful to work with and we felt like it was worth every penny.

If you love Big Sur, you'll love this property. Our second time there, (just this year), and it won't be out last.

Our stay was wonderful. The views are spectacular and the house is well appointed. Lots of options for seating and congregating. Pool was great on hot afternoons. Only one person used the hot tub. I would say anyone with mobility issues should give consideration to the changes in footing around different spaces on property. I probably won’t be back to this area soon, but I would rent this property again.

The house is wonderful. The view is gorgeous and the house and outside spaces make the most of it!

You can’t hear the ocean but you sure can see it! Phenomenal views. House is from the 80s but great bones - quality everything, bedding furniture etc + some real art gems. Mostly everything you could need in kitchen - we cooked all our meals there. If you’re a cook, bring your cutting boards, baking sheets, measuring spoons and evoo. They have everything else. 5 minute drive to cafes and lunch spots. But grab your groceries and liquor beforehand in Carmel or Monterey. Gorgeous Pfeiffer beach close and easy to get to. Everything worked perfectly. Private relaxing retreat for your next special getaway. Highly recommend!

Each morning was magic, fog giving way to the rocky shoreline and a beautiful ocean, all visible from a superb deck and pool.

Incredible views

You come to Big Sur for the view and this house has one of the best. But there's more to the house than the view. Lovely pool, beautiful, comfortable furnishings and an extremely well kitted out kitchen made our stay amazing. Will definitely book again!
