Mountain Views and Great Fire Pit

The cabin was super clean and very comfortable. A short drive to town, as well as all of the beautiful outdoor activities. Would definitely recommend.

The property was very quiet and the house was spacious and fully stocked with kitchen equipment, sheets and towels. We were visited by the local wildlife. It was fun to watch them through the windows.

Very clean, comfortable house with cute decor. Great views from the patio and a nice gas grill. We weren't able to use the firepit due to local fire restrictions. Definitely great place for a couple, and we'd like to go there again.

The place was everything I wanted,and then some. Also it is pet friendly, a huge bonus. I would definately return , this time for a longer stay.

We loved this place. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space for the two of us plus our labrador retriever. Our dog enjoyed exploring the great outdoors. The driveway is shared with two other homes, but they were very respectful when coming & going. The internet was a little spotty. I would suggest bringing your own mobile WiFi, if you need to do lots of computer work during your stay. As said in the description, the road leading to the home is dirt and has some potholes mostly by the dealership. The host was very attentive and answered our questions immediately. We enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the cool sun in the mornings & a light breeze in the evenings as the sun went away for the day and just getting away from it all. Payson itself is a great town. Reminded me of my hometown, Paradise CA. There is a dog park nearby (Rumsey Park). My girl enjoyed her morning routine of sniffin' butts and playing fetch. All the restaurants we visited had great food and big portions. We visited Macky's Grill, Rim Country BBQ (which offer BBQ, pizza & Italian), Crosswinds (where you can watch planes land & take off at the airport), Tiny's (served huge portions), Duza's Kitchen (eclectic options of food), Buffalo Bar & Grill. Many of these options have dog friendly patios too!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! We loved the woodsy decor, the open floor plan, and the big bedroom with a very comfortable king- size bed. The outdoor area had comfortable chairs, a nice grill and fire pit, and great views of the hills. We would definitely stay here again! It’s only a few miles to Payson and close to a lot of the outdoor activities we wanted to experience.

Lovely home in a quiet area. The pictures on the website are exactly as the house looks. Loved sitting on the patio watching the sunrise, sharing our space with the birds, the elk herd and the friendly neighborhood dogs. The king size bed was very comfortable.We enjoyed our stay a lot.

Everything about the property was great. Little tricky getting there with the dirt road and turn into the road but no other issues. Kitchen had everything a house would have. On site laundry was nice. Very clean and orderly.

spotless, well stocked, lovely furnishings,nice laundry room. I love being close to horses on that same road. Internet keeps cutting out but I would expect that in this rural area. Roads are deeply rutted but I like that - the country feel, but need to be careful driving. Very steep driveway prevented me from walking much - I am in the 70s with hip problems but not a problem for most, I would think. Still a very lovely property. Faye was very attentive by text when I had questions.

Loved the bears I found 44 of one kind or another. Did I miss any? Very nice place to stay

Great home base to see the rim. We will be back again for sure. Faye was amazing to deal with. We loved the decor throughout the place. Great patio and can’t wait to go back during a non burn time of year. My wife even bought Faye’s book. Loved this hidden gem

The king bed was super comfy and the kitchen had everything you could want. The nice small touches like the dog bed, bowl set, and dog treats were a wonderful extra touch. We had a great stay and the area was lovely with lots of dog friendly restaurants, parks, and hikes.

We enjoyed our stay in the Star Valley/Payson area. Will definitely be back!

Great little place strange frontage road to find property

Beautifully appointed home reminding us of our mountain home in Pennsylvania. Perfect for a long weekend get away from phoenix heat. The master bed was so, so comfortable, loved being able to cook with gas/propane once again. Many signs of elk as we hiked up a gravel/dirt road nearby. Discovered all we really needed to do was sit on the patio in the evening, as the elk came up through the trees behind the house. Truly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent host

Our 3 night stay was fantastic . The furniture and decor was amazing and very comfortable. Each morning we had coffee on the deck to plan our day. Perfect distance from Payson area making it convenient for restaurants, antiquing, thrift shopping and hiking. Hope to go back again.

Great location, cozy

So cute! Super comfy king sized bed. I thought of tying the mattress to my car & bringing it home. Ha. We were lucky enough to see Elk both evenings. So cool! They walked by so closely. Awkward & majestic! Good clean space & we didn’t need for anything! Hope to return some day! Thank you

This was such a great, cozy, little place to stay when I needed a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix. Perfect location, great hosts, very enjoyable stay.

Great location. Not well-cleaned. We found socks hanging out of the couch and under the dresser. The TV screen was filthy as were the main windows.

The location was central to all of the activities we wanted to do in the area. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful little home.

This was our first trip from the Midwest to Arizona. The house was in the mountains and had an amazing view every morning and evening. The firepit was perfect for a nightcap. The house is filled with details from the local stores. It is small and beautiful along with exactly what we were looking for. We drove in a different direction every day and enjoyed coming back to the house for evening relaxation. The house is exactly what was expected and would recommend any of my friends to visit.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. This home was exactly what we were looking for and the house was so cute. The owners little touches and beautiful decor made us feel very welcome. You could tell that she really cares and wants her guests to feel welcome. I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway. Just dont get startled by the roaming cows like I did. Lol. I will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was very enjoyable. Getting to the place was a little difficult but please follow directions they give to get thru the dealership and then it is easy. Days were wonderful and bed was comfortable.
