Peaceful lake house nestled in the Olympics on beautiful Lake Sutherland

This is a fantastic property in top shape. Yes, usually people come to this area to visit the many interesting attractions at the Olympic National Park and so did we. But next time we will for sure dedicate a couple of days just staying on this property, enjoy the awesome lake view, and sit on the deck to chill!

This lake house is immaculate. The view is stunning. We booked it as a home base for our family to explore Olympic National Park. The only change we would make is to stay longer next time!

My wife, three teenage boys, and I absolutely loved this property! We have stayed at a lot of different properties over the last decade, and this is perhaps our favorite. The view of the lake is perfect! You can enjoy the sunrise each morning. The dock is amazing! We spent so much time down there. They have a fire pit for s'mores. The decks are amazing. The open layout is lovely. And they even have a sitting area in the basement where you can watch TV. Can't recommend this house enough.

An amazing home with a million dollar view. We loved spending time as a family playing games, reading and relaxing on the dock/by the fire pit. It was a perfect home base for all our adventures in Olympic National Park. We did not want to leave and hope to be back someday!

We had a wonderful time staying at this home on beautiful Lake Sutherland! The house had a stunning view of the lake and hills and came fully equipped with what we needed. We also had easy access to many different hiking trails and other outdoor activities. As a bonus, Port Angeles was not too far away to get to a city if we needed anything.

Amazing house! We loved the lake access even though it wasn’t the right time of year to jump in. This house was clean, plenty of space, secluded, had beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. It was perfectly located so driving to Forks or Port Angeles was not that far.

The home is lovely, and tranquil with beautiful views of the lake. We wanted to BBQ however they don’t have the grill out in April. Why. I do not know. The other downside is they promote the property without internet however there is indeed internet in the house which the property manager gave us the password to. Why they promote the home without internet when there is, I have no idea, and especially at the price we paid. Other than the grill and no-internet in the listing, the home is special and close to wonderful hikes and outdoor activities.

This place is one of the most beautiful Vrbos I have ever stayed in. You dont even notice how cute and large the space is because the ciew just steals your breath away. We had the best time. I couldn't recommend it more.

Great location. Beautiful views of the lake. Kitchen was well stocked. We had such a good time relaxing and playing on the lake! Most definitely will be booking again.

Gorgeous house and property! Stunning views from the big windows in the living room so grandma could watch all of us swim down at the dock. Beautiful dock, easy to get in and out of with multiple ladders, no shade down there if you’re sensitive to sun though. House had great kitchen supplies for everything we needed for cooking and barbecue. Very private, sometimes noisy speedboats at night, but great otherwise. My family wants to make this an annual tradition!

Amazing lake house! The views are spectacular and it is easy access to the lake. We rented kayaks/paddle boards and they delivered to the house. The house itself was beautiful and the owners did a great job having everything setup and were very responsive. Overall fantastic experience. We hope we can come back again!

Our party of 7 had a great time - amazing view, lots of room, gorgeous deck. The house looks brand new on the inside -- fantastic facilities. We had not-great weather and totally enjoyed ourselves anyway because the house was so great. We had movie nights downstairs, did a big puzzle on the dining room table, and spent hours watching the clouds over the lake. We had three people cooking at a time in the kitchen no problem. We'd love to visit again.

Check in was easy! The house was spacious and welcoming. Lots of space for everyone to all be together or on their own. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! Getting up every morning to jump in the lake was wonderful. The stairs and dock were awesome! The view incredible! Wishing we could stay in the winter for a totally different experience.

We loved this house. The view is so beautiful and peaceful right on the lake. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfy. We loved swimming off the dock and watching the water skiers on the slalom course in the mornings. We thought it was the perfect location for exploring the Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake areas of Olympic park and also not far from Port Angeles to get any supplies you need.

The home and views were absolutely beautiful. We loved the dock and crisp, cool waters of Lake Sutherland. The home was stocked with everything we needed from coffee to extra blankets! Very clean and comfortable home for our family of seven to unplug and get some rest and relaxation.

