PANORAMIC FARMHOUSE IN UMBRIA IN SPELLO. MEDIEVAL RESIDENCE WITH RESTAURANT

First, driving up the hill, the road is small and Google Maps is a must. Once there, the view is spectacular. The main building is very old, beautiful and well maintained. We were met by the host/chef who gave us a nice tour. Dinner was five courses of wonderful local cuisine and wine which we never missed. Portions were large and the price was very reasonable. Breakfast was also large with pastries, meats, yogurt, eggs and cheese. It was fun meeting other guests in the dining room from many countries. We highly recommend staying here.

This property was so unique and honestly so magical. The grand dining room and sitting room were just like a snapshot in history. It was so cool to have dinner and such an ancient feeling place. The swimming pool was great. Loved being able to hang out in the sunshine with such a beautiful view and just relax. We just love having a nice place to recharge after spending so much time and busy big cities highly recommend staying here. It was absolutely fabulous. Also, the dinner that they serve is five courses fantastic local home-cooked and was ridiculous. Ridiculously good deal. highly recommend!!

Had the most wonderful stay at Il Bastione Agriturismo! Il Bastione sits about a 5 min drive above Spello. There are gorgeous views, lots of relaxing places to hang out and the most delicious restaurant! We went after a long travel day and relaxed by the pool and then had one of the most amazing meals at their restaurant. All the ingredients were so fresh, locally grown and everything was so perfect. We highly recommend it! You will be so happy you stayed with Jacopo and his wonderful staff!

THIS VRBO IS A GEM IN THE UMBRIAN HILLS AFFORDING BREATH-TAKING VISTA VIEWS AMIDST OLIVE GROVES. THIS AGRITURISMO IS LOCATED A SHORT DRIVE FROM THE NOT-TO-BE MISSED HISTORIC TOWN OF ASSISI WHERE ST. FRANICIS HIMSELF LIVED AND PREACHED. HOST, JACOPO IS EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND KIND. THE SECOND TRAVELLER/GUEST HAD UNFORTUNATLEY SUFFERED INJURY PRIOR TO ARRIVAL AND HAD TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. JACOPO WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH THE SECOND TRAVLLER'S INQUIRIES. JACOPO IS ALSO AN INCREDIBLE CHEF OFFERING EXTREMELY WELL-VALUED MULTI-COURSE DINNERS IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING. THE BREAKFAST IS ALSO VERY NICE. THE STAFF IS GREAT. ROOMS ARE SUPER CLEAN. HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED!!!

Clean, comfortable, amazing views, great pool. Spello is awesome, quiet, good dining, authentic Italian experience.

The setting was amazing. We stayed here while visiting Assisi. But Spello was equally charminig. The room could have been a bit better . . . and the dinning room as well . . . but the rest of the property was really worth it. All outdoor areas were great! A great value for the price!

Il Bastione agriturismo is perched on a ridge 2km outside the marvellous hill town of Spello and provides panoramic views of the Umbrian plain to the west. We loved the peace, the pool, the food and the hosts.
