Mount Pleasant, Utah
Nestled in the mountains in Mount Pleasant is a secluded forest and home that is perfect for gatherings and corporate retreats. Upon crossing the covered bridge over Pleasant Creek you enter your own private 35 acres forest with secluded walking/snow shoeing trails and mountain views. The home includes a large kitchen that comfortably seats 24, a great room, two dedicated game rooms, bedrooms that sleep 35, a playground, decks with amazing views, a private cottage, and access to Skyline Drive for off-roading and snowmobiling (do an internet search for skyline snowmobile map, we are right off the reference road leaving East from Mount Pleasant. Some park at Powerplant park and snowmobile up to Skyline Drive, while others use the highway to access snowmobile parking lots).

There are no cameras in the home and cottage. Outdoor security cameras above & in the garage will remain on only for security purposes and to watch for Mika the outdoor cat (who eats/drinks in the garage). 4 trail cams monitor for deer/bears/cougars.
Winter Conditions: Mid December through March. Plan for the roads to be covered in snow. Many snowmobile up pleasant creek road to Skyline Drive (internet search skyline snowmobile map, see page 2). In the winter, we recommend parking trailers and two wheel drive vehicles at Power Plant Park. You may drive snowmobiles up to the property on the snow-packed road.
This is an awesome time to sled on or off the property. Children love playing outside and building snow forts. Snow shoeing is also be a fun activity (in the garage there are 9 pairs of snow shoes 6 adult and 3 junior snow shoes that you can use during your stay). There is are several trails on the property that you can explore, our favorite is hiking up the trail and then back through a few feet of powdery snow following the creek that flows through the property.
The city plows the road that passes the driveway, but the driveway will be covered in packed snow. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND four-wheel drive (ideally with snow tires or chains) while on the property because there is a small hill exiting the property that can be challenging for two-wheel drive vehicles or cars with poor tire tread to exit (see pictures for winter conditions). The recent atmospheric river has dropped a lot of snow in Mount Pleasant. Given the current weather conditions, I would encourage you to have any guests WITHOUT four-wheel drive vehicle with winter tires or chains to park in town or at the power plant park (1/4 mile from the property entrance) and be shuttled by those who have 4WD vehicles.

We had a beautiful stay. Many thanks to our hosts.
We booked this property for a funeral, and had family from several states coming. This house was huge, and fit our large group very comfortably. We took some amazing family pictures on the property, and the adorable bridge and with the beautiful fresh, fallen snow as the backdrop. We had a few small issues that we communicated to the property manager, who promptly replied and offered assistance with a resolution. Although we were only there for a very short time, we lived our time together and are glad we found a place that accommodated our needs. We are also very, very glad we got rental cars with 4wheel drive!
Fun things to do for all ages or just relax and enjoy the nature surrounding the home.
Location was amazing and the amenities plentiful. The kitchen and multiple large rooms provided ample space to move around. Looking forward to reserving again for future group stays. The scenery, trails and outdoor activities around the property can't be beat.
WOW! It's obvious that the owners care about their guests, and pay close attention to detail. This is seriously heaven on earth. Upon arrival, all the kids spread out to discover the delights of the house. We heard echos of oh my GOSH! and NO WAY for several minutes! This place is truly made for large families. The layout of the house is genius, with a door to the bedroom section of the house to keep out the noise. All the fun stuff (the loft and basement) are on the opposite side. The kid rooms were incredible. Lots of little Harry Potter closets for kids to play in, with toys and board games and just about everything you could wish for. The teens played pool, ping pong, and poker for hours. I will say there were a lot of rated R movies; we simply took away the remotes to avoid younger kids sneaking one. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated (the artwork is out of this world throughout the house!) and the mattresses extremely comfortable. I appreciated the ample closet space and shelving as well. The kitchen was well stocked - lots of dishes, various sizes of pots and pans, large skillets, a crockpot, etc. Huge, empty pantry, and lots of empty cupboards to put everyone's stuff away. The fridge/freezer is HUGE, plus there are two more refrigerators in the garage. (Side note, the garage is quite accommodating; it fit both our Nissan NV and my in-law's Ford Transit.) And the outdoors were even better! We especially loved the walking trail and gaga ball pit!
Everyone was impressed with all the games, art and the house itself. Really had a great time.
This house is awesome! Tons of room and so many things to do! Such a beautiful home with a beautiful view!
Loved staying here. Whoever designed this place (my dad) must have been a genius. Lovely location, excellent design, fun and games for everyone.
Brought toe family here for a family reunion and it couldn’t have been better. The property was stunning. Truly a serene setting. Perfect for privacy and hiking for all ages. The bridge made for the perfect picture location for the group photo. The home was massive and certainly planned for large groups. The pictures can’t do it justice. When you ask someone if they’ve seen your kid and they say “in the game room” you have to ask - “which one- upstairs or downstairs?” The kitchen became a gathering place for each meal with a center island that allowed everyone to help prepare the food. Needless to say, as the family in charge of this reunion, everyone kept complimenting how perfect the house and property was for everyone from the toddlers to try e grandparents! Just hope this review doesn’t make it unavailable for the next time we host a reunion!
We had a fantastic time at this house! The extras that made it special were all the game options available, from card and board games to pool to video gaming systems. The kitchen was fantastic for cooking in and feeding a large group. Plenty of beds and TVs. The location was beautiful, too!
This was a really fun property. We loved the artist touches throughout not just the house, but the hiking trails and surrounding area. The kids had a blast on all the rope swings. The kitchen was excellent for preparing meals. The property owner was good at communicating, and was very fair to us when the cleaners hadn't come to clean, a small inconvenience which she promptly and satisfactorily addressed. This is a really fun place and we look forward to returning again for another family reunion.
This place was amazing, the pictures really do not do it justice. Host was responsive with questions and issues we had with the property.
