Welcome to Uncommon Accommodations, a boutique collection of designer tiny houses and unique stays on a private 14-acre riverfront property in Vermont’s Green Mountains near Stowe and Smugglers’ Notch. This modern luxury tiny house offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, with spa-style amenities including a year-round outdoor hot tub and a treehouse barrel sauna overlooking the river.

Guests enjoy over 2,000 feet of private frontage on the Lamoille River, with multiple swimming holes, a scenic waterfall, and quiet places to relax by the water. The setting feels secluded and immersed in nature, yet you are just minutes from restaurants, breweries, skiing, hiking, and the best outdoor recreation in northern Vermont.

The tiny house was thoughtfully designed and built by a local Vermont craftsman with a focus on comfort, style, and simplicity. Inside you’ll find a bright, modern interior with large windows framing mountain and river views. The space includes a full private bathroom with an on-demand hot water shower, a stocked kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, and coffee maker, and a comfortable sleeping area designed for a restful night’s sleep. A private deck provides the perfect place for morning coffee or evening drinks while watching the sunset over the Green Mountains. A curated record collection and turntable add a warm, boutique atmosphere for relaxing evenings indoors.

The shared spa amenities are a highlight of the property. Soak under the stars in the outdoor hot tub or unwind in the elevated treehouse barrel sauna after a day of skiing or hiking. Both are open year-round and professionally maintained. Guests also have access to riverfront beaches, walking trails on the property, campfire areas, and EV charging stations.

The location is ideal for exploring Vermont. Historic Johnson village is five minutes away for dining and essentials. Stowe Mountain Resort is about 30 minutes away, Smugglers’ Notch Resort is about 20 minutes away, and Jay Peak Resort is under an hour. The nearby Lamoille Valley Rail Trail offers excellent biking, walking, and snowmobiling. The area is known for craft breweries, farm stands, maple sugar shacks, fall foliage, and four-season outdoor adventure.

Parking is available directly at the unit, with additional parking and EV charging in the upper lot. From your door you can walk to the river beach or explore the property’s trails to discover swimming holes and the on-site waterfall.

The hot tub and treehouse sauna are shared amenities with other guests staying at Uncommon Accommodations. The property includes several unique rentals, creating a quiet boutique retreat atmosphere while preserving privacy and space. The property grounds were lovely and the view from our deck was spectacular! The details in the cabin were really convenient- lots of hooks and surfaces for belongings, kitchen supplies, outlets and usb ports. For a tiny house, it had a lot of space! It was about 25 minutes to Stowe, which was a pretty easy drive.

The unit is very nicely designed and very clean. It’s easy to navigate and far enough from the other cabins that it still feels quiet and comfortable.

Our tiny home was perfect for our getaway. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed having our own deck and fireplace. We particularly enjoyed taking an evening hot tub under the stars. The property was clean and well marked. We would definitely return.

Tiny house was very cute, had tons of amenities. Not as clean as we would have liked. Host was very responsive and offered immediate assistance to ensure a couple of inconveniences did not mess up our stay.

This tiny house was absolutely beautiful! The space was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable, and all the amenities were exactly as described. We loved relaxing on the patio by the gas fire pit, relaxing in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows, and watching the sunset. It was so peaceful and quiet, with breathtaking views of the rolling hills by the river. Truly stunning—and our stay was completely seamless.

Everything was extremely clean and comfortable here in our tiny home. Location was great! Just outside of Stowe but far enough out to have peace and quiet. Only thing I will say is the showers hot water is inconsistent. Was getting about 45 seconds of the water temp I wanted with 20ish seconds of scolding hot water in between. Not the end of the world but worth mentioning. Still giving 5 stars as that is easy to work around. Would stay here again

Had the most amazing time in this cozy tiny home! Our wrap around porch had the prettiest view of the surrounding nature, the size of the house was quaint and perfect, Tyler (our host) was super responsive, and we loved the little river area right down the hill! Truly cannot beat this location. We had the best view of the stars from near the hot tub, all shared spaces were great, and loved the charming porch lights everywhere. Felt so safe and comfortable here - hope to come back!! :) Downtown Johnson was cute and so close to Stowe! Cannot recommend this spot enough.

We absolutely loved our stay and I hope to come again sometime in the Winter. The tiny home had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the grill and hot tub during our stay. We also brought our dog and had no issues. The tiny homes are also conveniently placed near a river and a short trail to dog head falls. 10/10 stay!

This was such a lovely, well designed property....as well as a great place to kick back and rest our aching, exhausted feet...our pup loved it too! There was TONS of snow when we arrived but the deck and stairs were clear...the interior was warm and cozy and thoughtfully furnished. The kitchenette was perfect- a small fridge, a burner to make some homemade chicken soup, a microwave, a toaster, and most importantly....a coffee maker (there was also a grill on the deck which we didn't get a chance to use- but next time we stay here- we envision grilled maple glazed beef tenderloin in our future...). The shower was HOT- the stall was big and very clean. The property was situated off the main road overlooking the river amongst other tiny houses surrounding a central hot tub embraced by piles of snow(we did not get a chance to try out the hot tub during our two day stay- but other guests did- and it looked like a phenomenal experience). This was an A property- and we would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Tyler!

The view from our cabin was fantastic. We were right on the cusp of autumn and the leaves were just beginning to turn making for a very peaceful view. We had fantastic weather and used the deck and fire pit each evening. It was a great way to relax after a day spent exploring the area. We truly enjoyed our visit to Uncommon Accommodations and look forward to staying with them again.

The accommodations were perfect! Exactly as expected. This tiny house had everything we needed to live comfortably for 5 days. The grounds were beautiful, river access a little sketchy but river was high/low not sure but to be expected. Dogs Head Waterfall absolutely beautiful which was a short walk from camp. Hot tub fantastic I loved all the lighting choices throughout camp looking forward to going back fall/winter. Very peaceful and beautiful.
