Nature Lover's Paradise In The Driftless Area Of Southern Wisconsin, USA.

The house was beautiful and well equipped. We found everything easily within the house. Enjoyed just relaxing after along day wandering around New Glarus Beer, Bacon, and Cheese Festival.

We had a great time. The house is clean and everything we needed was supplied including a well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the appliances were of good quality. The host immediately responded to our questions. What we truly loved were the massive mature oak trees just feet from the large back deck. The host provided bird feeders and food. We saw and photographed: cardinals, blue jays, Baltimore orioles, orchard orioles, wrens, red headed woodpeckers, red bellied woodpeckers, hairy woodpeckers, nuthatches, indigo buntings, and a sparrow. We like birds.

Our stay at this property was an amazing success. We had a ton of fun. The host was so helpful and responsive. Would totally book this property again. It would be wonderful for a family/group with kids. The beds are very high if anyone is short(like me) but we enjoyed our trip so much!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hidden Bluff Lodge. The owner lives nearby so was accessible for anything we needed. The property is beautiful and well maintained. There was enough space for the 6 of us to spend time together and have our own space.

The Lodge was exactly as shown online. We were greeted by the owner upon our arrival and he showed us around the cabin and property. The Lodge was very clean, northern woods feel and in a very private location. The lodge was spacious yet was cozy for our group of eight. The hiking trail was marked very well and we enjoyed lunch out on the large deck out back while watching the birds at the nearby feeders. Plenty of firewood available for our campfire. Very peaceful and relaxing. We would highly recommend this beautiful Lodge! It’s a gem! Thank you for the wonderful memories we made at the Lodge!! Looking forward to another trip here!

Steve was such a gracious host! He showed us around upon arrival and even allowed us to stay a little after checkout since we arrived a little later than we had originally planned. Everything about the house was perfect. It was the perfect blend of a cozy cabin in the woods with all the amenities down to the classic Wisconsin junk drawer(which was so handy!! We used several of the things in there!) The house had everything we needed and then some. The living room with fireplace overlooking the beautiful woods and bird “theatre” was our favorite part. We spent most of the day in that room and loved every minute of it! Lots of kids items are at the house so it’s a very kid friendly place, we would love to come back with our kids someday. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Steve was an amazing communicator.The cabin and property was wonderful. Everything was very clean and the house was so well stocked. We spent full days sitting by the gas fireplace watching birds and wildlife, and taking advantage of the bright light for reading and crafting. We’re looking forward to coming back again and bringing friends

Steve was super welcoming and friendly. Home was well- appointed with all the bits and bobs we needed and more! We had lovely walks around the property, and thoroughly enjoyed the sun room with the gas fireplace. Even the drive up to the house is beautiful. What a lovely place to stay - wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely come back.

Truly enjoyed our stay! Well equipped kitchen, good communication and guidance from our host, beautiful location where nature abounds! Loved the birdwatching each morning over coffee. Our family felt right at home and had fun exploring the trails both at the cabin and the nearby state parks.

The host was very nice to show us everything and explain details. He was thoughtful and shared information about the history of the area. Amenities were very good and everything was clean, thoughtful details, information about the area, menus for local restaurants, etc. Kitchen was well equipped and we had a very comfortable stay.The hiking trails were fun and we enjoyed exploring the driftless landscape and terrain.The bird feeders and bird watching was outstanding!We felt comfortable, safe, and at home. it was a memorable family holiday!!

Steve was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and did a great job showing us the property and the home. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The house was very clean and exceptionally well stocked with everything we could need. The beds were comfortable, the water stayed nice and hot during the cold nights, and the cozy cabin living room made it the perfect place to relax. We even found ourselves becoming bird watchers during our stay! Being able to step outside, go for a hike, and get some fresh air was a huge bonus. We truly loved our time here and would absolutely stay again.

