The beach view was great! Our family really enjoyed our stay!

Everything was very neat & clean. For a large fam mayb not enough towels ((1 bath/1wash cloth)/pp) it worked for us we were only 3 adults. However there was a lovely 2 towel gift set waiting for us. Which was an extremely sweet touch. The outside cushions could use a power wash, but you lay down a towel and it worked for us. There were plenty of supplies (TP, trash bags etc for our stay (3nights). Having a washer and dryer was helpful. Plenty of pots but only 2 lids. If you gonna cook anything.We loved the deck- we don’t keep our dog on a collar or harness at home so this gave him plenty of home comfort freedom with an exceptional ocean view. MB has an amazing view of the ocean. MBath has been remodel and is quite lovely. The house with 3 bathrooms was also a plus. Didn’t watch TV but there’s a big screen available in the living room. One board game avail for rainy days. Garage available for storing beach toys, chairs etc. The beach felt private. Neighbors were quiet. Felt safe. Easy access to the beach.Overall we enjoyed our stay if able we would like to come back in the future.

Great location right on the beach!

Wonderful view of the beach /ocean. Boardwalk to beach right outside the front door. Perfect for our family of 4, 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms.

Overall, it was good. The view was great. The house is right by the boardwalk entrance to the beach, which was super convenient. The house was clean and well represented in the pictures. I wish there were a way to get from the patio to the ground level, but you have to go through the house. The view from the master bedroom was great, but I was disappointed with how dirty the windows were. When there was direct light, the view was obscured by the hazy, windows. There are no restrooms on the ground floor. People coming from the beach who need to use the restroom have to go upstairs through the house. If more than one person needs to use the restroom, you have to go all the way to the top floor, where the other two bathrooms are located.The beach was nice, and our kids had fun in the ocean.We were caught off guard by people driving on the beach, and unfortunately, with it being Spring Break, there were tons of college-age young adults partying there. Periodically, there would be a caravan of police that would come break up their parties, and so they would all get in their cars, crank up their music, and drive down the beach in long, very disruptive caravans. They would rev their engines, fishtail, and sometimes treat the beach like a drag racing strip. My understanding is that this was only normal over spring break, so for those coming at a different time, it might be a better experience.The pool seemed nice, but it was too cold for us to use while we were there.

Very refreshing to come to this review on the coast with just leaving a different property not on the coast but was not welcoming at all. Love this place and would recommend it to anyone. Felt like we were wanted there. Good job and keep up the good work.

Well-appointed, and location location location. Steps from the beach. Easy access to everything we needed: HEB, airport to pick up a family member, Mustang and Goose Island State Parks, nice restaurants, coffee shop.Plenty of plates, utensils, glasses and serving dishes. Comfortable furniture, everything in good shape. Nice beds.Easy communications w/texts, info on fridge.Only negatives: ice maker wasn't working but we didn't need any. Wish there was a small pantry(even free-standing) to put our food; kinda covered up all the counters. This close to the beach, we didn't care. Great stay.

It is right on the beach and next to the pool. It was clean and spacious, decorated nicely with comfortable furniture. Also a large balcony to enjoy seeing and hearing the ocean. A nice touch was that the host left a thank you gift! We can’t wait to go again! Needless to say this was the perfect place for our girls getaway!

I’m torn on this review, the place itself was just as listed, great location right in the beach, the house itself was great but there small things throughout the trip that added up to me deciding I won’t book this place/management company again.

The house was decorated nicely, though immediately on opening the door there was a very strong chemical/mothballish smell that permitted the house. Since there are no screens on the windows we couldn't open the house up to air it out, almost a dealbreaker. Fortunately after a day it wasn't as bad. We loved being so close to the beach and driving to restaurants in town was quick and convenient. Only other complaint was the master bed( a king which was nice)which needs to be replaced, we felt we were in troughs. We would definitely stay here again, but hope the mattress is replaced.

There is a lot of stairs with turns if you're traveling with an older group. Master and master bathroom were very very nice. No issues with other areas of the house, just not quite as fancy as we thought it would be from the pictures. Parking is tight if you're in pick ups but the over flow parking is close and convenient.

Have stayed at several VRBO homes in Port A over the years, and this has become our favorite. Great location with direct gulf view. Clean, comfortable with all the basic necessities.

The property was clean and had everything we needed for a week's trip. The location of the beach access was perfect. Gulf view with easy in and out access.Far enough away from local stores and businesses to feel isolated but still close for eateries and grocery supplies.

We were looking for a nice place with ocean views and direct beach accces. Lost Colony delivered everything we were looking for with comfort and ease. Property was clean and comfortable . We will be coming back again! Highly recommend Lost Colony ! relaxing beach experience

Its a little beach house located right on the shore within a gated community of similar homes. The location is good, with the ocean visible from the terrace. However, the view is partially obstructed by lush green bushes, which also attract quite a few mosquitoes. The boardwalk is surrounded by greenery, and while I was initially concerned about snakes in the area, thankfully, I didn’t see any. One downside is that there’s no shower on the ground floor, but there is one on the boardwalk, though it’s also surrounded by the same greenery and mosquitoes. Additionally, the entrance had quite a few ant hills. The house itself was clean, and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with almost all the necessary utensils, though it would have been nice to have some basic items like salt and pepper on hand. I also noticed there were no extra throws or blankets; each bed only had a thin sheet-like blanket. Overall, our stay was enjoyable thanks to the beachside location and reasonable price, but I don’t think I would choose to stay in this house again.

The house was in the perfect location. Direct access to the beach and pool you couldn't pick a better spot. It was well maintained, clean and provided everything you need to accommodate a large family. It is three levels so be prepared for stairs, it was well worth the beach view and privacy. We did have an issue with the bed count but when we notified the management they resolved quickly. Thank you for a beautiful home away from home!
