The Lake Champlain Home was lovely, light filled, and just perfect for a relaxing week. Lake Champlain is dramatic and we spent hours sitting on the porch or along the shore, reading books and catching up. The house is larger than it appears on the listing. Denise provided all the information we needed and checked up with us to make sure everything was perfect. A great place to stay!

The house and property are beautiful! There are so many amenities that we barely had to pack more than our clothes. We had the pleasure to meet our hosts Denise and Pete and they were both lovely and very welcoming and accommodating. Our family had a fantastic week at Lakeland! Thank you for sharing your special home.

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Denise and Pete’s home in Vermont. It’s a sleepy little area on lake Champlain and we loved how restful it was. We had a rental canoe delivered to the house and were able to paddle around and fish just in front of the house. The weather was a bit rainy but our hosts were gracious and provided ideas and recommendations. The house is located right near the Canadian border so we went up to Montreal one day as well. The house was equipped with everything we could possibly red and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

We had an amazing stay (5 nights) with no issues. Upon arrival the house was very clean & orderly. The host, Denise was great she was able to answer our questions quickly (mostly touristy stuff). The house was very spacious. It has 3 bedrooms & 2 full baths and was a perfect size for a family of 4. There are two living rooms, one of them the blue room is very large. There was a nice little sun room too that overlooks the lake which was a nice spot to have your early morning coffee in. Even though the house doesn't have air conditioning we were able to keep the house relatively cool in the 90 degree heat by keeping the windows open and fans going (several provided by the owner). The lake breeze goes right through the house keeping it cool. They have a beach area that you can use but it is very rocky, I would recommend using some sort of water shoes if you plan on taking a dip. There is a state park nearby, Alburgh Sand Dunes, that has a public beach (very sandy and large beach) The kids loved it and we highly recommend. The house is located within a few miles of a couple of towns that you can easily do your grocery shopping, restaurants, boat rentals, etc. There is a dollar general (of course) within a couple of miles of of the house to get your basics quickly if needed. Denise allowed us an early check-in and late check out, and gave us and the kids a nice gift upon arrival which was a nice touch. We highly recommend staying here if you are planning on staying in Alburgh.

We booked this house with the sole purpose of having somewhere nice to watch the total solar eclipse from. The house was very clean & comfortable & the views of the lake were breathtaking. The owners were very easy to communicate with - they even gave us great recommendations on places to visit, places to eat, and things going on in the area while we were up there.

Our family of five (3 adolescent boys) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home on the lake. The house is incredibly well stocked with anything you could need and is exceptionally well organized. It is very comfortable with space to spread out and enjoy the views of the lake. Denise and Pete are thoughtful and attentive hosts and readily available for any questions.

Great house. Clean. Hosts very accommodating. We were there in the dog days of the summer with lots of rain. Didn’t cool off at night either. No air conditioning in the home. And because of the rain and bugs, we needed to keep the windows closed. If you are ok without air conditioning on hot summer days and nights, this is a great house.
