Peaceful dog-friendly home with gas grill & nearby resort amenities

We stayed here with my elderly parents so it was nice to have a main floor bedroom and bath. Not handicap accessible but workable. It was nice to be in the woods and the road was a dead end so no through traffic. Very peaceful location. Driving distance to the beaches and places to eat. There were restaurants and a small market in walking distance, but a bit pricey. Every thing you need was there. I would stay here again.

Overall stay was great. Checkin easy. Was clean. I realize it is a pet friendly rental. But the first thing we smelled when we walked in was dog smell. Mainly in the entryway.

We had a wonderful stay, and did everything we could in the area. The house was very nice , clean and exactly as described. FYI…There were no wine glasses and the main floor bath tub shower mechanism needs fixing or replaced as it sprays water from the shower control. This is not a complaint just a suggestion.

Nice, clean (few cobwebs), pet friendly. Kitchen was pretty well supplied. The main downstairs bedroom was lovely with a lot of windows and a woody natural view ….but only a double bed (ugh!!!) with a homemade bed lift, it was weird but functional.there was no suite bathroom, had to go out to the kitchen’s bathroom. The upstairs wasn’t used but looked nice and functional with a shared bathroom. It was on a cul-de-sac, so it was quiet and a nice area to walk your dog!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It had all the amenities for our large family including a big outdoor grill. It was a very peaceful getaway. We liked the close proximity to the Crystal Mountain Resort and walked our dog over there each day. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay.

The property was clean and well stocked. Everything went smoothly. There was no hot tub on the property, which was the only draw back due to the listing title. Easy walk or drive to Crystal Mountain amenities. Grill worked and all appliances functioned. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful family weekend at The Saltbox. The property was clean and very conveniently located. Highly recommend!

This house was within walking of the ski lifts, which is exactly what we wanted. It was perfect for us.

In the description it says there is a shared hot tub and even has renter rules regarding it. However, there is no hot tub on the property. We would've loved to enjoy that after some frigid days at the slopes. Overall, place was clean, comfortable and cozy. Will definitely rent here again despite not having a hot tub.

The house was tucked into the woods with lots of trees around. We took a drive to see all the fall colors changing which was just a short drive away. As a family we all hung out and just enjoyed the fireplace and playing games. Perfect weekend away to relax!!

This is a great getaway location with great amenities located on Crystal Mountain Resort. The resort has so many amenities that you don't have to leave the resort or you can be close to some great little towns like Beulah and Frankfort!

My family of five stayed for six nights for a summer vacation Up North and had a great time. We've stayed at Crystal Mountain before so we were familiar with the area and the available amenities at the resort. I think the entire family agreed that we enjoyed everything the Saltbox had to offer. Upon walking in the first time we were immediately struck by how clean and homey that house was. The master bedroom on the first floor is great for parents and the kids all had plenty of space. My only nitpick was that the kitchen was not stocked particularly well with pots/pans/utensils and there were no containers in which to store food. Not the end of the world, but if you are making pasta for a family of five, just know it will be an adventure! All jokes aside, this is a great place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to head to Crystal Mountain.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Confused as to the information of shared ammenities and then it was pointed out that the pool was not available to us but there were other things to do. Great stay!

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this home. I brought my parents, who are in their 80s, and it was a perfect place for us. There was a ground floor bedroom and bathroom. The location was nice being surrounded by the woods and close enough to the beaches to drive there. We would stay here again.

The home was easy to find and had everything you'd expect from renting a house
