Lovely home with recent remodel. Very clean. Manager next door was responsive to questions. But there were a few downsides to be aware of if considering. While the house feels new, it is a 1980's house with design challenges. The primary suite is gigantic and fabulous. But there is no door into the sink area of the bathroom, so no privacy and can't turn on lights without disrupting bedroom. Beyond sink area is a door to the toilet/shower area. Beyond that laundry. Primary bathroom is really only usable by the people in primary bedroom. The second bedroom upstairs is really small. Two downstairs bedrooms are average size but the bathroom is small and dated. The toilet/sink near front door is the size of an airline toilet. This house would work better for a family with kids and less well for a group of couples. The furniture is lovely but is mostly covered by stretchy protective covers that didn't stay on very well. Covers detracted from the otherwise beautiful vibe.Kitchen well stocked, but no working can opener and needs better cutting board.Towels were great quality but bed sheets were low quality. Extra fridge in garage was helpful and we enjoyed the kayaks. The outdoor seating was great. They did not clean the beach - it was covered in seaweed. Did not receive a contract until two days before checkin. So no way to say no even if disagree. Contract should be up front.Overall, 5 star price and really 4 star experience. Some small updates could help.

This was a great house for a multi-generation family vacation. Couldn’t beat the beach and shallow lake area, especially for the younger kids. Location to Charlevoix was very convenient. Property manager was also great and helpful for any questions. We had a wonderful visit and would definitely recommend the Loeb Lake House!

Beautiful property! The water is extremely clear and calm, with a sandy bottom. Perfect for small children to play in. The yard and deck are great. The house is very private and the neighborhood is quiet. The owners and property managers are very responsive. The house is packed with equipment (beach chairs, toys of every kind, life jackets, kayaks, etc.) - your kids will not be bored.

We had the best stay here at the alien Lake House! This house is very well appointed. The amount of useful items in this house is amazing! From the second refrigerator in the garage, to plenty of hooks to hang towels, usefulness of items in the kitchen, comfort of furniture, plenty of towels and blankets for all of the people staying at the home. We stayed here for my son‘s wedding at Castle Farms. Communicating with the owner and the house manager was extremely easy. The owner was especially kind and helpful knowing that we were coming in for a wedding gave us tips on where to eat and special things about the area. We were lucky enough to be here during the northern lights! This was a 10 out of 10 place to stay!

The house itself was amazing, however, the cameras, creepy neighbors and “fines” were way over the top. Cameras are used to monitor activity. The neighbors that the host uses to “monitor” the property came over and were way over the top with their rules. They also sit outside and on their patio and stare and monitor your every action. There is ZERO privacy. The rules and fines that they require you to sign on focusing. We’re also way over the top. Like charging you a full day if you are there 1 minute before check in or check out. Or fines for more than 4 cars in the driveway. (Which their creepy neighbor monitors)

This property was as-advertised. It’s a lovely house in a very special location. The property manager (next door) was helpful, knows the area and provided good local information- we really liked her.

We had a great time at Loeb Lake House. The property has a great layout, was very clean, and close to our favorite Northern MI spots. Both the owner and local manager were very helpful and attentive. One item to note, there is no central air although each bedroom has air conditioners that provide ample cool air. If you’re looking for a spot very near Charlevoix, we recommend checking out Loeb Lake House.

Great location and fantastic lakefront property, just minutes to downtown Charlevoix, yet peacefully tucked away on Loeb Bay where you get all the benefits of the lake, great swimming with a sandy bottom and beach that can be hard to come by. Home was clean and well appointed with an awesome deck that was well furnished with awesome views and easily our favorite feature. Loved having the kayaks available and enjoyed paddling the bay and evenings around the fire pit were hard to beat. With my niece getting married at Castle Farms, we decided to take the week and make a vacation of it and, for two couples, the location and accommodations were perfect. the kindness and responsiveness of our hosts and their neighbors was a big plus. Thank you for welcoming us into your home and helping us make it an unforgettable week for our family!
