Stayed Jun 16, 2023The property was well-equipped and in an appropriately rural setting. Unfortunately, we had sparrows resident in the roof which the owners have since sorted. The dogs in the next door farm were also very noisy especially at night. So sleep was a real problem for us. Internet didn’t work either, but we had roaming. Otherwise a nice place and helpful owners.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Casa Muñeca is a well-restored old house in the countryside about 2 km off Marconia. It is well suited for parents with two children. Close to the house is a little farm with sheep, chickens and dogs. From the terrace you have a far-reaching view over the sea and on the mountains. We very much liked the style of the accommodation, the perfect equipment of the kitchen and the rural surrounding with the wide view from the terrace, which we enjoyed every morning and evening. During most of the days we made excursions either to historic sites (like Matera, Alberobello, Metaponto, or Sibari), to the mountains (Monte Pollini, Dolomiti Lucane) or to the seaside. Nearly every day we went swimming to the beach of Marina di Pisticci, which is, deserted off-season. Self-catering was easy due to the extraordinary cooking facilities, the supermarket in Tinchi and the large Saturday market in Marconia. In Tinchi is a little wine shop where you get the typical wine of Basilicata made from Aglianico grapes. Altogether we spent a wonderful holiday. We greatly appreciated the good contact to the friendly owners and the helpful cheery lady in charge of the house.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We just got back from vacation and we were in this house . A splendid place and strategic . Nestled in the countryside of Basilicata , just 10 minutes from the sea and close to very characteristic towns ( Pisticci , Bernalda , Craco , Montalbano Ionic ... and less than an hour from Matera ) . But mostly run by wonderful people . I recommend it to everybody.
