Stayed Nov 18, 2023Impeccably clean, modern conveniences, art work , live plants, great stream, fun kind hosts.......gorgeous mountains nearby . It seemed like we were the only guests who ever stayed there. Towels and bedding and TP and supplies first rate.

Stayed Mar 20, 2026Our stay felt like finding a little hidden treasure in La Veta! Tucked back on a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the river, it was the perfect setting to listen to the birds while we drank our morning coffee and enjoyed our evening cocktails. The unit has the added benefit of a short stroll to Downtown where we went for dinner one night and then checked out the local brewery the next afternoon. It was the perfect launch pad for hiking during the day and a lovely, relaxing, comfortable refuge to return to each night. The Manager was accessible and helpful when needed and Tanya patiently helped me navigate a small snafu with VRBO The decor is icing on the cake!

Stayed Sep 22, 2025Nice relaxing stay, beautiful home and surroundings. They supplied blankets and towels for our dog. Ate at Stofinos Italian restaurant in the La Veta in and a Aison restaurant called Lou’s. Both restaurants had wonderful food. Hosts were available for any questions and help. Enjoyed are stay.

Stayed May 22, 2025We loved this place so much. It was so comfortable. Loved the big windows overlooking the river. Very clean and comfortable. Great communication with owner. LaVeta was a cute little town, not much to do, but the Spanish Peaks were incredible. Just the Cozy Beautiful Peacefulness of it all was amazing. Thank you so much!

Stayed Mar 21, 2024This is the second time we have stayed here and once again, it was great. This property very well appointed and well maintained. It is a short walk to Main St. La Veta, which is very nice. Sitting on the deck in the afternoon, with the sun and the Cuchara River is very relaxing. It is a great choice!
