Pen y Bryn : Pet-Friendly 3‑Bed Cottage with Golf Access in Rhosneigr | Managed by Anglesey Holiday

We come to Anglesey every year to meet all the other Shiba Inu dog owners and booked this property as it was all that was available. However we were so impressed we have booked it again for next year.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pen y Bryn. The location is just perfect and it was fabulous watching the sun go down over the beach from the front garden. The house was very comfortable, the beds especially so. The kitchen was very well equipped and having the small utility a real plus point. One thing I though was lacking, was a place to hang coats in the hall way. This is a very small point which is easy to remedy. We have already booked again for next year.

Pen Y Bryn is a great property in a fabulous location close to the beaches and village centre. It has everything you need and has a home from home vibe. I loved it so much that I extended my stay by 3 nights. I am back in Anglesey in May, sadly Pen Y Bryn is booked, but I hope to return there and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We spent a wonderful 9 days in this well placed property in Rhosneigr. We are 'frequent fliers' staying in the village over many years and Pen Y Bryn is our new favourite without a doubt. All the rooms are really spacious - the downstairs bathroom in particular. The kitchen is well thought out and lacks for nothing in terms of pots, pans and utensils and the fridge, wine fridge and double oven are great. The beds and sofas are comfy and there is decent storage space for clothes in all bedrooms. The standard of cleaning was also good on arrival and the welcome pack appreciated. Maybe some new pillows are a consideration would be my only mention. The heating is very effective and the views to the beach are really lovely from the front and upstairs. The outdoor space suited our 2 mutts and we even got some gorgeous Anglesey sunshine to sit out in the back and enjoy. It is also located in a really quiet spot close to our favourite early morning beach walk. We stayed as a couple but the accommodation definitely has ample room for 6 people - our family were staying nearby too and we cooked for everyone and there was plenty of space to entertain them. The Anglesey Holiday Lettings Team were as great as ever when we had a query and all in all we enjoyed every bit of our break away. Would recommend Pen Y Bryn highly and testament to this is that we have booked it again for another break.

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint. Such a lovely house with everything you need. Don’t hesitate to book, it’s actually perfect!

The property contained all the needs for our family holiday and was presented clean and tidy on our arrival. Whatever the weather Rhosneigr always provides for a good break.

Despite the high winds and rain, we had a fabulous stay in this well appointed property equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay especially when the majority of time was spent indoors. Housekeeping standards were excellent with perfectly made beds and towels set out for our arrival. Welcome pack was very much appreciated, especially the take away hessian bag! House was in a great location, close to the restaurants and beaches. I would not hesitate to rebook this property!

Pen Y Bryn is a modern, detached house right near the beach, golf club and RAF Valley. So homely and accommodating for a large group. There were only 2 of us and we felt a little lost in there! The downstairs bathroom is huge as are all the 3 double bedrooms. Lounge and dining room are well proportioned. Kitchen with washing machine, tumble and dishwasher - lovely!! Walking to the beach takes minutes and you have a beautiful view out of the top velux windows. Lovely quiet street with friendly people. Very minor point was a tradesman was still in the property fixing the toilets when we arrived at 4 and he stayed until 5 to get everything done as he was unaware someone was booked in. No problem really, I just sat in the living room until he was done. I would 100% stay in this property again, it really was lovely. Rhosneigr is a quiet village and we had a meal at Sandy Mount, which was quite poor to be honest, and expensive, but with such a lovely home full of everything you need, I cooked at home! You will not be disappointed with this property. I have tried to book again for October and it's sold out - no surprise there.

We have visited this holiday let quite a few times now. For our family it is ideal and as soon as we arrive we relax and get into holiday mode. I could sit on the front all day and take in the beautiful views.

