Find nature right at your front door at this luxurious, dog- and family-friendly waterfront home. Watch for a pair of nesting eagles, seals lounging on the rocks each summer, and fishermen hauling lobster traps from the front deck each morning while you sip your coffee and enjoy the sunrise. If you’re looking for more urban charms, downtown Boothbay’s shops and restaurants are only three miles away.
Outdoor space at home includes not only the lovely deck, but also a patio downstairs and a wide, waterfront lawn. Fire up the gas grill for a barbecue and spend evenings in the deck’s hot tub, admiring the stars. Gather around the firepit in the yard for some marshmallows or explore the water in one of the provided kayaks.
Inside, you’ll find abundant natural light, cathedral ceilings, and a wall of deck-front windows that bring the view indoors. The gourmet kitchen features high-end appliances, including a wine fridge, and lots of gleaming countertops, including a huge kitchen island. Dine together at the adjacent table or pull up a barstool at the island to keep it casual. In the evening, grab one of the movie-theater style reclining seats, get the floor-to-ceiling gas fireplace going, and host a family movie night in the living room. More entertainment options include a wet bar, complete with a retro mini-fridge and popcorn machine, free high-speed WiFi, cable, five streaming-capable TVs, board games, a pool table, and foosball table. At the end of the night, tuck the kids into one of the fun bunk rooms and have one last soak in the hot tub - another perfect vacation day awaits tomorrow.

We chose Boothbay Maine for our yearly men’s weekend in October 2023. We all arrived on Wednesday and left on Sunday. We were supposed to be 12 guys this year but only 9 friends could make it. The house can accommodate up to 14 people very comfortably. The location of the house was perfect being close to downtown Boothbay Harbor and the views of the water from the house were spectacular. We enjoyed the dock in front of the house where you could explore the water on a provided canoe or kayak. The house was great for a large group and it had all the amenities you can imagine (chef kitchen, pool table, foosball, bar, sauna, comfortable beds, etc.) The outside was great as well. You had a large deck where you could enjoy a stunning view while eating at a round table or lounging on a very large comfortable sectional. You have a barbecue and a fire pit with a sitting area as well. Also, having the outdoor jacuzzi was so much fun and a big plus. All in all, this house exceeded all of our expectations. The owners of this beautiful property went all out to give us a memorable experience we will all remember for a long time. Best Regards, Michael Reed & the guys
Spent most of our vacation on the deck. Enjoyed watching the bald eagles and lobster traps. Everything is as advertised. Would go back.
For a week in July 2023, we enjoyed a family reunion at this beautiful coastal home in a private, wooded setting. Our family consists of five different family units, including two older adults, our four grown children and their spouses, and three grandchildren, including an 8-year-old, 2-year-old, and a 9-month old baby. There was plenty of room to spend time together as well as ample private space for each family. The water view is lovely, and the house itself is not only roomy but also includes numerous amenities and recreational opportunities that the owners generously share with guests. These include a fully equipped and spacious kitchen, an amazing master suite, three full bathrooms, a large TV with theater seats, and a fireplace. The bedrooms are spacious, with large and comfortable beds and two built-in bunk areas for the kids. Outside, there is a large deck with an extendible awning, seating, and big family table, plus a propane pizza oven and grill. In the basement is a rec room with a bar and stools, a classic popcorn machine (supplied with popcorn kits), a sauna, pool table, and air hockey. Outside are a fire pit with plenty of chairs, a hot tub, plus multiple kayaks and a paddle board with life jackets. Just a one- or two-minute stroll away is a small beach that offers a swimming dock, a place to launch kayaks, a wading area, and rocks to climb on. We were all quite blown away by this spacious and welcoming home.
The Lobster Shack was the perfect getaway for our family! In Maine for a wedding, the Lobster Shack was large enough to house our family and provided multiple spaces for us to hang out without feeling cramped. The amenities and views were incredible, the neighbors were friendly and the short walk to the dock was perfect on misty, cool nights. We struggled to find a closet for the baby; families with littles beware the bedrooms are shared spaces (but they do have blackout curtains)! We will for sure be back again! Thank you!!!!!
Beautiful home, loaded with toys and goodies for play and cooking. Accommodations for a lot of people. Pool table, air hockey, and outdoor fire pit.