This was an amazing stay, not only because the house was great but because of having such a wonderful host. There was a snow storm during our stay, he was very considerate and plowed the drive in the morning for us. We had a wedding to attend that day and he messaged us to let us know it was getting bad out and to head back. I truly believe if he had not done that we would have not made it back to the house. They also offered for us to stay one more day at no cost if we needed to wait out the storm. What a wonderful host and overall person. I will be back for sure. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Was great having an in person welcome from owner !Everything was clean and tidy and accessible!Even fall decor !Awesome bedroom space and quality full size mattress !Board Game selection is cool Our only thing is we would have preferred a bit larger living room space or maybe more comfy furniture with big ottoman!But was minor compared to all we enjoyed !We also liked the simple closing instructions!

If you are looking for solitude, this is the place. It is well furnished and appointed, all you need to bring is food. If you do not wish to cook, there are several great restaurants within easy driving distance. If you get up early in the morning, you will be treated with the sounds of several owls calling from the woods. A truly great place to unwind, relax and enjoy some quiet time with your family.

The property is stunning! Hiking trails right off the front door that are nicely maintained. The house is clean and like home away from home, everything you could need is provided. The owner lives on the property, far enough away you dont even know they are there, but close enough to help if needed. Pets are welcome, just beware there are no fenced areas and wild animals abound. There is even a paddock for horses, it would fit four horses comfortably and is fully grassed with a water trough, however, I would bring electrical fencing to keep the horses off the fencing there. The other nice thing is the property is tucked away from main roads and has only a private drive entrance.

The lodge is a wonderful place that is perfect in every way. Lots of room,yet still cozy enough to spend time with family and friends. It is great that there is a window in the kitchen that allows you to interact with those sitting in the family room who are watching tv or just hanging out. A wonderfully large deck with grill and blackstone available is also there. Having a firepit located on the property was also a wonderful feature that we enjoyed. Steve is a great host who is very prompt at responding and very easy to work with. This is our second visit and probably wont be the last!

Beautiful home and my stay was so peaceful. Communication from the hosts was warm and welcoming, including letting me know when someone was coming to maintain the outside of the property. That was appreciated. I would recommend this home if you are looking for peace and quiet.

This property was a very fun stay for our family with the kiddos! Great location for a day trip to Madison and also visited New Glarus. The kids had fun in the loft and everyone loved having their own spaces. It was great having access to a grill and we enjoyed sitting outside on the wrap around deck for a very peaceful evening. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay that’s within driving distance to some great spots. Also was very well equipped for infants and young children!

The property and cabin were both beautiful! Steve was awesome, he greeted us when we arrived and walked us through the cabin. It was a wonderful place for a family vacation. Some of our favorite parts of the cabin were cooking family meals in the well equipped kitchen, enjoying time on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings as well as walks on the marked trails through the property. This is somewhere we would definitely come back to. Thanks Steve!

Beautiful setting tucked away in the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin located just where we wanted to be, close to relatives and family history.

Tucked-away perfection! Quiet, peaceful, and the fire pit made for the dreamiest bonfire nights. Pro tip: the basement is sweater weather, the loft is a mini sauna, and the main floor is juuust right—so pack for all seasons. The host? Absolute gem. You can tell he’s all about making your stay amazing.

There was enough room for my large family to sleep and eat. It was very private and quiet as there are only cornfields and trees surrounding the property. The host was very helpful and friendly. There was not a swing set as pictured, but the kids had fun playing in the loft.

Adorable country home with a full bathroom for everyone! Large kitchen table for the whole family. My only complaint…is that the TV room had no AC and only a love seat and two chairs. Our family loves to end the night with a family movie and there was no place to sit us all and it was really hot in there. The TV had very basic cable and none of the movie apps worked. The host was wonderful. Other than that it was lovely. Bring DVDs!

A lovely property.... Surrounded by trees and a path that goes around a wildflower meadow. The driftless area is one of the most beautiful I've seen in wisconsin. Host was friendly and accommodating. We hope to return

The house was everything we were hoping it would be. The area around is gorgeous. Very relaxing private place.

This is the place to enjoy peace and quiet, no neighbors parking in front of the driveway or loud music blasting thru the window. You are at the end of the road, only neighbors are wildlife, Steve and his family about a quarter mile away.The beds were more comfortable than our own. Steve went out of his way to do everything possible to make our stay perfect.

