This recently renovated beachfront retreat in Wild Dunes on the Isle of Palms has undergone a complete transformation since it was acquired by the current owners with all new furnishings and a completely remodeled kitchen.. Situated directly on the ocean, it offers uninterrupted views with a mere 50-foot stroll to the sandy dunes and beach. With seven bedrooms, each equipped with ensuite full baths, as well as two half baths and an outdoor shower/toilet for beach convenience, this property comfortably accommodates up to 18 guests. The residence boasts two levels of covered porches facing the water, providing breathtaking panoramas of the beach and surf. The lower porch includes an outdoor dining table and lounge area, while the upper level features a bar area overlooking the beach and additional seating offering a sweeping view of the entire shoreline and ocean.

Inside, the renovated interior showcases a spacious, open layout encompassing the kitchen, dining room, and living room on the first floor, all with ocean vistas at the rear. The remodeled kitchen is equipped with two full-size refrigerator/freezers, , an ice maker, a six-burner gas cooktop, double ovens, a microwave, all new, and two generous quartz countertop islands, making meal preparation for large groups a breeze. Should you prefer indoor dining, the ocean-facing dining table comfortably seats 12, while six bar chairs provide additional seating at one of the islands. The open living room features all-new furniture and a large wall-mounted surround sound 65-inch TV. The first floor also includes an oceanfront master bedroom and a convertible office/bedroom furnished with a convenient hot desk, complete with a monitor and keyboard, mouse and cables to connect to the monitor. The Wi-Fi has been upgraded to a commercial-grade system, ensuring seamless streaming from any room in the house, including the outdoor porches. Additionally, a new whole-home Sonos audio system allows you to stream music throughout the house and porches using your phone or computer.

Upstairs, you will find five bedrooms, including 2 king rooms with ocean views, 1 queen room , 2 twin bedroom, and a bunkroom with two queens and two twins up top. Each bedroom is equipped with new smart TVs featuring Roku capabilities for convenient streaming. An upstairs den offers a game table, lounge seating, a bar, a beverage fridge, and a 65-inch TV. Cable provided through YouTube TV via roku's attached to all tv's in the home.

Island Realty was a great host. Our air conditioner stopped working and they sent someone out and fixed it in a very timely manner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Family gathering from several states. Island Realty logistics were smooth and trouble-free. House was *fantastic*...kudos to the owners. The porch views were as spectacular as you hope. We brought a beach tent but never set it up - no need when your porch is that close to the water. We were there soon after Hurricane Debby while Hurricane Ernesto was in the Atlantic and there was a full moon. Lower steps to beach were washed away by extreme tide surge one night... Island Realty had steps repaired in half a day. ONLY complaint (a Wild Dunes regulation) is the inability to grill food.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 7 Dunecrest Ln is a great house – well maintained and furnished (including the best kitchen knives we’ve ever seen in any rental property). And of course, a great location. Our family very much enjoyed our stay. But a few comments as to the house: 1. Hot Water – very (!) slow to get hot water flowing in showers, bathroom sinks, and kitchen sinks, even though Island Realty had service technicians check. This is something that really needs attention. 2. Towel Bars – need in bathrooms, because the hooks on rear of bathroom doors result in very slow drying. And just not enough hooks. Seems to be plenty of wall space in bathrooms to install. And a few comments as to Island Realty: 1. Thanks again for getting left behind Kindle to its owner. Much appreciated. (Thanks, Linda!) 2. Need more and better (thicker) towels – which we assume Island Realty provides, rather than the house owner. Just not what should be provided in a house with the rental fee of Duncrest 7. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 5 nights at this beautiful property. The layout of the home was very conducive to entertaining and also allowed for relaxation. The main level and upstairs decks were huge and perfect for a beachfront experience. Kitchen was well stocked and almost everything was labeled. The ice maker was a great surprise! There are 2 refrigerators and dishwashers. The garage area is very large and provided cover for vehicles. Sonos and WIFI were easy to use and service was very good. Bathrooms in all the bedrooms was very convenient for guests. We pre-ordered beach chairs/umbrellas and bikes. Minor improvements would include: Additional towels, hangers, dish detergent, and garbage bags.
