Located just steps from the sand, FerryTale Retreat offers a 4 bedroom escape featuring views of the Atlantic and the perfect vantage point for island sunsets. With two golf carts and high-speed Wi-Fi included, you'll have all the comforts of home just minutes from the beaches, clubs, shopping and dining.

FerryTale Retreat guests are eligible for to purchase guest membership at the Bald Head Island Club. This access grants you entry to top-tier amenities including the acclaimed golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, and the private fitness center and pool. We recommend coordinating your guest membership through the club's portal immediately after booking to ensure your family enjoys the full range of excellent social and recreational activities available during your stay.

This home is the ideal place for one or two families or a group of friends to enjoy a memorable vacation together. It has gorgeous ocean views from the kitchen, large front deck and upstairs king suite -- perfect for watching the sunset, moonrise and for amazing evening stargazing. The large, vaulted-ceiling living room and recently upgraded nook offer ample seating and entertainment options. Enjoy dinner out on a third private newly renovated back deck.

FerryTale Retreat has been professionally decorated in soothing shades of sea blue and grays to help maximize relaxation and bring the beautiful Bald Head Island beach inside.

The house features four bedrooms, three full baths and sleeps up to ten guests. The primary bedroom suite on the upper level has a king bed, flat screen tv, as well as an ensuite bathroom, a sitting area with a sofa and desk and private deck with amazing views.

The second primary bedroom has a queen bed, flat-screen TV, an ensuite bathroom and is tucked away in the quiet back of the house. This room also features deck access.

Another guest room has a queen bed and deck access and the fourth bedroom offers a bunk bed as well as a daybed with trundle. Closets include hangers and there are laundry baskets for your convenience.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all of the amenities you could desire and features stainless appliances. The kitchen is open to an airy dining room that seats eight and a newly remodeled breakfast nook for extra seating, dining and entertaining space.

The sunlit living room is open to the kitchen and includes a flat-screen Smart TV and a large space for relaxing with family and friends. The house is well-stocked with puzzles and games.

A full-sized washer and dryer are in a large pantry off the kitchen. A high chair and pack & play are located in the pantry along with an iron, ironing board and drying rack.

Each bathroom is equipped with a hairdryer. Starter packs of shampoo, conditioner, soap come in each bathroom. We also supply starter dish detergent, paper towel and toilet paper rolls.

Two 4-seater golf carts will transport you around the island.

We provide beach towels, all linens, pre-arrival cleaning, high-speed wireless internet service and four smart TV's.

The large outdoor area downstairs features tropical vegetation and opens to a finished spacious mudroom area to hang your towels with stairs to the main floor. There is a newly renovated outdoor shower perfect for rinsing off the sand.

A propane grill with tools are at the ready for you.

FerryTale Retreat is located right off of South Beach Wynd and is convenient to all the island attractions. There is plenty to do on the island - casual-to-elegant dining, several clothing/gift shops, camps, and education programs, etc. There is a full-service grocery store, ice cream shop and take-out pizza. Fishing, kayaking, surf lessons, scavenger hunts, and sightseeing charters are available.

5 stars! We loved the house! It was extremely well organized and decorated. You can tell the owners spent lots of time providing everything you could need. We really liked the beach paintings. We found that the location is perfect, near the beach, the golf course, market, and marina.

Ferrytale Retreat has all the details covered—and what’s more important than the details High-end appliances, super-well-appointed kitchen, impeccable décor, a Weber grill, luxurious memory foam mattresses, two great golf carts (but only blocks from a beach access). Great open spaces and comfy bedrooms—just a wonderful place to cool down and mix a margarita after a day in the sun. Highest recommendation here.
