Great location. - Only 3 parking spaces. Half of garage used for an old oven and trashed chairs- Had to call for door code after arrival. The portal said Not available “- Arrived after 4 PM and cleaning crew was still in unit. Their truck blocked all parking so we had to wait til they finished (which luckily wasn't long). The downstairs AC did not work. We had to call for service. The furniture was very dirty. The floors were filthy. The grill is charcoal, they should tell you that. The kitchen had no 9x13 baking pans and no salt and pepper. Actually no pans for a party of 8. 1 cookie sheet. WiFi was easy. We had to use our batteries in some remotes but it was easy too. Great location. It definitely needs some maintenance done. Only 1 throw blanket. No pool towels. This photo is after 10 minutes of being there. And it had just been cleaned! The casita at the top of the stairs outside was away from the main house. The bunk beds were in a closet and there was no closet up there. The couch up there was dirty as well.

I booked this place for a family beach vacation to celebrate my dad’s birthday. I also invited my best friend and her mom to come along. The property was perfect for us because my family was able to stay in the main house and each room had its own bathroom. My friend and her mom stayed in the separate unit upstairs with its own bathroom and living area are as well. This made them feel more comfortable during the stay because they had added privacy. The house had everything we needed to cook (except a lime squeezer, I recommend bringing your own if you’re going to be squeezing a lot or lemons or limes like us). I was able to make all meals for all my family with the utensils and cookware that was available saving us money bc we didn’t have to go out to eat, especially during the busy holiday weekend. If you expect the “brand new” feeling then this is not the place for you. It has a lived in feel that made it so comfortable and easy to enjoy. The kids had a blast at the pool every evening since it was located just steps away from our backyard. We all loved the house and my dad was especially enamored with it. Thank you for the easy checkin and checkout process and for the great communication during our stay. Would definitely recommend for your family vacation!

Upon reviewing the listing, I was surprised to find such a pretty property still avl for part of spring break week. Please don’t believe everything you see on the internet. This poor house. The true owners of this property, I would hope would be alarmed at how their property is being kept up. I would be. The property management company does not make sure that the house stays up to true high standards, especially when charging a high price for a stay. The grounds at this property, the yard, are terrible. Cigarettes everywhere, the under rock mesh is sticking up every 3 steps, Tin roof metal parts laying around the yard, pipes that should be under ground are sticking up, not a “paradise vacation spot”. I am 7.5 months pregnant and the furniture outside, is falling apart. One of the chairs is so broken that if you sat in it, you will fall through. I didn’t feel comfortable sitting in the chairs after that, due to not wanting to be hurt. The inside, it’s a true rental property. Every single mattress, pillow is stained. Badly. During our stay, in pulling the sheets back, you can tell that they were NOT washed in some beds. If you don’t mind sleeping with crumbs or someone else’s hair, then this house is for you. The mattresses are old and need to be replaced. The dishwasher does NOT dry or wash well. The washing machine gives off a very strong mildew smell. Front load washers are hard because if you don’t pull back the flap to wipe it clean, it grows mold. Contd

I hate reading long reviews so I broke it down the info I wish I had going into our stay.. PROS -adorable house -fully furnished kitchen -large open concept living area -comfortable couches -natural toiletries -great water pressure, plenty of hot water -more than one roll of toilet paper & paper towels -pretty backyard -close to pool -easy access (by golf cart) to beach CONS -two of the 5 bedrooms are completely separate- outside and up the stairs -bedding is old and tired -terrible internet connection.. smart tvs but couldn't stream anything, big problem for my kids -shabby furniture - barstools are a jenky DIY project and two of them broke while we were there, one while my two year old was sitting on it. Fortunately just scared her and didn't hurt her -beds and pillows are old/uncomfortable -fire pit outside is broken -house is showing signs of age in bathrooms and appliances Bring your own wine glasses, wine bottle opener, wooden spoons if you like to avoid cooking with plastic, washing machine detergent pods, dishwasher pods, trash bags, coffee filters (there is a regular coffee pot and a keurig). There is a charcoal grill, bring charcoal lighter fluid and a lighter. Definitely pack mosquito spray for the backyard! I tried several times to contact the management company before our stay to find out these things but wasn't able to get in touch to get an answer. We ended up having to to go the store upon arrival, but it wasn't too big of a deal. The good news is that when we did arrive and the upstairs unit didn't have any AC, they did have an emergency phone number and they sent someone out right away. There is a kill switch for upstairs to get the AC working. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. There is room for improvement but it was an enjoyable experience. As long as you can live without any internet and shoddy cell service (not sure if that is a this house thing or a Port Aransas thing?) then you can enjoy your stay.

The house was everything I expected. I didn't realize there was not direct access to the beach. So thankful we had the golf cart. Smoke detectors were chirping, and the kitchen could have been stocked a little better. With my big group two casserole dishes were needed. But we managed. Lovely house wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect location and great for big families. Only complaint would be that the floors seemed to have never been cleaned. Our feet were black after walking around for 5min. And one of the tubs upstairs wouldn't drain and was filled with sand. Simple fixes and other then that the place was a nice vacation home. Right across from the pool and 5min drive to beach.

Parking was very tight. Pool was close and convenient. House was not very clean, and had little to no necessities such as paper towels, dish soap, cleaners, etc.

We've booked this house twice - once for ourselves and once for family. It was as advertised both times. Really great beach house with a big shared pool only a few steps away and close beach access. They'd even upgraded a few things since last visit. Only gripe was there were no beach chairs outside around the firepit, which was odd.

Descriptions and pictures of bedrooms was confusing. We were short 1 bedroom and the hosts slept on the sleep sofa in the living room. We brought extra sheets and used them. Had some issues with enough towels and the AC. Maintenance was great intaking care of a few small issues and AC service came out and repaired it. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, would book with The Villages again.

I was notified that I'd receive check in instructions before 3 and never received them; I had to call. The TV in the carriage house didn't work; and the “bedroom” with the bunk beds was like a closet with bunk beds in it. Only one kid slept in there and the other felt too crowded. The garage door locked us out and we had to call maintenance; he seemed annoyed that I called. We've stayed in several beach houses over the years and are normally provided with trash bags. We were only given two. Overall it was ok, we weren't impressed.
