Welcome to the Maine Ski House. This house was originally built to be a rental home, with every nook and cranny designed to accommodate guests. The house is outfitted with all of the supplies and conveniences you can imagine. Bring your clothes, your food, your skis, and toiletries- we've got the rest!

Whether you are drawn to the area to ski Sunday River (only 2 miles away) in the winter or planning a river or hiking trip in the summer: this is the house for you. You will be able to enjoy epic adventures during the day at nearby attractions including Bethel Village, The Appalachian Trail, Step Falls, The Androscoggin River, Mt Abram, Sunday River, Bethel Inn Golf Course and so much more. At the end of the day, return home for a soak in the hot tub, play games or build a puzzle from the well-stocked game closet or enjoy the “pub” while you watch a game on the 55” Smart T.V. For the kids, there are games, toys, and Wii & Xbox360 areas with dedicated 32'' HD LED TVs. Total of 9 HD LED TVs: 4 receiving high definition and 3 receiving standard definition.

This chalet-style mountain house features three levels of finished living space. With soaring ceilings, a two-story river-rock mantel, and a wall of windows offering views across the valley, you won't find a more authentic ski house than this.

On the main level, there is extended mudroom storage with cubbies, benches, and hooks designed for each guest to have their own space to store gear. There is a powder room with a beautiful glass sink, tile floor, and custom cabinetry. The great room and kitchen are expansive with an open floor plan intended to allow everyone to convene in one place. The dining table seats 14 people and there are stools arranged at the overhanging kitchen bar so that everyone can dine at one time. The living room is arranged with furniture surrounding the gas fireplace which provides both ambiance and heat. Walkout onto the sprawling deck where you can grill, have a seat in an Adirondack chair, or soak in the hot tub. Everything about the house is high-quality. From the granite countertops to the custom kitchen cabinets, no expense was spared in constructing this house and you will appreciate the condition of the house once you are here.

The lower level features the game room, the kid's area, and the pub. There is a well-stocked game room full of puzzles and board games for adults as well as little ones. A 55” Smart T.V. and an extensive DVD collection make movie night extra fun! The pub is a fun place to unwind; with cocktail glasses, drink mixers, a Jimmy Buffet Margarita Blender, and surround sound speakers- this where the adults will enjoy unwinding for sure! There is a bathroom, utility room, laundry area, and walk-out patio access on this level as well.

The Hobbit Hole House: This is a magical building that feels like a real Hobbit Hole House and is 5' 8 at the peak so adults can get into it, but it is the young children that have hours of fun with the IKEA table and chairs, IKEA stove and sink, IKEA & Melissa & Doug play-food and a full-sized futon. It is also a great place for an afternoon nap with two windows that have screens that let in a breeze. We hope our 'littlest' guests, and those with huge imaginations, will love the idea of a Hobbit Hole and have hours of imaginative playtime in it.

All beds, box springs, and pillows have bed bug certified encasements. Beds are custom made from logs by local wood craftsman Steve Stone and are very comfortable. There are extra linens, pillows, and blankets if needed during your stay. All bedrooms have ample storage, individual closets, and plenty of hangers. For rooms shared by several people, we provide hooks or storage bins for individual items to be kept separate and organized.

There is a Pack 'n Play if needed one-bed rail guard.

Bathrooms:

All bathrooms have beautiful glass bowl sinks. All towels (white) are provided, as well as labeled clips so each person can keep track of their own towel. This hopefully decreases the amount of laundry and assures people they are using their own towel.

We hope you stay here soon!

We have been to this home multiple times in the past when it was privately owned and not run by the rental company. It has been 5years since we rented this home, we were excited to go back and see how we felt being back and what changes have been made. We were a bit disappointed that no updates or improvements have been made to the property. It is still a nice home, but for example, the pictures in frames are falling out of the frames, hot tub is original and small, chair by first place is the same and still just as uncomfortable. Home just looks rundown now and not kept up on. We have decided to book a different home up the hill for next year for not much more money and brand new with a larger hot tub and sauna.

This house has everything and if you forgot something it has that to.... My family of 10 had more than enough room and space. From eating, watching tv, hanging at the bar, playing Foosball, or sitting in the hot tub or by the fire. The property is close to so many activities we went hiking, and frenchman's hole, step falls and tubed down the river. Highly recommend!!!!!

Maine Ski House comfortably accommodated our family with children ages 13 to 18 months. The kitchen is well eqipped for cooking and serving large meals. Area attractions were plentiful and within a short distance or longer if you want to explore the region. Mark was a great host.

A group of 10 of us stayed at this beautiful home. It had everything we needed and then some. I would definitely recommend and stay again, maybe during snowboarding season next time! Mark was responsive when we got to the home and answered any questions I had.

The house easily accommodated our crew with plenty of space and some nice surprises like 2 coffee makers, a wine/ drink fridge, a basket of towels by the door to the jacuzzi, a dining table that seated 12 comfortably and more. A minute or two from the mountain made it easy for people to come and go.

I rented the Maine house for a college graduation gift for my daughter. Friends and family came together for a week of relaxation and fun. The Maine house provided lots of room for everyone along with a lot of fun. We enjoyed cooking together, fire pit s’mores, games and the hot tub. A quiet place to get away!

We stayed at this property for a weekend reunion with friends who hadn’t seen each other in 2 years. The house was perfect! Exactly as listed, check in and out we’re simple. The house has lots of amenities including a hot tub, fire pit, board games, and much more. It’s in a great location with hiking trails and a Brewery down the street. Our group had more than enough space and loved our stay!
