Stayed Dec 27, 2025We just spent a week in CR, and this home provided a spectacular stay. We all agree, choosing this home was a highlight of our trip. There is so much this place offers: amazing views, daily wildlife visits, concierge-organized excursions, gorgeous pool, and daily (above & beyond) housekeeping services. The home was well-appointed and the perfect size for our group of 5 adults and 2 small kiddos to be together, but also have plenty of space during downtime. I am not sure how we will ever top this trip. It was sooo easy, enjoyable, and relaxing. Susan handled all the local logistics from airport transfers, rental car pickup, booking our activities with the best guides, arranging a Personal Chef for a few meals, in-house massages on NYE, and even calling the power company when the power went out. Hey, it happens! #puravidaWe really hope to return one day! This place is magical!

Stayed May 18, 2025We had a wonderful week long stay at Casa Bellamar. Everything was exactly as described. The concierge, Susan, was very helpful with pre-planning before we arrived all the way through to check out. We had the chef prepare dinner for us 3 of the nights and the food was delicious! The location was perfect for driving to beaches and all the nearby restaurants. I would highly recommend!

Stayed May 7, 2025The home and pool were lovely and close to Manuel Antonio, restaurants and beaches. The directions to the house weren’t good and the road to the driveway is so steep to actually be scary. (The binder in the house gave clear directions to share with taxis- just give those directions to guests.) A 4WD is definitely recommended. We didn’t see any monkeys at the house, which was mentioned in reviews and we’d hoped for. But there were iguanas and beautiful views!! We enjoyed the pool and having bathrooms for each bedroom. The decor is outdated but clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Apr 27, 2025Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. Susan was an amazing host, quick to respond and very helpful with scheduling tours, made the process such a pleasure. We hired Chef Michael for one night, wish we had him for the wholeStay. Food was amazing!Highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle as the hill is very steep to the home but soooo worth it! Take time to eat at Chillax And chat with Carlos and his wife, they are passionate about their place and their country!

Stayed Apr 15, 2025Loved our stay at Casa Bellamar. The house was super clean and welcoming. When you enter the house 3 rooms are on the left and the living area and pool is on the right. You’ll definitely get your steps in walking from master bedroom to the kitchen! The scenery is beautiful. So secluded and you’ll feel like you’re the only people on the mountain. We saw toucans and lots of iguanas. Sadly we didn’t see any monkeys, maybe our kids were too loud. We knew there was a lady who cleans during the day, but I didn’t know how great it was. We had arrived after having already been in Costa Rica for 4 days. We came home after a long hot day and the cleaning lady had done our laundry!!! As a mom of two young boys I was so excited. We left the house with almost all of our clothes clean!!! The road is definitely super steep, make sure your rental car has 4x4 drive. Also tour buses will not pick you up here, we had to walk down the road. Definitely recommend this beautiful place.

Stayed Feb 2, 2024The home is a 5 min drive from Manuel Antonio and Quepos. But definitely drive as the terrain is very steep and no sidewalks do bring a car that can manage steep hillside climbs on rocky roads. The house is a great size and the pool area was very enjoyable - we saw so much wildlife (even a sloth!) from the pool. Susan helped us book multiple fantastic tours and even found clothing for one of us who lost their luggage. We used the chef, Michael, 3 nights and it was delicious and way more convenient than driving out. The property is very clean! Highly recommend!!

Stayed Dec 30, 2023Look no further! Our Christmas holiday week at Casa Bellamar was truly unforgettable. Nestled on a quiet hill in Manuel Antonio, just a few minutes' drive from everything, this property is nothing short of fabulous. The location provides a perfect retreat for rest and relaxation. With children aged 10, 16, and 17, Casa Bellamar had something to offer for everyone. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and amenities such as Wi-Fi and Xbox connectivity added a modern touch. The outdoor patio, adorned with infinity pool, became the preferred hangout spot for our kids. Daily cleaning services, managed by the wonderful Mimi, ensured our stay was always pleasant. Mimi was accommodating when we desired privacy, making our experience even more enjoyable. Susan, the property manager, deserves special mention for her outstanding support. She reached out promptly after our booking, allowing us ample time to plan our visit and all activities. Throughout our stay, she remained just a phone call or text message away, ensuring a seamless experience. Casa Bellamar truly has it all – a stunning setting, privacy, three spacious bedrooms, a functional kitchen, breathtaking sunsets, and an infinity pool for endless enjoyment. The property even surprised us with visits from sloths, monkeys, and iguanas, adding an extra layer of charm. Our time at Casa exceeded expectations, making it a vacation to remember.

Stayed Apr 6, 2023We enjoyed our stay at Casa Bellamar. The house itself is quite nice, and the service from the house manager (Susan) was absolutely exceptional - help with check in, check out, and multiple tours/activities/etc in between. As described elsewhere, there are 3 en suite bedrooms plus a living area - each has its own A/C splitter (the living room can get a bit warm nonetheless, but closing the blinds during the day helps) and an open-air hallway to connect them. The pool/deck area is pleasant - and was regularly visited by large iguanas during our stay. The sounds of the jungle were great and the generally dark neighborhood makes for a clear view of the stars at night. The house is conveniently located - easy trips to Manuel Antonio and Quepos - and the daily maid service was a wonderful addition. The drive is dauntingly steep but workable (in a climate that doesn't see a day of ice, at least) - 4 wheel drive was helpful but perhaps not essential. We'd be quite happy to stay here again on a return trip.

Stayed Nov 27, 2022First time in Costa Rica. The house is in the perfect location. Secluded enough you feel you are the only one in the area but close to all parks and beaches. Our host was present when we checked in and that was extremely helpful. She helped us get most of our activities booked. I will recommend the fishing trip. And we hired the chef for 3 nights. Great food. Better than going to a restaurant If we go back to Costa Rica and Manuel Antonio will stay at this property again. I have recommended it to all of our friends. If you rent a vehicle make sure it is a 4 WD. The entrance is steep. Will save you some headaches when it rains.
