NEW LISTING! Spacious 4-bedrooms lake front retreat in delightful Alpena area.

We spent 11 days at the cottage while visiting our hometown for our wedding. The location was perfect and the cottage had plenty of space to entertain any guests that visited. Our favorite part was the sunrises and sunsets as you get a truly exceptional experience of both at this location. The hosts made us feel right at home and were always immediately available for any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again as well as recommend this place to our friends and family that reside there.

We had a family wedding in Alpena. We traveled from Arizona and stayed for five days at this lakefront property.The house has been carefully prepared for a seamless rental experience. Everything was clean. It was conveniently located between town and the wedding venue in the countryside.Kitchen is well equipped, washer and dryer were essential.We did not use the kayaks or other water toys that were offered but they were available.A shout out to our host. In the drama of the wedding weekend, I left several items and valuables behind in the night stand. The owner worked with me to allow access to the house the day after we checked out so I could collect my things. So appreciated.

Great home for small group!! Comfy beds and close to town!! Relaxing place to sit and enjoy the lake view and to listen to the loons!! Highly recommend and will definitely come back if we head back to Alpena area.

We traveled with four adults and four kids. There were excellent sleeping options and comfortable beds for all. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we could possibly need. There was a big yard (street side) with a fire pit, basketball hoop, and plenty of space for the kids and dogs to run and play throughout the day. The back yard (lake side) was our favorite place to spend our time with incredible lake views. The kids had so much fun swimming and kayaking and we were able to watch them while also enjoying the bald eagle, loons, blue heron, and gorgeous sunset. We are so happy with our stay, the host paid attention to so many small details that weren't even on the listing such as extra bag chairs in the garage and a stack of beach towels in the laundry room. We would definitely stay again!

The property is very close to the town of Alpena... A very neat town of about 9000 people.. many things to do in and around town... The property has a large front lawn area with a fire pit... Plenty of room where we tossed Frisbee, and did some other things... The back patio area is great for lounging around and enjoying food and drinks and views of the lake... The family enjoyed the use of the kayaks... there was always a bald eagle or two flying around... And the beautiful sound of loons calling to each other... The house was well equipped with everything we needed
