Stayed Feb 20, 2026Cute home with a gorgeous oceanfront view. Steps from back porch straight down to a sandy beach. Smart TV in the living room and basic TV upstairs for DVDs only. Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of water pressure and hot water, and comfortable beds. Easy four-minute drive to Seal Rock Recreation Site where we saw starfish, sea anemones, and seals at low tide. Also close to Cape Perpetua, Yachats (spouting horn and Thor’s well), and Yaquina Head Lighthouse. It was a great vacation!

Stayed Jun 28, 2025We had an amazing stay at this VRBO! The location was perfect—right on the beach, so we could enjoy the sun and sand without having to venture far. But close enough to fun beaches/activities if you did want to venture off. We loved the variety of activities available; the board games, puzzles, and books in the basement provided a great way for our family to relax together when the kids wanted to stay in. If I had to be picky, I would suggest updating the shower towels, as a few had stains and weren't as absorbent as we'd hoped. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise fantastic experience. We highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing getaway!

Stayed Jul 3, 2025First, our GPS took us to the houses next door on either side of the target address. Once we finally found the very small, overgrown driveway on the 101 hwy we saw the Vacasa sign was partially covered by overgrown brush and the address post, while visible, is pretty small. It might be helpful if Vacasa had a larger sign and had noted the driveway is roughly 15- 20 yards past Sunahama Place street. (When driving south on 101.) If you’re driving a sedan, it might bottom out in a few spots on the rutted driveway. But the longish driveway helps minimize the road noise from 101 so it’s not really noticeable in the house. The house is on a cliff and has a great view, but unless you’re ready for the 60+ steep stairs down and back, getting to the beach means driving to a nearby park. The yard is large, but dry and dusty and could use some pine needle cleanup around the picnic table. The house was clean, but baseboards need wiping down. Stove works well. The gas grill is indoors and would need to be pulled outside for use thru a smaller sliding door- so we passed. The microwave is missing paint on the inside, but it works. Although with the missing paint it should be replaced. The deck off the kitchen is nicely painted and has a picnic table that was clean. Although there are 3 bedrooms on the main level, there is only 1 bathroom. The other bathroom upstairs is very, very small. The TV worked well in living room and is able to access all the pay channel’s: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. The view is the best part of the house. And since we were there over the 4th it was awesome that there were no loud fireworks in the neighborhood or on the beach. Outside yard could use some trimming and cleanup. The gate at the bottom of the stairs to the beach has been damaged and half of it was lying broken to the side. If you want a quiet area and a great view, this is your place.

Stayed May 29, 2025The property was exactly what was advertised! The views were spectacular! House was clean and comfortable with more than enough room for our group of 6 adults and one 4 year old. We loved the private beach access. Stairs are steep, but had no problems! Our family loved it and would definitely book again!

Stayed May 24, 2025This was a perfect spot to meet our college kids for a long weekend, and a great fit for our family of 5. We’ve stayed in countless rentals along the Oregon and Washington coasts, and this is by far our favorite. The stairs to the beach were doable even by our son who is recovering from a broken leg, and the views from the house, yard, and deck are amazing. Everything we needed, we found in the kitchen, and the WiFi was great, even for streaming. We really loved almost everything about the house! But the upstairs really needs window coverings available in all of the windows…especially the bathroom. Even though it’s very private, neighboring houses do have windows visible from the bathroom and upstairs side windows, especially at night. One upstairs window was also missing a screen.

Stayed Apr 17, 2025We loved our stay here! It had ample space to explore indoors and outside. We spent a lot of time on the deck and grass area taking in the views. Location is also very convenient. There’s local restaurants, grocery stores, shops and other state parks within a 5 minute drive. We definitely want to come back!

Stayed Feb 20, 2025It was a wonderful home. Beach access great but steep stairs (just fine). Not very well equipped. Only 2 kitchen towels. Not the right sized garbage bags. No salt and pepper. No sugar. Not enough coffee filters or coffee. Not required but typical. The bedding smelled of urine and needed to be washed. Hair in the sheets. I think they missed this bed during clean up. Washer ourselves and no problem other than, eqww. Not enough chairs for the number of people the house accommodates. Couch leg looked daunting. Didn’t use it. Coffee table shelf broken We did have a nice stay but someone needs to know this stuff. We would recommend with some repairs.

Stayed Jan 18, 2025Great place for our family! We made lasagna the first night, 15 minute drive up to South Beach Fish Market for lunch the next day (love that place), and we made breakfast-for-dinner with sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, and pancakes for dinner our final night. Views are great and the beach is so close. We streamed a movie on the house Roku device for family movie night. The kitchen, internet, and the house in general had everything I expected.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024The house itself is cool! The access to the beach was great. The stairs were very sturdy, my 80 year old grandma was able to do them as well as my 2 year old. You can tell some updates have been done in the home, but there is still room for improvement in that area. That didn’t stop us from enjoying the view or our family getaway though. The driveway is VERY difficult to spot from the road, but turning around is easy enough once you realize you’ve passed it. There is a somewhat creepy basement, but unless you’re retrieving games or doing laundry you don’t really need to go down there. The upstairs is also a little creepy, but has a gorgeous view and its own bathroom which is really nice. The washer and drier did not work well during our stay, so I’m glad I packed enough that we didn’t have to rely on it as it took 7 loads to get just a few things almost clean and I had to scrub those items with dish soap and a scrub brush after the third load. We would ultimately return if some upgrades were made, but until then we will try to find another home that’s a bit more up to date as some key safety features worried us. Neither the door leading to the basement or the door leading upstairs locked, which was a huge safety concern with a 2 year old in the house. They are also very narrow and steep stairwells, so my grandma was unable To leave the main floor. Outlets are very warn and it was difficult to find one that worked to charge things, that also concerned us with safety. Smoke alarms didn’t appear to be in date (at least one was so old that it was yellow), and that was pretty unnerving as well.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The sea drifter home at seal rock is very well photographed for what you get. The views from the living room and deck are wide open ocean views. you can leave your windows open and hear the ocean all night long. The property is very private and you don’t hear anything but the ocean. The private 61 stairs. to get to the beach are very convenient. The homes beds and pillows and linens were in good supply and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking dishes and materials. The home is very dated, but the location and Beach Access are what you want when you stay at this home.

Stayed Aug 15, 20245 of us stayed here for a long weekend. Plenty of room for all to feel spaciousness and privacy when needed. Perfect beach view and access. Lots of utensils and equipment available. Location is good for waterfront town hopping. The TV upstairs didnt work. The grill could use a good cleaning (it hasnt been used in awhile), and spotting the driveway off the highway is tricky. But these didnt hinder a great time.

Stayed Aug 10, 2024The house is pretty dated. Everything has been well used. The house is in a great location with a perfect view of the ocean. Great room upstairs for kids to have their own space. House gets very warm in the afternoon during the summer months. It has what you need to enjoy the coast. With a few upgrades it would be the perfect place for a family getaway. thewindows
