Stayed Apr 8, 2026Our stay at the Trillium was amazing! The house we stayed in had plenty of room & everything we needed. We have a large family & there was more than enough room for everyone. We had some questions about amenities & other things, and Gareth our response agent was very helpful & a pleasure to work with. The house is beautiful & the view is even better. We are already planning our next trip!Thank you for a wonderful trip filled with lots of new & precious memories made :)

Stayed Sep 18, 2025We had the best time in this lovely home. It was clean and any questions were answered in the home guide. We loved sitting on the back deck and the beautiful setting of the home was so tranquil. The owner was extremely responsive to any questions.

Stayed Aug 10, 2025Good for a short family/friend getawayThe home is nicely decorated and set up well for a large group. It is cost effective and relatively close to Cashiers and Within 30 minutes to Highlands. Trillium is a very nice community. The Club dining room has beautiful Mountain View’s and food is good. The golf course is in very nice condition and isn’t very crowded. We booked this property for a month so we got to experience everything about the location and the club. For a longer stay it didn’t fit our needs. The biggest issue was that there was only one dining venue when both the vrbo listing and the owners manual said there were 2. We were looking forward to the lakefront dining and activities. When we got there we were told the lake club burned down 4 years ago and was scheduled to be opened until summer of 2026. The Trillium website also had the lakeside activities on its site and said nothing about the closure. Because the community is so spread out, the Club activities are spread around. The gym and pickle ball /indoor tennis courts are 3 miles from the house and takes 10 minutes to drive to. The pool area is close to the Clubhouse with outdoor showers no real changing area. We paid for a monthly Club membership. Usually with a membership you get reduced rates. Golf cost 190pp. The house does need some maintenance, one oven gave off a gassy smell, dehumidifier overflowing, dirty grill, door tracks need care. New manager was responsive to our issues.

Stayed May 9, 2025The property is gorgeous with a mountain cabin aesthetic The house was really lovely. The configuration was perfect for what we needed. The decor was very pretty with very nice views. I really liked the detailed instructions provided in the handbook for how to operate the fireplaces and other amenities. The outside hot tub was a nice reprieve after a hike and just to relax and warm up.On the negative side, several of the appliances either worked poorly or didn't work at all. It was a very rainy weekend for us and we discovered that the gutters really need to be cleaned in order to prevent rain from streaming onto the balconies. The kitchen could really use a deep clean. The cabinet doors and draws have spills and crumbs. Many of the drawers are disorganized. Some of the pots and pans are put away but not clean. By far the biggest concern was the downstairs gas oven, which not only didn't work. But also created a gas oder making us concerned for safety.I think the house could use a little TLC. That way future renters can fully appreciate all this property has to offer and won't be surprised or distracted by the inability to use the advertised appliances.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024The house was beautiful and roomy for the 11 adults that were with us. The house has beautiful fireplaces inside and out but it would have been nice to have been provided with some firewood. We did buy firewood at Ingles after we cleaned up the dead wood in the yard to burn. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen in a rental that I've ever encountered. Interestingly, there was no bath soap provided which is fine but for future guests, you may want to let them know. We had a lovely visit and will keep this house in mind if needed again in the future.

Stayed Aug 1, 2024This home is on the 7th hole of a beautifully landscaped golf course. Truly, the entire setting could not have been prettier. The NC mountain backdrop from the club terrace is incredible - so much so that we hired a local professional photographer to capture family photos. We had plenty of space for everyone to spread out a bit. The wifi was great for those who needed to work. The kitchen had everything a cook could want. The a/c worked well, and there were two refrigerators, two washers and two dryers which all were fabulous! We hiked, played tennis, boated, swam, and ate our way through the area. The club is about 15 mins from Cashiers and 30 mins from Highlands. We flew into and out of GSP which was really easy and a very nice airport. There are only three negative things I would comment on: 1) the carpet needs refreshing 2) the bed duvets need to be washed each time like the sheets 3) the management company did not check out the house thoroughly before we arrived - master shower drain did not drain and filled with water, and the front door locking system battery was going out. It took them over a day to respond and by that time we had gone to town, bought what was required and fixed both things ourselves.