Beautiful Wisconsin countryside, property is secluded with a great gravel path for kids to ride bikes on, a perfect short private approximately 1 mi loop hiking trail. We had two young families present, eight kids six and under. The basement, two bedrooms and two bathrooms and upstairs. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms was perfect for us. The kids were more than occupied with the loft play area and playing around the house. Wrap around porch allowed easy line of sight as needed.

We had a family gathering for Easter. The house was wonderful for that. Lots of spaces for different activities. The kids, and by that I mean young men, really enjoyed the upstairs. Hiking the trails was also very popular. The kitchen was well equipped and large enough for several people to be working at the same time to prepare our Easter dinner. We would stay again.

This cabin was perfect for what we needed! We had 6 adults and everyone had their own place to sleep with room to spare and enough bathrooms and showers. We loved walking the paths on the property and playing cards on the poker table in the loft. Steve was so kind and informative and we liked knowing we could easily contact him if we needed anything. We really enjoyed the fire pit! Thanks for a lovely weekend away!

Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. We loved the fact this place was out in the middle of no where. The house was really quiet except when we got major winds (which isn't Steve's fault just part of nature this time of the year). The trails were an extra bonus for us and the dog. Our dog was in heaven. Hopefully we will get to come back again when the trees have leaves and the little church next door is complete. Thanks Steve for sharing your place with us. The cabin was the sweetest getaway for our friends! Great location that felt like you were in nature but close to all the small towns nearby. Loved skiing nearby and then walking the trails near the cabin. So clean, cozy and we loved the game table upstairs. The best time- thank you!

Amazing property, wonderful walking paths and a great accommodating host.

Our stay was in celebration of my son and his wife's 25th wedding anniversary. Their 21-yr old son and my daughter was also part of our group of five. We were each able to have our own bedroom along w plenty of bathrooms. Good quality mattresses made for a very good night's sleep. It's a beautiful ride there from Waukesha and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of room to spread out. We loved playing games up in the loft area where there is a game table. The kitchen is very well equipped with quality appliances. Can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the very large deck. Saturday night we enjoyed a taste testing and meal at Whiskey Run in New Glarus which is only 20 minutes away. Our host, Steve, was very hospitable, and great to work with. He and his wife live just up the road, so we felt confident if there were any problems he'd be readily available to assist us. We all agreed it was a fantastic weekend and we'd be back.

Our group had a wonderful stay. Your lodge was clean and you made our stay very enjoyable. Loved to be able to take a hike around your property and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We even saw some deer the one night right out our window. We would absolutely recommend your lodge to anyone and would most definitely come back for another visit.

If you truly want a fun place away from it all with hiking trails right on the property this place has it all! Property owner Steve is amazing and gives you a thorough run down of everything there is to do around there. The house is very clean and well kept, I especially loved the quilts, as personally I think quilts are the best blanket to sleep under. My favorite part was that my fury friends even my horse would be welcome to stay, as they have a large grass filled paddock. Personally if I brought my horse I would recommend bringing electric fencing.

We chose to stay at place in the driftless area because of its beauty. The lodge was spectacular. Spacious, cozy, gorgeous, and just what we all needed. The owner was respectful of our space and even gave us a tour upon arrival! Well worth the price!!

Exactly what my book club was looking for for a reading retreat! Beautiful, cozy, easy to find but still feels like an escape. We've already discussed how we want to see the views in different seasons!

My family and I loved the stay. Truly it was so cozy and felt like home. The area is beautiful. Hills everywhere. Sunrise and set are breathtaking. I had no problems staying at this home. Steve was very easy to communicate with. I can’t wait to rebook this home.

This was a perfect place to have a family Christmas celebration. Plenty of room (and bathrooms too!) Warm, cozy, comfortable and quiet. Steve thought of everything- including birthday candles, a crockpot and cooking spray. The kitchen/dining room was perfect for game playing. The living area even had a Christmas tree and fireplace. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin in the woods.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely secluded cabin - getting aways from the hustle and bustle for a few days. Very relaxing and nicely appointed cabin - it had everything we needed More than enough space. (and Steve was very kind to have info about the area and local food recommendations). It is 20ish minutes from New Glarus, Mineral Point and Yellowstone Lake Park. The property has great paths for dog walking. It was great hanging out on the deck looking out at woods, wildlife, and the stars at night. Definitely recommend.
