Doc House is a one-of-a-kind waterfront retreat, custom built to capture some of the most breathtaking views on Bald Head Island—while offering one of the island’s most convenient locations. From here, you can easily walk to the harbor, marina, Old Baldy Lighthouse, cafés, shops, and more.




Surrounded by protected maritime forest, this home offers both privacy and natural beauty, with towering trees, local wildlife, and peaceful surroundings. Inside, morethan 60 windows—many floor-to-ceiling—fill the space with natural light and showcase stunning views of the ocean, marsh, and forest.




Step outside to expansive decks or take your private beach boardwalk to the shore, where you can enjoy incredible sunsets. An outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off after a day at the beach.




Fresh linens and towels are included in the cleaning fee, and the home is dog-friendly for your four-legged family members. Guests also have the option to purchase a temporary Bald Head Island Club social membership for access to the pool and dining (fees apply).

*POLICIES/RULES*

-Ferry tickets and parking fees are not included. Tram reservations are needed in advance. Please check BHI Ferry website for pricing and reservation information.

-Bald Head Island Club Lifestyle Memberships are available for purchase. Golf access is NOT included with the Membership. Please keep in mind the BHI CLUB is now capping registration for their guest memberships. If you wish to attend the club please apply ASAP. Please visit the BHI Club website to review their NEW rules and fees. Keep in mind there are new rules regarding what days you can attend the club and what activities guest members can use. Contact the club directly with questions. We do not control club rates, rules, or restrictions. No discount or refund will be provided if club membership is restricted or denied.

-NO SMOKING + no vaping allowed at this property.

-This is a DOG FRIENDLY HOME: A non-refundable Pet Fee of $250 will be added to your rental if you choose to bring your dog. The Pet Fee is $350 for 2 dogs.

-Please make yourself aware of our cancellation policy. Insurance is highly recommended.

-Maximum Occupancy: 6 Occupants - Children must be counted within the maximum occupancy unless they are under the age of two (2) and are sleeping in a crib.

-Tenant Requirements: Tenant stated on the Agreement/Booking must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age, and acknowledge that they will occupy the Property during the entire tenancy.

-Doc House is a no frills oceanfront property with incredible views, a fantastic location and a private beach boardwalk. It is not a luxury home, and the rate reflects that. Please note that refunds aren’t issued for expectations of higher-end features or finishes.

-Manager and owner of the rental property are not responsible for citations received while staying at the property.

-Be respectful of the house and contents - it is someone's home. Respect the neighbors and neighborhood.

-No events or parties- If determined that a party/event is taking place at property, management has the right to evict tenants and guests with no refund given.

-If determined that a party took place on any of the nights reserved, reservation guest will be charged $500, no exceptions!

-No uninvited guests without permission.

-Shoals Club is not included with the rental of this home.
