NO GATHERINGS, EVENTS, WEDDINGS, or DROP BYS:
While you are staying at our home & on our property, we Do NOT permit any gatherings, weddings, events or drop bys at our home or on our property at any time. All guests must be listed by name on the rental agreement due to insurance restrictions & limitations. NO exceptions !

NO PETS due to Severe Allergies, Wear & Tear & unpredictable Wildlife:
We are sorry, but your furry friends will have to stay home, or go on another vacation without you if you decide to stay w/ us. Both of us as owners, & our cleaning staff have severe allergies to pet dander & fur. Therefore we do not permit any animals in our home or on our property. Also, we do not have the staff to check the entire property for animal poop. We have a lot of wildlife up here on the mountain, & therefore it is very dangerous for any animal to be outside unattended. Even leashed, our wildlife can be rather bold (coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, bears, etc). Deer are plentiful, as are birds, & other smaller creatures. So not a good idea. Please leave them w/ family or friends. Thanks.

OPTIONS:
If Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch House, is already booked, not to worry. We also have our Cottage across the driveway for 2. Very popular. If not available or enough, we also have another property nearby in Sequim WA, just 15 minutes east, Bond Ranch Retreat. It’s a short 1.4 miles up a small hill to the south, but opens up to a spectacular 8 acre flat open pasture, private fairy forest & stream. It's a former horse ranch as well, & is made up of various charming cottages from repurposed ranch buildings from trees felled from that property over 60 years ago. Just go to our VRBO listing for Bond Ranch Retreat or online to our website to see & read more about it. It can sleep from 2-12 guests. You can hear more shared stories & adventures around our nightly bonfire there. My cousin Lisa manages Bond Ranch Retreat for us. Consider making a reservation there when the Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch House & Cottage are already booked.
Or if the beach is what you like, consider our spectacular Freshwater Bay Elwha River Mouth Beach property, the Duck Pond, off of scenic Hwy 112, 10 minutes west of Port Angeles. A true gem, that can sleep from 2 -10. All properties are listed on VRBO.
So check them all out for options on where to stay when you are only 2-12 guests. Always great options !
Please refer us to your friends & family as well for all our VRBO sites when they are planning an adventurous trip or romantic getaway to the Olympic Peninsula.
Do Come, Stay for Awhile, & Have a Wonderful Adventure in the Olympic Peninsula & National Rain Forest, or just take a Romantic Getaway from it All & Cocoon. We have just the place for you.

April’s home was beautiful, comfortable, so clean and well stocked with everything you would need. We had a wonderful time!! The view and windows are impressive! Perfect location. We actually cooked at home a few nights instead of going out just to spend more time there!

Five star views! We enjoyed our stay. The drive up to the house was very easy up from the main road, all nicely paved and with a good parking area. The kitchen was well stocked. The bed was very high and softer than what we prefer, but the pillows were perfect. We loved the views during the day along with lots of hummingbirds and a couple of deer in the front yard. Our favorite room was what we called the den with the view across the deck. The gorgeous sunrises were so very special.

The house was nice and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds flit about. The experience was a bit more stressful than it might have been because after booking, the owner sends a long, screechy DO NOT list and even pre-crabs at guests for things that other guests did. She was trying helpful in other ways, but I'd encourage a more welcoming tone.I also didn't realize at first that I'd be hit with a 3,000 damage deposit. Apparently, if you say no to the 89 insurance, you automatically pay the deposit. We got the deposit back, eventually, but not before my credit card statement closed, so I'll have to pay it and get a credit on next month's bill.I might have worried less about the deposit had the owner not been so harsh about damage on the front end.

Great Property to stay at! The views were beautiful from this home. The location worked perfect for our needs allowing us to enjoy so many activities in and not so far away, to good food options, and the ferry. It was nice to come back from being out hiking all day and enjoy the comforts of a home. Definitely would come back for another visit!

This place is an absolute delight. Amazing views down to the water and across to Victoria.Perfectly placed between great hikes and town. Also easily made of day of Hoh and the west coast. The inside is immaculate and we were rightly expected to care for it as our own. Owners were very responsive and helpful when needed. Found it just fine in the dark, very good directions.Deer ate dinner right behind the house on the property and weren't scared of us from the back porch. Loads of hummingbirds also.

Great location and incredible views. April was very communicative. Only flag is that the beds are all incredibly tall, which made it difficult for my elderly parents to use the beds.

Amazing stay! Best place I’ve ever stayed for all the amenities and the level of stocked items, including tea and tea kettle, all home essentials, olive oil and vinegar and even plastic storage bags, all of which came in handy. Plus a an unexpected welcome gift. Not to mention the gorgeous views and spacious, homey interior.

We stayed here while visiting Olympic National Park. The house is beautiful with beautiful views. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area! It is very close to Port Angeles for dining out and grocery stores. The description of the house is spot on. However, be aware of the rules for this home. And the beds on the main floor are quite high in case you have someone in your party with mobility issues. The mattresses are also VERY soft.

Beautiful home with stunning views of Puget Sound and Mt Baker. Lovely deck with lots of humming birds and other local wildlife. Great access to Port Angeles and Olympic NP. Owner is great and clued us in on the magnificent sunrises! My only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay.