Our family had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. It’s nicely stocked with all the kitchen necessities. Views and Lake Sutherland location are priceless. We loved spending time on the nicely redone dock and splashing in the water. It’s a trip we’ll make again!

We loved visiting Olympic Natl Park from house. Views from house were better than in the pictures. Swimming off of the dock was a hit for the family.

Great property! As advertised there is no WiFi, which did make it hard to communicate via the VRBO app with the owners. Direct text messages do go through, but sending and receiving messages via the VRBO app is hard. But overall a great place to stay!

The views were beautiful and the home was comfortable. We made dinners together looking out to the lake and all being together. My 90 year old mother loved the recliner looking at the lake after a long day. Close to Hurricane Ridge, Cresent Lake and Sol Duck falls. Thank you!!

The property was beautiful and the lake was serene. The house itself is exactly as pictured. You can tell the host puts a lot of care into the space, which is reflected in the very thorough instructions provided. There are quite a few guidelines to follow, so I'd recommend reading everything carefully, if not multiple times before booking. Guests should be prepared to devote a good chunk of their morning to the check out procedures. In addition to stripping the beds, starting the laundry, doing the dishes, and taking out all the trash, you are also assessed a cleaning fee. Be very, very sure of exactly how many people will be at the property at any given time. On top of the mandatory extra damage insurance, there were numerous mentions of paying for inspection and reset should the septic alarm go off. Since we had the maximum number of people staying at the property, I was constantly worrying about the septic alarm and the numerous signs throughout the house did not let me forget. We had friends who came over to use the boat that we brought to the lake, and I made sure they didn't use the facilities. We were charged an additional 250 for this even though they noted no damage or septic issues. Overall, the house was nice and the location was great, but I was too anxious to fully enjoy myself.

Everything was perfect! The house had gorgeous views and plenty of space for our family of 4. All the amenities you could need. We especially loved watching the eagles around the lake and the fog in the morning was gorgeous! Thanks Again!!need.

Wonderful in all aspects property and nature. I would suggest to arrive before sun set otherwise it might be a bit tricky to find property as it was for us.A bit stricter rules but reasonable property manager and super responsive. We'll be back again for sure. Thanks!

My family and I stayed at this house for a few days while visiting my brother. We all loved the house and all of the features available. The view was obviously stunning. The kitchen was well appointed and did include some basic spices. Everything was clean and tidy. Having a crib was great for my young niece. We have Verizon as a phone carrier and had 1-2 bars of service during our stay. You couldn’t watch videos very well, but it was enough to do some scrolling and check the weather. We were trying to enjoy each other’s company so it was to very important to us. The proximity to so many things including many places in Olympic National Park was one of the main reasons I chose this house and it worked great for logistics. I would definitely stay again and my mom was so sad we had to leave. She has told everyone about how wonderful the house was.

We were in love from the moment we walked in and took in the breathtaking lake view from the panoramic living room windows. Very relaxing and comfortable getaway for our multi-generational family.

We had such a comfortable stay in your beautiful home! The breathtaking views allowed us to watch the eagles soaring! Excellent sleeping in the beds, and a particular jigsaw puzzle made our stay.

Mark and Natalie's home is a wonderful escape and great location for exploring Olympic NP. A treat to wake up with beautiful Lake Sutherland and return each day to the same! We loved when the beaver swam by in the morning, and the sunsets are a must see. The house is very well appointed and very easy to just be happy to be there. Thanks so much!

Beautiful home, with private beautiful views on a magnificent lake. Easy to cook and sit on the patio or big living area and enjoy the views and eat and relax. The stairs are a hike to the lake. We were confused until the last day and did not realize we could park by the house and not the upper area outside of the gate. My wife did not read the instructions to completion on unlocking the gate.

Beautiful property, large enough for our family to spread out, and excellent location for exploring Olympic. Just worth noting - we have Verizon, and our coverage was very spotty. Handled most of our communication when we were away from the property and in range.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. After a day of hiking, it was nice to come back to a home and enjoy our downtime.
