Lovely Waterfront Owls Head Home w/ Own Beach

The house is quiet and peaceful and has gorgeous views of the water, trees, boats, and light house from all the rooms. The location is great - near hiking trails, the wonderful town of Rockland, and lots of fabulous restaurants. The little grocery store down the road has everything - including excellent coffee and adorable souvenirs. The furniture is comfortable and it's a great place to relax - or go for a walk or a hike. It's completely quiet and a wonderful place for a family to gather or for a single person to read and write a book! I wish we could have stayed a month - or forever!

The house was beautiful and what a location! The views of water and wildlife and boats were spectacular and restful. You are near everything that Midcoast Maine has to offer and more! Owls head itself is beautiful and with the great general store there is no need to leave the immediate area unless you want to!Absolutely everything is supplied to make your stay comfortable and convenient. Sea Breezes are lovely.Hosts were communicative. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! you will too!

The house is a lovely home base to explore mid-coast Maine. It has all the amenities we needed and the view can’t be beat!

This was our second time staying here. As we entered the house a bald eagle flew by the windows a very short way offshore while two great blue herons fished on the shore. This trip was for rest and relaxation. We took in a hike at Owl's Head Park. And, a trip to Rockport and the Peter Ralston Gallery. The week was a mix of sun, clouds, rain and fog. Enjoyed the walkable General Store nearby. Thursdays feature 7 napkin burgers. I did it with 4 1/2. Delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Owl’s Head and our stay! The home was lovely, very spacious, cozy, spotless, well apportioned, with an incredible view of the ocean. A perfect mini vacation to wrap up winter and welcome spring!

The house is lovely, great location and situation. The shore just below the house is rocky and charming, but requires caution descending to it (in the winter anyway). Sunrise over the south end of Monroe Island is just gorgeous. Views from every room. The kitchen is great, and the most generously supplied with cookware and dishes that I've ever seen in a rental. Super.

This Owls Head home was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the bay. It was also conveniently located to other central coast towns, but secluded enough to be completely peaceful. I would highly recommend it for your stay!

Lovely place, as advertised. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fabulous view. Would be a GREAT set up for a family with kids, as there is a basement level with bunk beds, a queen or full size bed, a full size bathroom, and a foosball table / game room! Really cool! For us adults, we stayed on the Main floor the entire time. Lots and lots of windows that can be opened to let fresh air through (but permit great views across the water to faraway islands!). Special shout out to the owner and caretaker. I accidentally booked wrong dates (my goof) and they were both very helpful to me when I needed to make last-minute, late afternoon modifications. I really appreciated their coordinated effort! Would definitely stay here again. Good proximity (ie, less than 30 min drive) to other communities for exploring.

Gorgeous home and setting with ocean views. Very comfortable too. Definitely a must while in Maine and the host was so accommodating with local area advice to tour there area.