On arrival the property appeared to be a great size with 2 bathrooms, 3 good sized bedrooms and a large living/dining area and separate kitchen. We were initially very happy but on closer inspection a number of issues came up. Firstly, the property was not clean. On the surface it looked fine but upon closer inspection there were issues. I wiped the kitchen counter prior to cooking on our first evening and picked up dirt. I then looked for pans/baking trays etc and found most, if not all, were visibly dirty with some entirely unusable. The living space smelt strongly of dog. I have stayed in many dog friendly houses before and none have smelt anywhere near this. The curtains had large yellow stains on them which I assume were dog wee. Despite spraying febreeze and air freshener throughout our stay and airing the room as much as possible, the smell lingered and really ruined our time there. There were numerous cobwebs throughout the property and dust everywhere. There was also some mould in the bathrooms. We could never get a decent temperature to stay more than a few seconds in the upstairs shower so this was unusable. The tumble drier in the property was over full with water (it's condensing) and the fluff tray jam-packed which is obviously a fire hazard. I would have expected both of these things to be checked after each stay. I did report these issues to Anglesey Holiday Lettings and was told it would be reported to the owners private housekeeping team so I hope the next person to stay has had a better experience! Overall the location and size of this property is great. However, with the cleanliness issues and other little niggles (sofa zips don't do up properly and the cushions constantly fall off, no cupboard space at all in the kitchen so all food piled up on the available work surface space) I would not recommend it for a stay. There are many other wonderful properties in the area so don't be put off Rhosneigr as it is truly a wonderful place for a holiday! We will be back and would stay again with Anglesey Holiday Lettings, just not in this particular property.

Pen y bryn is on a quiet road with a lovely view of the sea whilst relaxing on the deck at the front of the property. We did this a lot! The house is pleasant but it is a bit tired in places and, as I often cook whilst on holiday, I found that some of the cookware needs an update. Location is fantastic, being able to enjoy Rhosneigr and have a choice of beaches to walk to. There are lots of places to visit but we had lovely weather and chose to abandon the car. The driveway can accommodate a number of vehicles and there is a farm style gate that encloses the property so that dogs are secure. Do note that the front garden wall is low, if you have a lively dog. The accommodation downstairs is ideal for anyone that has mobility restrictions, which one of our family members did.

Set in a quiet road but only a few minutes from bars and eateries. Beach also only a few minutes walk. Rhosneigr is a lovely place and easy to travel all over the island from here. Would stay here again.

This was our 3rd year in Pen Y Bryn. 6 of us grandparents, parents and children. The house is in a great position with a sea view and within walking distance of beaches and and local amenities. House is comfortable and well equipped.

We enjoyed our stay at PenY Bryn. The house was very spacious and good for families. Bedrooms were very good sizes and it was convenient having the 2 bathrooms. Very close to the lovely Rhosneigr beach too...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Property is well equipped, spacious, warm and comfortable. Beach and centre an easy stroll away. On drive parking is excellent. The gated garden another bonus for our dogs. Anglesey Holiday Lettings are fantastic. We would recommend them and this property to anyone.

This was our first time visiting Anglesey and what a wonderful surprise, pen y bryn was in the perfect position to explore the village and wonderful beaches and views, people were friendly welcoming and the weather was great for the time of year, we enjoyed every day and will be visiting again. Near a lovely beach for walking the dogs, enclosed garden, warm and comfortable and very clean, would stay again

Just come back from a week at Pen Y Bryn, which was a lovely modern home with great views of the beach from the front of the house. In an excellent position, minutes from the village centre and the beach. We only used downstairs as there was only the 2 of us and the dogs. Beautiful large bathroom downstairs, lots of room in the bedroom, although we did find the beds quite soft for our liking, which is personal choice. The lounge is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more besides. Sandy Mount House is a lovely place to eat. Great walks from the door. Would recommend this property and Anglesey Holiday Lettings.

This is the 3rd time staying here . Great bungalow clean and all amenities nearby . Walking distance to the beach ! Dog friendly Nice deck overlooking the sea . Comfy beds
