Custom cabin built and designed by Big Sur native. Every aspect of this property was expertly designed to maximize coastal mountain relaxation and rejuvenation. This is a unique opportunity to experience Big Sur in a home crafted and designed by a local of 64 years. The rich history of architecture can be found at nearby Esalen Institute; a family tradition.

If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful coastal mountain retreat where you can gaze at the Pacific and watch the sun set overthe mountains every night, this is your place.

Downstairs master suite includes queen size bed with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, attached bathroom with full tub and out door shower. Upper floor includes kitchen, and dining area with bay window. There are two bedrooms in cabin, and a bed Cabin is ideal for writers, artists and couples searching for inspiration and solitude. It is not suitable for parties.

Washer/dryer in basement.

Cabin is located 10 minutes from Big Sur proper (45min south of Monterey, CA).

We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate smoking or large parties. One small pet considered. Thank you for understanding.

We are going on Sabbatical the end of June until after Labor Day and prefer to rent the property to same person (couple) for the full two months. $5,300 per month with Bi-weekly cleaning & yard care included. All utilities and WiFi included.
