Newly renovated, large home, private, wooded area, beautiful river, pet friendly

This is our second time staying here. There are 17 of us and this house has plenty of room to accommodate all of us.

Overall impression of this property, Freakin Awesome. The pictures and description of site are very accurate, but you have to see this one for yourself. The host was very accommodating, keeping me up to date on any changes and quick to respond to any questions i had. Caught a few nice smallmouth bass out back in the river. The Alpena area is a nice place to visit, plenty of things to do and see, some very good dining choices as well, Starlite beach and splashpad were great. All within a very short drive. Thank you for a great experience. Will definitely keep you in mind for future stay.

The house and property are beautiful. Anything you could think of was easily accessible. Town is a short drive away. We all loved the many amenities. The only drawback was that some bedrooms did not have a/c..but no one said anything intil the last day. We had a play day in the river along the property. What a blast that was. The best part was playing with my children and spouses, 5 grand children and a great grandbaby. This was the first time we were all able to be together in over a year!

It had everything. Plenty of bedrooms, kayaks, canoe, fire pit by the river, a river, proximity to town, plenty of birds and nature for my photographer cousin and a nicely renovated upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs also has a full kitchen, complete with a dishwasher. A living area complete with a pool table and a TV room. There's 2 bedrooms down, one bedroom has 2 queen beds, with a bed in the TV area. Four bedrooms up with a master king bed and ensuite bathroom. 3.5 bathrooms. All bedrooms are very nicely sized. Oh...and a sunroom. It was the perfect place for us and all our family. We all had a most awesome time. Oh...and there's AC. Their home felt like home and made our vacation outstanding.

We rented the house to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. It was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms - so everyone was comfortable. We put my mom in the main bedroom, with the ensuite. She loved the walk in shower - with the bench! From the giant window, she was able to watch the kids take out the kayaks, playing with the dog and enjoy the beautiful property. The rest of the family was able to spread out over the remaining five bedrooms. Each bedroom was furnished with a queen bed and a dresser - making them easy to move into for the week we were there. We enjoyed cooking and eating together as a family. We spent a few evenings playing cards and watching movies on the HUGE TV. Kitchen was stocked so well - we loved having access to the shared spices. We forgot to bring oil to make popcorn on the stove - was nice not to have to run out, just grabbed it out of the pantry. There were lots of those types of little things that made the trip enjoyable. The house was equipped with everything you could need or want. Most importantly, the hosts were amazing and responsive. The issues we ran into were dealt with quickly. They're wonderful people. We had such a good time - hope to return again soon.

The house was very clean, and had everything we needed including towels, bedding, and kitchen supplies. Our grandkids and dogs had a great time playing in the river and kayaking. The house is very roomy and we were all able to spread out and had plenty of room for sleeping. We loved the fire pit area, and playing pool and darts in the basement. The owners are very accommodating and even came to the house to fix the internet when it wasn’t working. We would definitely stay there again.

Inside house really nice, modern new appliances and plenty of areas for people to have personal space. They are working on outdoor areas and landscaping but was still beautiful remote riverfront with abundant wildlife. Location close to local stores, restaurants wilderness, lakefronts, and great fishing only minutes away We would definitely rent this property again
