Perfect Vacation at Sand Star

2nd year we have stayed here and love this property. Very clean and well equipped.

The only hiccup we had was that we could not find the actual address on any of the documents we had. The house cleaner said this had been a recurring issue with other guests. Luckily the tram driver knew where we were going. Would definitely love to stay here again. Golf carts worked beautifully and everything was immaculate in the home!

The location couldn't have been better—close enough to walk to the harbour in minutes, but tucked away that gave us the peace and relaxation we were looking for.The house itself was immaculate and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From beach chairs and towels to a fully equipped kitchen, every detail was taken care of. The Wi-Fi was strong, the beds were super comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our group to spread out and relax.We especially loved the outdoor porch area—perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks after a long day in the sun. The AC kept us cool, and we appreciated all the little touches.Whether you’re planning a family trip, a romantic escape, or a getaway with friends, this rental is a gem. We can’t wait to come back!

Few small things that could be improved, a mattress pad would help. The sheets kept sliding off of the bed. Also, adjusting the shower spray might help. Again small little details but overall wonderful experience and wonderful house.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We are regular vacationers at BHI and this was our first stay at this lovely home. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the items you need to create meals. The dining areas have ample places to sit and the living room is quite comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and provide a quiet retreat. It is close to everything- the harbor, shopping, the beach access and the BHI club.

We had the best time on our long weekend on Bald Head! The house was perfect and had everything we needed from pots and pans to cooking seasonings! The location was great with close access to the marina and beach access within walking distance. We would however recommend going further down the road to another beach access for better views. Overall the house was perfect for our group of five. We were able to enjoy every bit of the house from lounging in the large den to rocking away on the porch! The house came with two golf carts-4 seater and 6 seater. Bit of a tight squeeze to pull them out but we were able to manage. If there was anything we would change it would be adding blinds to the bathrooms. Primarily the master bathroom. The other house is in close proximity with views that look directly into the main bathroom. Overall a great getaway for all of us and would return again!

Overall this place was wonderful but only had one negative thing to say about property. None of the 3 bathroom windows had any blinds or curtains on them at all so was a little discerning, especially at night time. Would definitely stay here again but only if that was addressed.
