Stayed Jul 1, 2023The perfect house/apartment location for six months in Spello. From the greeting and tour to the occasional interaction and solutions to the minor issues, the hosts were responsive and very charming. The house is perfectly located for immersion into the life of beautiful Spello. The garden and view are what you are seeking and every meal was eaten outside for months. Apartment is larger than others and perfectly accommodated our young family and the occasional visitors. A little warm in the upstairs bedroom over the summer months but no different from comparable properties. We couldn’t have hoped for a better house for our time in Spello.

Stayed Sep 1, 2019A great property and the owners are a lovely family who are extremely helpful and kind. The position cannot be beaten and the garden in such a small town is such an asset. We grew our own lettuce and ate grapes from the garden. The neighbours are wonderful and helpful. The hot water system may require attention as it ran hot and cold. The stove needed and received a thorough cleaning from us. The property on the whole though, is wonderful. Just off the main square and easy walking distance to the best bars , restaurants, coffee shops, gelato providers and small supermarket. Brilliant. The people of Spello, once you make an effort, are welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a great 2 months in this wonderful home in the heart of Umbria.

Stayed Mar 11, 2019A lovely spacious apartment with one of the best terrace/roof gardens in Spello. The view is perfect for reflection and relaxation. Very well situated just off the town square. The owners Giorgio and Anna are very responsive and changed the fridge the day I let them know the old one had broken. Thank you for a wonderful extended stay

Stayed Sep 3, 2018This apartment is a wonderful retreat from a beautiful town. While parking for an hour close to the apartment is available to drop off bags, overnight parking is in the general visitor car park at the foot of the town. There is no issue of availability there but someone has to be prepared to walk up and down the hill. If you are reasonably fit then I believe it is worth the effort to stay in this lovely spot and sit on the terrace under the shade of the vines and take in the view, away from any noise of the town. Spello is full of excellent restaurants, so no need to cook. I am sure I will be going back.

Stayed Apr 2, 2018The apartment was a great central point for visiting the towns around Spello, as well as being in the central part of Spello itself. It is close to several restaurants, shops, a market and a pharmacy. The apartment itself was very spacious for two and has a marvelous view of the valley as seen in the website pictures. The upstairs has a spacious bedroom and modern bath with a shower and clothes washer all of which worked well. The downstairs bedroom is more convenient but the bath is a bit cramped. It was clean, but the shower was difficult to use without getting the surrounding area wet. A small but functional kitchen provided all the amentities needed for simple meals. The stove worked, but needs a bit of maintenance. While the location is great, parking is a bit of a hassle. Overnight parking is in a lot away from the apartment and down a series of steps. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price, and we would return.

Stayed Sep 22, 2017We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 nights in this apartment. There were 4 of us, and we all felt very comfortable there. We used the kitchen to prepare many meals, and found everything we needed. We loved the garden with its views of the hillsides and ate several meals at the outdoor table. Spello is a great place to stay, with restaurants, shops, and streets to explore. We took several hikes, one right from the town to Collepino. All in all, we highly recommend the apartment and look forward to returning soon

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed staying here. It is very spacious and furnished throughout with a homely mixture of antiques (some very good) and 20th century vintage. The photos do not really do the property justice. The kitchen is actually quite roomy and very well equipped (like the rest of the apartment) except for a kettle. I loved the terrace with its wonderful views. Although right in the centre of town it is secluded and quiet in a courtyard off an alley off the main piazza. To get there: if coming off the autostrada from Perugia come off for Spello (not Spello Nord), follow sign for Centro at 1st roundabout, right at the second and left at the third signed Centro. As you come off turn sharp right in front of the enormous town gate. Follow road skirting round the town, continue on the road as it snakes up into the town. At the top turn left into Piazza della Repubblica. Go down to the far end from the Uffizzio Postale next to the steps and there is a narrow opening into the courtyard. The apartment is at the other end opposite you, up some steps. Highly recommended. Thank you Giorgio.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Here's your chance to stay in the most perfect place in Spello, which is perhaps the loveliest of Umbria's hill towns. Giorgio's family's apartment cannot be bettered in location - just off the main square - or its setting - a wonderful rural view over the hills towards Collepino. The apartment and small garden are completely private. The apartment is well equipped with anything you might need during a relaxing stay - the kitchen particularly is well stocked with cooking utensils - and the wifi works well. Giorgio and Giuliana were both very helpful and responsive. All in all, the highest recommendation!
