***Property Overview***
Escape the crowds of Seven Mile Beach for this peaceful North Side oasis. Welcome to Northern Lights, a 9-unit complex of privately owned two-story townhomes nestled in Old Man Bay.

Northern Lights #5 is one of the few 3-bedroom homes within the complex, measuring 2,400 sq. ft., and able to sleep 8 guests.

Lush tropical landscaping surrounds this small sliver of paradise with 240 feet of natural beachfront, sweeping panoramic views, and a protected coral reef teeming with marine life. Some of the island's best snorkeling and dive sites can be found right outside your door!

Alternatively, guests can relax above the waves on the shared private dock with cabana, or lounge poolside soaking in the sun and beautiful ocean views.

Inside, the downstairs layout is entirely open-concept with ocean views throughout.

A full kitchen with modern appliances overlooks a fully furnished living area with walk-out access to a screened porch. The living area has all the comforts of home with sofa seating and an entertainment center with cable television. Relax with a movie after a day of fun and sun, or kick back on the screened porch and enjoy the beautiful Caribbean views.

For indoor dining, a small dining table just off the kitchen seats four with the kitchen island seating another four guests. For meals with an ocean view, the screened porch dining table seats six guests. A propane grill is also provided for island cookouts.

-- Bunk Room - lower level, two sets of bunk beds that sleep 4 children or 2 adults, shares hall bathroom equipped with shower bath.

The home is equipped with central air conditioning but trade winds tend to keep the home cool throughout with multiple ceiling fans. A washer and dryer also come included on the lower level.

The owner provides a complimentary tandem kayak for guest use with a signed waiver required.

Nearby, Northern Lights is within minutes of a small grocery store, two beachfront resorts, and some of the best restaurants on the island. The airport and Seven Mile Beach are roughly a 40-minute drive away.

Northern Lights #5 is the perfect destination for sun-seeking guests looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds of Seven Mile Beach.

***Villa Cleaning & Sanitation***
-- All villas are cleaned and sanitized prior to each guest's arrival. We also ask our owners to provide a starter supply of extra cleaning products. Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

***Beach Notes***
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Crown owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to shifting weather and tide patterns. The next-door beach is also always available for your use. We advise guests to wear foot protection (pool socks or aqua shoes) when entering the ocean to avoid injury on coral heads, ironshore, or rocks.

***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is an unsightly nuisance that is largely seasonal in the summer months. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.

Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

    Northern Lights #5 is in our favorite area of the island. We love this quiet peaceful gem. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. The 2 sets of bunk beds were a big hit with the kids. The screened in porch is the perfect spot to enjoy coffee and drink in the view. The pool is well maintained and very refreshing. The short pier provided another place to sit and enjoy the glorious views. The ladder on the pier provided easy access to snorkeling. It was a wonderful week! We will be back again for another vacation in the future.

    Overall the property is lovely. So happy we stayed there and not on Seven Mile Beach. Condo could use a little TLC but the location is awesome and you can snorkel right out front.

    I never received the email to give me a check in code. I arrived at the property and it was vacant. I tried to message the host no response. I had to call vrbo and they had no way to contact property manager. Thankfully some lovely ladies cleaning one of the units was able to get in touch with their property manager who contacted the manager of our property. She said she sent an email 2 weeks earlier. I checked and I never got it. This was very poor planning…. I thought I was stranded… the vrbo rep was great … the property manager poor communication.

    Had a fantastic trip to the Grand Caymans and enjoyed our stay at Northern Lights #5. This townhouse served as the perfect 'base' for us as we rented a car and traveled around the island. Nice, quiet, and roomy location with great snorkeling and views right outside your door - sunsets are amazing. It is located on a natural beach (smaller and rockier) as noted in the description, but was a short trip over to Seven Mile beach when we wanted a change of pace and a different type of beach (more crowded but larger and smoother sand). Great spot for our family with 4 active boys (ages 10 - 15).

    This place had no beach. And I mean no beach. Using the dock to get into the water was also not an option as swarms, and I mean swarms of bugs flew up at you. The second floor air conditioning was broken. Thankful to have to leave early. Don't take your family here

    We unfortunately did not get to spend what would have been an incredible week at this villa in Grand Cayman due to the pandemic. But the communication we received from Grand Cayman Villas was above and beyond anything we could have anticipated. Consistent, clear, frequent emails letting us know where things stood regarding the island, the airport and what they were doing in their end to help us. Because of this we will be ecstatic to rebook this villa when all of this is over and we are able to finally visit Grand Cayman for the first time!

    We stayed at Northern Lights #5 last year. Enjoyed our stay so much that we had to come back. This property is exactly as described. Fully stocked kitchen and nicely furnished living room and bedrooms. With the unit being located on the North End of Grand Cayman, the location is very quiet and relaxing. Plus it is only a short drive from Rum Point. We plan on coming back again to Northern Lights #5 next year. :-)

    This townhouse has everything you need, and is very well maintained. The best thing about it for us was just steps to a wooden pier in back, where you drop into the water (or down a ladder) and swim only about two minutes straight out to a beautiful reef. Saw Longfin Squid and a stingray in addition to a wide variety of fish. Five stars!

    This rental property is everything you can imagine! The view was spectacular, the place was very clean and the location was perfect! This was one of the best vacations of our lives so far and having a great place to stay at helps contribute to that!
