Newer house for quiet groups, great views near Cornell and Ithaca downtown, 6-11

Great amount of separate sleep spaces and big living area for family of 8 to hang out together. Difficult to use kitchen due to limited refrigerator/freezer space due to owners items left upon our arrival. Pots and pans limited for large groups with some too soiled to use. Bathroom items appeared to be owners personal items of shampoo etc., left for us to use. Only 8 towels left for a group of 8 to use throughout stay. No closet space for our use due to owners personal items. The most difficult was the memo on the thermostat that we needed to leave at a set temperature due to it controlling the entire house including the basement area that the owner was using while we rented the upstairs. The owner stated that they would get too cold if we turned the level down in the main house. This kept the main part of the house way too warm to compensate for the basement. Lastly, the owner originally stated that we could leave the house doors unlocked while we were there and didn't need the key, because they never lock their doors. We were not comfortable with this process. They did furnish us a key. The area was very convenient!

My family me some friends for a long weekend at this guest house recently. It was fantastic - tranquil surroundings yet close to grocery stores, a few restaurants, etc. and a short drive to reach Ithaca as well. Clean and comfortable, and Amy was very responsive with any questions I had. Highly recommend if you'll be in the area with some others!

Amy was a welcoming host who communicated with us throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The home is large and comfortable, and well accommodated our large family group. It is situated on a lovely property, perfect for bird lovers.

This is my third time to stay with Amy and Valerie. The house is in a bucolic community slightly outside of Ithaca. Close enough for a quick trick into town, far enough for beautiful horizons and very quiet. All the conveniences are present and the great room is very comfortable for hanging out. I look forward to a return to Ithaca.

Amy's house was great. Very clean. Large kitchen cooking and hosting family. AC was very important given it was in the upper 80s most of the time we were there. The porch was amazing. Spent evenings sitting on the porch talking and playing games.
